Do not come here for inspections, even if they send you a coupon for half off! I had one car in front of me and I waited an hour and 45 minutes! I was told it would take 30 mins per car when I first got there and as I go to check out the guy at the front desk gave a completely different quote. Get on the same page people! Never again!!!

I cannot recommend these guys. I can understand these places are all about the hard upsell but when you advertise a price for an oil change, that should be the price. Holy fucking bullshit charges. Labor? You’re gonna charge me $ 10 for labor? On top of the oil change price? You have to fucking be kidding me. Plus the oil change took 30 minutes longer than estimated despite nobody else in front of me. They were just working on their upsell for tires. I ignored their bullshit and got out of there.

I used VTA’s new VTAValet service last week. I’m constantly traveling, and don’t have much spare time. I needed a state inspection and a new tire.
They came to my house on time and gave me a loaner car. The work was done and I got my car back without a problem. Enrique, the Falls Church Manager, kept me updated throughout the process.
I highly recommend this new service, especially for those with busy schedules.

Very friendly staff. I came because I had a slow tire leak. They assessed my tires for free then suggested I go back to the dealer to see if they were still under warranty rather than overcharging me here. I’m glad they made that suggestion because I didn’t even know that was an option. Turns out they were under warranty at the dealer!

I’ve been here to repair a flat tire, and for my state inspection. I’ve always came when they opened at 7am on a weekday. I’ve never had problems, and it never took longer than an hour! I will continue coming here for any future needs. Thanks for the great customer service! :)

Great experience. Went in for a perpetual leak in one of my tires. I’d already taken it to another place and they couldn’t find the leak. These folks worked on it for a half an hour and fixed the valve stem. Then they didn’t even charge me. Free fix! Thank you Virginia Tire & Auto

This place is seriously the worst. I do not recommend anyone coming here to get anything done on their car. 1. I got a safety inspection and told them already that I wouldn’t pass because of the brakes and needed a quote on how much it would be. I also wanted them to look at my alignment/​tire balance since I can feel something off when I’m traveling on the highway. I paid $ 56 for inspection and brake check ONLY (never looked at my tires and said they have no record of me asking for that). They said it would be $ 550 + for two rotors and brake pads. Yeah that seemed a bit high and they didn’t even check everything I asked them to. Said when I came back they would look at it free of cost (that too did not happen). I got my brakes done else where for under $ 300 down the street. 2. I went back for my inspection and there is only 1 guy that does it and is never there, same with the managers. So I wasted my money and didn’t even get all the services I asked for. I work in customer service and it seemed like they could care less to try to help or keep me as a customer. Also they tried to rip me off on my brakes.
I won’t even go there for gas anymore. Poor customer service. I highly recommend American lube down the street. They explained everything and why my car needed the parts I was getting and gave me a great deal with a 1 year warranty.

I don’t get stressed out too easily, but when I have car problems I pretty much go into panic mode immediately. My rear tires were all kinds of messed up, so I came to Virginia Tire & Auto to get my car looked at on a Saturday afternoon. They were quite busy, and the manager wasn’t entirely sure if they could squeeze me into their schedule. However, at Will C.‘s insistence, they agreed to take care of me.
I know absolutely nothing about cars or car parts (total ignorance), so I appreciate it when staff members take the time to explain things to me and don’t try to wheedle me into spending all my precious coinz. Every staff member that I interacted with that day was cordial, friendly, and knowledgeable. Will C. and I also took advantage of their shuttle service; they’ll give you a ride anywhere within a 5 mile radius, which is awesome since we had a bunch of things to take care of that day.
I do wish that someone from the station gave me a call when my car was finished though. They close at 6PM on Saturdays and I was waiting on a phone call all afternoon. I ended up calling them around 5:30PM to check on the status of my car, and that’s when they informed me that it was ready.
The next time I run into any car troubles or need a routine oil change, I’ll definitely hit up Virginia Tire & Auto again. They seem trustworthy and totally car n0ob friendly.

I’m woefully ignorant about cars, so finding people I can trust to take care of mine is essential. I came to VA Tire and Auto because it was near my office and I will definitely keep coming back. The staff are attentive, helpful, and good at their jobs. They don’t make you wait unnecessarily long and are happy to answer any question, no matter how stupid or basic.
They never tried to take advantage of me, even though it was painfully obvious how little I knew about cars — they truly seemed like they wanted to help me as much as they could.

Everyone is super friendly and professional first time here as I am getting my safety and emissions test. I left the car while I walked to giant to do groceries and it was ready by the time
I finished. for sure will continue to come in here while I was in here people were talking about how their come here because they like the service and they don’t feel cheated glad to find a place here in Virginia!

Got an oil change and a wheel alignment. I had an issue. I filed a complaint and the management were quick to respond to resolve the issue.

I went to another garage for years, but they stopped doing inspections. It turns out their inspector went to work for Virginia Tire and Auto.
I followed him over. This place is great. They fix everything.
But what sets them apart is their service-​they have a full time driver to take you home and pick you back up. Everyone is helpful and friendly; they explain their recommendations and do their best to keep costs and downtime under control-​all of this is much appreciated.
It also seems they have a lot of return customers, many people seem to know the employees by name, and they know their customers as well-that’s a good sign, one of stability and quality work!

