I came to know about SFL from a friend when I visited their office on Belt line road. I was planning to go back to India in a year and hence spoke to Umesh to get more details about shipping stuff. I was more interested in knowing if it was feasible in shipping a home entertainment center. He assured me that they always shipped tv’s. Based on my discussion I purchased a TV and home entertainment center. My case was handed over to Punit Manchanda. I shipped my household goods from Dallas texas to Pune India in September 2014. SFL offers packing and shipping services. Two guys came to my place and I keep it short and say that they were not good at what they were doing. I told them that the tv needs to be handled delicately. I was watching them as they left with my goods and they went fast over a speed breaker and the whole van shook vigourously. they stopped for a while and then left. I dont know if they ever transported tv’s before. I called Punit immediately and told him that I was worried that the TV might have been damaged and he assured me that he will check the TV when they reached the warehouse.
I was told that the goods will be delivered to me within 60 – 90 days. I went back to India and waited for my goods to arrive. I was expecting the goods to be delivered to me latest by January. I did not get the goods even as we entered February and I kept following up but I did not get a response from Punit. I had to send multiple follow up emails and many times had to copy Umesh and Saumin. To summarize horrible communication/​updates on the shipment once you hand over the money.
The shipment finally landed on Mumbai port mid february 2015. When I spoke to their agent in Mumbai on why it took so long I was told by their agent that they goods did not ship in time since they did not have enough stuff to fill the container. So apparently the goods probably never shipped in october as informed to me. In the mean time my company was sending me back to US and I spoke to Punit and he said that they can reroute the goods back to Dallas from the port. I paid all the charges and the goods were rerouted in February 15. Again I had to follow up multiple times since I did not hear about the goods even until June. I finally got a call from Anil telling me tha they had my goods in Dallas and he scheduled a time for delivery.
I took a leave from office and waited the whole day but I did not get a call from the delivery guy as advised. I called the driver multiple times since 2 pm and he kept telling me that he was on the way finally at 10PM when I called the driver and he told me that there was some problem with the truck and they need to get it repaired. Again they did not bother telling me until I called. I was told that they will reschedule but I Did not get a call from them for a few days. I called Anil two times both times he commited to call back but I did not hear from him. A few days later I called Anil again and he told me that they did not have enough man power to deliver so I requested him to deliver one box from the goods and I was even ready to pick it up myself. After a few days and multiple calls I could schedule a delivery for the one box from my shipment. Anil came to my apartment and I told him that he could leave the box in the garage since he did not have men to take it to my apartment. Anil suggested that he will unload every thing in my garage and they come back later in the day with a couple of men to move the goods to my apartment. I agreed and then I did not hear from Anil. I just gave up.
A few days later I got an email from Punit requesting feed back on Unilocal and google and I told him that my goods were not delivered yet. He contacted Anil and he eventually showed up at my apartment and moved the goods to my apartment. I was trying to set up my TV after Anil left and I saw that my TV was cracked. I contacted Anil immediately and he mentioned that he would talk to Umesh and get back to me. As expected I did not hear back from any one. I called Anil and then Umesh but no respose except «Some one will call you back». I was finally advised to file a claim on their web site. I got a response from Punit mentioning that they are going to pay $ 52 to me for my broken TV that cost me $ 1800 + shipping + various fees.
I am now stuck with a loss of shipping charges and a broken tv.
I have already lost money I just want to warn you guys so that you don’t loose yours.

Fraud Company. Delivered a package to India in 1 month. Do not risk your goods with them

I had scheduled a move with them a month in advance for Saturday at 8AM. I called the day prior to confirm said move. Saturday 8:20 rolls around, no show. No phone call. I called «headquarters» and they said the truck is running late and will be there by 10AM at the latest. OK. 10:10AM comes, no show. No phone call. I called again. «Sorry, our truck broke down, you’ll have to go with another company for your move».
Never again. Truck breaking down, somewhat excusable. Lack of communication and courtesy isn’t.

