Just got a root canal done about 2 hours ago and I have to say it was a very pleasant experience. Dr. Schoenly made me feel at ease by explaining the procedure and with his overall friendliness. I didn’t feel a thing, so much so I fell asleep in the chair! Let’s hope I don’t need anymore root canals in the future but if I do I know EXACTLY where to go. Thank you Dr. Schoenly!

I’ve never provided a review of a medical/​dental professional before, but given my positive experience with Dr. Schoenly yesterday, I felt compelled to let others know. Root canal… those two little words have always sent shudders down my spine. Although the office and staff are incredibly pleasant, I approached «the chair» with an overwhelming sense of doom. I wondered if this is how dogs feel when you lead them to the bathtub. In any case, I met Dr. Schoenly and given the fact that he appears to be younger than any of my children, I was a bit suspicious. However, from the moment he shook my hand, he put me at ease and inspired confidence. He did a terrific job of explaining everything in great detail, was gentle and unhurried, and answered all my questions. He made sure that I was comfortable, and took it nice and slow to minimize pain when it came to the injections. I have no idea what all he did, but I know that he was very diligent in ensuring a thorough job was done. Is a root canal how I want to spend my Veteran’s day? Of course not, but if it has to be done, this is the guy for you.
One teeny tiny recommendation: A root canal requires a lot of work on the part of the doctor and the need for some serious high-​tech equipment. I’m assuming that is why they keep the room temperature low (as in freezing). Ask for a blanket before they begin your root canal to stay warm (apparently, they have a stack of them). Unfortunately, once the procedures begins, you’ll have a block in your mouth and a rubber sheet to isolate your tooth which will make talking impossible.

I have a dental phobia, i’ve always dreaded the thought of going to the dentist. At times i rather deal with the pain than sit on that chair and allow a stranger with needles in my mouth.
I had a root canal done in 2011 that got infected. And knew i had no choice but to have it taken care of, I knew i didn’t want to go to the same dentist. Luckily I was referred to Dr. Schoenly. I had an appointment at 11:45 i arrived a little early and was seen a few minutes before my appointment. Office was nice and clean, staff were all very personable and friendly.
Once i got on «THAT CHAIR» he talked to me about what he will be doing, told me that it will be about an hour and ½ (i wanted to die) luckily that’s all i remember… the next thing i remember was being told its all done! WHAT??? NO! …This has NEVER been like any other dentist visit before. I felt no plain, i think i must of dozed off because i don’t remember laying there for that long.
He pulled up the X-​rays, explained everything that was done. My root canal looked amazing! I was extremely happy with my experience.
Anyways, if you have a phobia, and can’t stand the dentist. This is the guy for you. He’s gentle, he’s honest… he’s very well educated with the latest procedures. He truly cares about your well being, and wants to make sure you are as comfortable as possible.
I no longer fear having to sit on that chair because of Dr. Schoenly and the next time i have to go for a root canal i know the guy i want to go to.