I took my car to do alignment. They performed the alignment but when I took my car the next week to Hyundai dealership, they told me my car still needs an alignment. Not only they over charged me (their rate is 106 but the dealership rate is 69.99 including everything), but they didn’t do a good job performing regular alignment. They were convincing me to buy new set of tires from them but luckily I didn’t. If you think you are saving money by going away from dealership and to those guys think again… Those guys are a rip off… Stay away…

These guys are the best. Every time I go in there they are so friendly and helpful, and I feel like I can completely trust that I am getting the best service for the best deal. Even when I walked in without an appointment during rush hour, they were able to complete service (oil change) within 45 minutes. I also bought tires from them, and spent almost 20 minutes with one of the managers going over my options and the warranty that was available before making the purchase. I won’t go anywhere else from now on!

I own a 2012 Civic Si and wanted my tires changed… needed ultra high performance all season tires but did not want to spend too much. and they price match for any tires that you can find on tirerack or anywhere else. which means the cheapest possible tire prices. got such a great deal that i was actually able to afford their Tire Protection Plan as well.
Will be coming back again.

MJ saved our family vacation! After a long day in DC, we returned to the car to discover a flat tire. We limped out to Falls Church on the doughnut, only to be turned away by 3 different service shops because it was too late in the day or because they «don’t take walk-​ins» even in an emergency. We arrived at Virginia Tire and Auto at 7:53 pm, just seven minutes before close. MJ heard me out (I was frantic at this point) and promised he would stay as long as it took to get us back on the road. He even went out of his way to make my 5 year old nephew feel welcome in the shop by giving him crayons and a coloring page. The tire was patched in a few minutes, the work was done well, and most importantly I felt respected as a customer. Overall, my experience with this business was amazing. I would definitely recommend them to anyone living or visiting the area.

I go here for oil changes and inspections. On my last oil change, my oil was leaking and I manually tightened it, literally making 3 rotations. That’s really dangerous.
On the visit before that, the lack luster staff told me that they replaced my windshield wiper blades after I told them I didn’t want them to and charged me. They did not change anything! I was refunded though.

They were quick (emissions took less than 30 mins), efficient, every single person I spoke to there (about five) was very friendly and professional. The only thing I didn’t like was that they charge the maximum amount allowed by the state. I’ll most likely be back due to everything else.

I found my car in the work parking garage with a flat at 6 pm on a weekday, and after changing it and starting to drive slowly toward home on the donut, my fiancé called around to see if anyone was still open and able to see me so that I could get a real tire back on ASAP. This was the only place near my route home, and they said that if they were able to patch it, they could see me tonight, but that they could not fit me in for a whole new tire replacement. (Not sure why one would really take longer than the other.) When I arrived, I was a bit perplexed at the clean building with a bunch of gas pumps around it. There is no convenience store here. They man the pumps and do auto repair.
I did not hold my cards very tight (silly me) and said there was no way it could be patched, that it was really bad, etc. They totally could’ve taken advantage of me and told me that I was right and then could’ve sold me a tire for hundreds of dollars. Instead, one of the Customer Service Associates, Otto, pulled my tire out of the trunk and showed me where the puncture had been and told me he was confident it could be patched. The whole team ran some tests on it and told me to have a seat– they’d have it out in a jiffy for about $ 32. About 20 minutes and just that much money later, I was on my way home with my donut back in the trunk and a freshly repaired tire on my right passenger side.
I drove the 5 or so miles back home without any problem, but on my way to work the next morning while still on a side street, I heard something sound like it came loose and hit my car’s undercarriage before being spit out the back. I pulled over and checked the lug nuts on the tire, and everything was in place, the tire felt secure, etc. I’m not sure if they left something semi-​lodged in the tire that took a bit to be expelled (like the chalk they used to mark it) or what, but it was a little scary preparing to get on the highway not quite knowing what happened, so… minus ½ star.
I got three separate emails within the days after my visit. «Tell Us About Your Visit.», «We’re Glad You Chose Us!», and «Your Bridgestone Service History…» I would have really preferred not to get the first two, but at the very least, combining them in to one or two emails would have been reasonable. I do appreciate having my service history electronically. (Minus another ½ star.) I know it’s important to keep all the papers having to do with your car’s service history in the glovebox, but it’s nice to know that it’s in my email should it ever be needed.
I know they have lifetime warranty on tires purchased there, so depending on how competitive the pricing of their tires is, I’d probably choose to go back here. I felt well taken care of and enjoyed the modern, clean shop staffed by friendly employees.

I had a minor or I should say a HUGE pot hole incident while on a business trip. It left a big crack on my rim and the tire was ripped. Not knowing anything about car repair services in the area, I decided to use Unilocal to find one. This place was really close to the office and off I went.
It is co-​operating with Shell Gas Station which was very convenient since I needed gas anyways.
I was greeted promptly by one of the managers and he took the time out to explain to me the details behind what requirements should be reviewed when replacing the tire. I simply wanted to cheapest but he recommended that I go with something of the similar specs as the old one because my car is hybrid and the performance tire was lighter in weight for this vehicle. The exactly same tires would cost at least $ 60 more. He recommended a more cost effective solution with less time to get me out the door on Christmas Eve.
The place is very clean and the staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I am very thankful for their help and would return if I have any other trouble with the car.
