Gussie Field Watterworth Park

Huge park, such a great outdoor space. Great running and walking trails, great to bring dogs. There is also a stream to fish in as well. Park has bathrooms, covered picnic tables, and an amphitheater area as well. Great for hosting events at, or having a nice day at the park.

I grew up in Farmers Branch and this is a great park located right next to City Hall. The park is beautifully landscaped and there is a huge pavilion with a grill and picnic tables. There is a basketball court, two tennis courts, a big playground, lake/​creek for fishing, restrooms, water fountain, jogging/​walking trail, and a large open grassy area for picnics or playing Frisbee. The Rose Gardens of Farmers Branch is also just steps away from the park.
This park has everything!
The city also has events throughout the year at this park. I take my son to the annual Fishin’ Fun where they stock the lake with catfish and let the kids have at it. The pavilion is also available to rent for private parties (birthday, retirement, reunions, etc.).
With the opening of the Dart Green line you could ride the rail, and the park is just a short walk East of the Farmers Branch station.
This is a great place to take the kids and enjoy some family time!
