I owe Abdel at PC Tek a huge thanks! He went above and beyond to help me out of a serious crisis I was having with my MacBook Pro.
A little over two weeks ago, out of the blue, my Mac Pro started glitching and completely froze. I immediately went to the Apple store to have the problem diagnosed. They told me the issue was with the video card, and that Apple has acknowledged it as a manufacturing defect. Apparently Apple has replaced the defective part in several Mac Pro’s manufactured the same year as mine at no cost to customers. Unfortunately for me replacing the part would not be so easy. Apple claimed that an minor liquid spill that occurred two years ago voided any and all warranties. Even though the spill is unrelated to the current problem they are now under no obligation to comp repairs. I was then quoted an out of pocket cost of $ 1500 if I wanted to proceed with Apple making the repairs. Needless to say I decide to go elsewhere.
I found PC Tek on Unilocal and really liked the reviews I read, so I decided to see what they could do to help me. Abdel was very helpful and friendly. He said he would do everything he could to keep repair costs down. He wanted to see if it was possible to repair the part as it would be cheaper to repair the part rather than replace it. When he found it wasn’t possible to repair he told me he would reach out to a contact he has at Apple and try to convince them to replace the video card at no cost to me regardless of previous liquid damage.
Apple’s initial decision not to help me seemed definitive so I didn’t think it was possible to get them to change their minds but in the end Abdel delivered big time! He informed me that Apple’s corporate office cleared my laptop for repairs! In the end PC Tek saved me close to a thousand dollars and I owe it all to Abdel’s amazing customer care and profound integrity. The help I received from PC Tek greatly exceeded my expectations! I will definitely be recommending them to everyone I know.

My computer completely crashed and, of course, I hadn’t performed a hard backup in almost a year. I didn’t care about the machine just the data. Abdel was able to recover all of my data and repaired the machine. He kept me updated regularly on the status as the data recovery took several days. The cost was fair and Abdel even kept the store open late so that I could test the machine and the files to ensure everything was working. He also helped me reload my iTunes and added a better anti-​virus software along with good instructions on how to better backup data and better protect my laptop. I continue to me amazed at the restoration of my computer!

These guys are knowledgeable, quick, and have the best prices I have been able to find.
I’ve used them twice in the last year for a MacBook and a pc and both times they delivered exactly what I needed. I needed data recovered from a crashed hard drive and a system recovery on a computer with a virus that had the recovery image corrupted. They charged ¼ of Geek Squad, half what other businesses on craigslist were charging! They provide great communication too.
Needless to say, I highly recommend them if you need any electronic repairs.

My total cost was less than the diagnostic fee at other places (so less than $ 100), and I got my laptop back in less than 24 hours.
The diagnostic service here is free, which worried me at first… but the results have left me a happy customer.
There is another guy who works at the front counter — he is polite and professional. Abdel, the actual tech repairman, worked late into the evening on my laptop, even calling me a couple times with updates & questions. So I felt informed what was happening and I knew the cost of the repair before I agreed to it.

Abdel is a very nice person! He helps me diagnosis my Asus computer and find a great solution for my problem! I will totally recommend my friends to fix their electronic devices. He also do printers and mobile device. I plan to fix my apple with him as well in the future.

This place was a life saver! My computer went black and would not turn on out of the blue. I had not saved any of my data and I was in a panic to try and recover my data-​so in my search for a place, I can across PC TEK and called to get some information. When I spoke with Abdel he was very knowledgeable and walked me through the process and explained everything so I could understand. It took some time to finally recover my data, which I’m still in shock he was able to get everything back, but Abdel kept me in the loop throughout the whole process and explained each step as he worked on my computer. I now have all my data back and a like-​new computer that is working great.
I will most definitely be using this company again any time I have any issues with my computers or related equipment.

It was a nice service. Abdel was knowledgable and honest. I had 3 issues with my two Laptops and he fixed them all very fast. He even took the responsibility to order the parts for me on my behalf. Relief for a busy man like me. I am holding one star to wait and see if my Laptop runs fine for few months and his after sales service.

PC Tek was great. They were very honest about their time and tried everything they could to make it work and as efficient as possible. I appreciate the small business aspect of it — financially, communication and responsiveness. I absolutely recommend it to any of my friends and family. I was actually swayed to go with them after reading all the other reviews and their honest appreciate for this place and I can say I can as well. My laptop got fixed (DC jack) relatively quick. Had to order the part (on Friday, he ordered it minutes after I left the store), received mid week and got it repaired by the end of that day and in my hands a day later. Awesome service and very much affordable. RECOMMENDED!

Abdel was great. I had lost the administrator’s password to an old laptop. The online forums all set nothing could be done unless I had the original software. Abdel had no problem in getting the password deleted and getting the laptop back to normal

My laptop had been having issues with wireless connectivity and the video card. We found PC Tek when we googled for comp repair.
The shop is kind of hidden, but I am glad we found Abdel here. He kept the laptop for a few days and tried various things to repair it. When he couldn’t fix it, he got his friend to come look at it. He kept the laptop for a couple of weeks more until he and his friend fixed all the issues with it. He kept us posted about the machine’s issues, how he was trying to fix it and how much it would cost. He was aware of our budget and kept it very close to what we wanted to spend. We just got our laptop back yesterday and came away impressed with Abdel’s work and honesty. Highly recommend these guys for PC issues!
