The tandoori chicken is succulent — always served hot and deliciously seasoned. In a rush, we eat there, and Z-Kabob is clean, but self-service. Counter people are very pleasant. We also enjoy their food as take out so we can eat on our own dishes. Don’t confuse this with fast food — the food prep is mostly made to order and worth the few minutes wait(although the wait is never long). The prices are extremely reasonable for the amount of food they give. Wish the salads were more robust, but that is just my personal preference — I get to splurge on the flaky rice and fresh naan. Definitely a favorite place for our family.

I usually order the number 1. Lentils here are amazing. I get extra sides of that. Spinach and potato are good, sometimes a little to oily. Overall this place has very good food. Fresh Nan bread and lentils= happy me.

Eat at your own risk because this place is absolutely disgusting! I ordered a chicken kabob sandwich and as I was eating a roach crawled out of it. Obviously, this place isn’t sanitary and if I could, I would have rated this establishment no stars. I will be contacting the department of health services in this area.

Strong 3.5 stars — We were heading to World Market and were starving so decided to stop for lunch somewhere close by. Well, we were surprised when we found out the only 3 options across the street were DQ, Subway and Z Kabob. I am not really into eating fast food so we decided to take a chance and go with Z Kabob. The place isn’t much to look at but the food is actually pretty good. The butter chicken is good, the naan is tasty and huge and my husband always likes his kebab sandwich. Sometimes the food is only lukewarm once it comes out and sometimes it takes longer than it should but if you are in the area, give it a go. I wish they were closer, because we would definitely get takeout from there often if we could.

Was the only customer in the building and it took 20 minutes to get my food and the food was sub-par compared to similar places

I’ve been eating here for a few years now and have never had a bad experience. I always order the boneless chicken kabob with chick peas and rice. My food has always been fresh and hot and the service is just fine. I’ve read some of the reviews on here and I do believe most of you are nothing but racial profilers, you analyse a $ 10 meal like a $ 50 steak, get a life and stop expecting every minority to kiss your ass just because you walked through the door.

$ 11 for lunch is a little too much for me, but the portions were pretty big. I got the lamb, rice, and salad dish. The lamb was cooked very tender but lacked the spices. There was really no kick. The husband got a gigantic gyro that looked and tasted delicious as well, but for $ 11 it was a little over price. It was nice that the gyro came in homemade naan instead of a pita bread. Not bad for a lunch selection, but I wish they had some more offers under $ 10.

Only a 4 because it’s so damn busy. Food is great and parking is so so. If you have time and patience or need an after hours place it’s a 5.

Ok, so I lived in this neighborhood not too long ago and would always find my way there after a good workout! Do judge me if you must… lol. Or whenever I was in need of comfort food… and since Jamie Oliver defines comfort food as anything stewy, soupy or fatty this was always my place of comfort food. My go-to is the lamb curry with chick-peas no salad. Their curry is different. I don’t know why, but I just love it. Yep! No salad. Perfect amount level of spice and fat! The naan bread is always fresh and the rice fluffy. I really appreciate their service and consideration when I ask for less oil and rice.

Z Kabob makes a tasty lamb kabob. The lamb was tender and marinated, so it had lots of flavor. Rice was good and chickpeas were spicy, which is appreciated. Naan and salad were the least exciting parts of the meal. I love naan so that was a little sad. I also had a samosa, and it’s actually one of the better ones I’ve had. It is flavorful and crisp. Staff is friendly, the restaurant is clean, and there are plenty tables if you are eating in.

I didn’t have a whole lot of experience with middle eastern food but I wanted to try something new. After looking at the menu and clearly not sure of what to get, the man at the counter walked me through each of the options. A little bit of a wait for what I’d initially think of quick service. But well worth it for the Lamb Kabob. Tasted freshly grilled and came with HUGE sides. Maybe a little too much food but definitely worth the price that, at first, seemed a little high.

Food is generally good. I usual get the boneless chicken kabob. Portions are huge so you definitely get your money’s worth. Dinner comes with huge pita bread, small salad, and rice with a vegetable topping. Try the mango juice — so good! However, the service is really slow so be prepared to wait.

Very delicious but a little pricey. We ordered a kabob combo and the lamb chops combo. Took about 20 minutes to cook-even though I called ahead. But, the flavor and portion size was amazing! You must try the lamb chops!

Ugh. Where to begin? Ok, so I am a huge fan of Kebob Palace, so I am probably a little bias when it comes to my kebob tastes, but this place was just horrible. They have a weird smattering of middle eastern and Indian food and neither are good. I was shopping and hungry so I stopped in for some take out. I ordered the Rewal Kebob Special and the Butter Chicken. The meat was gamey, the bread stale, and the butter chicken was downright horrible. We actually threw most of it away. The sauce tasted like canned tomato soup with a ton of sugar added. The chickpeas were drowning in grease. So disappointed. Need suggestions for good kebobs in the area — help!!!

We stop by this place occasionaly for a quick dinner that is not fast food. We usually get kabobs and have never had an issue with them(chicken and lamb). I love the naan and the yougurt dipping sauce. Very good. When I was there last week I ordered boneless chicken kabob, butter chicken, spinach and rice pudding for dessert. The butter chicken and the spinach were sweeter than the rice pudding. Not good at all and they poured the spinach all over my rice, kind of ruining all my rice(it turned a very unpleasant green color). I really did not like that spinach at all. But, the kabobs were as good as ever and we served with huge portions of naan. Rice pudding was delicious. Not the cleanest or faniciest place in the world, it’s just a little take-away place. But we’ll keep going there. The staff is nice enough and the food is ok.

I’m not a fan of Ravi’s, but I am a fan of Z Kabob! The guy who works there is nice, but a little quiet — he recognizes us because my husband and I frequent this place tons. We always get the lamb chops meal(those lamb chops are seasoned so well — kind of salty, very flavorful, char-grilled to perfection(about a medium), and sooo juicy. They don’t even have a ‘game-y’ or a ‘lamb-y’ flavor, which I like. I love their Butter Chicken — the sauce is amazing, and I dip the bread in it; not too tomato-y, more creamier with cream, and has a good smokey flavor to it. Their chickpeas? I think this place has the best ones. It is always perfectly cooked, and whatever seasonings they use is just out of this world. I can just eat that with the rice all day long. Try this place out — it’s a little hole-in-the-wall, and the prices are comparable to any other kabob places. Parking is kind of a pain, since there aren’t any stop signs and people zoom around the lot; a lot of car/foot traffic. +best chickpeas! +lambchops! +Butter Chicken!
