I had visited another orthodontist office and was apprehensive. Afterward, I asked my dentist for a recommendation and he referred me to Dr. Fleming. Despite being further from home, I immediately felt more comfortable. As I entered the office, I noticed a few awards on the receptionist desk — he’s been named one of the areas best orthodontists in the Washingtonian Magazine. The office is bright, clean and organized, this is important for any medical office. They use an online appointment system and they’re moving to an online billing system. I really prefer a doctor who has utilized IT tools to make the patient experience easier. I also noticed that they utilize a customer management system — they track when a new patient has arrived and how long they are waiting. Plus, the staff are polite and knowledgeable. I learned far more about the options and costs than I had before. I have more trust in medical professionals that enable patients to make informed decisions about their care. In summary — a good doctor who employs both the right staff and right tools to keep his office running efficiently and effectively.