UGGGGHHHH!!! I should have researched these reviews before I used this company!!! Needless to say the rating is practically unanimous.
I scheduled our move on April 30, 2015. We had a long journey ahead of us going all the way to Michigan from Texas, so I was glad that I had hired help to load up or truck. I am 5 months pregnant and have 1 year old so I knew I could be of much help to my husband.
The only positive thing is these guys were on time… that’s it!
They were so SLOOOOOWWWW. They completed about half of our small apartment in 2 hours! They told us they could finish the job for $ 99 each additional hour! I didn’t have anything to give them, so they left us to finish the job ourselves. It took us forever!!! Which is why i hired movers in the first place. To make matters worse, when we unloaded all of our things, all of our furniture was scuffed and scratched. I gave the movers blankets and furniture covers to use and they failed to use them!!!
When I contacted customer service about this matter, I didn’t hear anything for at least 2 weeks. I emailed again after 2 weeks and heard back right away from Anna. After explaining the situation and how displeased I was with the level of timeliness and professionalism, she offered me a measly $ 25 back for the trouble.
Don’t waste your time with this company. Chances are you will be left disappointed with crappy furniture…

Oh where to begin. The words «You get what you paid for» have never been so true. Actually I feel that I got less than I paid for.
First off, the movers went to the wrong location to meet me initially so that was rather frustrating. When they showed up they were not friendly at all. Overall the customer service that was given was horrible. I never even knew the 2 guys names because they never actually introduced themselves to me.
Secondly, when they arrived a portion of the roof of the moving truck was missing. I guess prior to my move, they drove into a low entrance to a garage and messed up the truck. This wouldn’t have been a huge issue for me but I happened to be moving on a rainy day. The only thing that they were able to say is that the owner said that if it was an issue, I could move on a different day. This was never presented to me until I actually asked him about the hole in the roof. By then it was too late and I couldn’t reschedule. Fortunately it didn’t rain much during the trip to my new place.
Thirdly, I have never seen two men in their 20’s move so slow! I started helping them move just so we could speed up the process. It was pretty obvious that they were in no hurry and just trying to run out the clock. They only had one dolly and asked me if I had an extra one they could use. It took over 45 minutes just to load the contents of a studio apartment.
Fourth, When we finally arrived at my new place, after they had been moving slow as hell for almost 2 hours, they asked me if I could get them some water or if I had anything to drink. I couldn’t believe this, first of all because this was the first time I had even set foot in the apartment and no I didn’t have a stocked fridge and secondly it’s not my responsibility to keep them hydrated. I had been moving stuff with them and I didn’t need water!
At the end of the service I was paying more than the 2 hours that it should have taken and then I was asked to fill out a Customer Survey for them right in front of them. I obligatorily tipped them but it made me cringe to do so. I will never be using this service again. Don’t buy the Groupon/​Living Social Deal. It’s not worth it!

SFL Worldwide movers is probably the worst and most dishonest company I have ever dealt with. The company is based out of TX but contracted to do work in Charlotte NC. I called and set up and paid for an appointment for 4÷25÷2015 over a month before my move date. Received a email confirmation with the date and time of the move. Window for the move was 8 am — 10 am. 3 days prior to the move I emailed the lady I had set up the appointment with to verify everything was all set for the Saturday move and she emailed back saying everything was all set. On the day of the move — no call no show! I called the company several times but was always transferred to an answering service where no one could do anything but take a message. Finally around 12 pm I get a hold of someone who told me that he would call me back in 15 min. An hour later I get a call back and was told something was wrong with the truck and they were running behind and I would be the next stop. Doesnt make sense since I was the FIRST stop for that day. Hours of calling and calling I finally get another call from someone else who is part of a different moving service who says he will have someone come out around 6 or 7 pm! 7 pm two men show up, no paper work and no proof of who they work for. At this point I have 4 large pieces of furniture that need to be moved because I had already moved everything else myself. They load up the truck while breaking my lamp and scratching my dresser. They unload the truck into my new place, running into walls and are just careless and in a hurry. The entire trip took about 45 min. They tell me that their boss will email me the paper work I asked for and they leave. Two days later I still dont have an email but I do have a charge on my credit card for an extra $ 100 from the moving company! I call once again and ask about the charge on my card. The lady proceeds to tell me that the movers took 3 hours to move my furniture. I explain to her that’s not the case and I never received any documentation from the moving company and I never signed anything from the movers saying that it took that long! I was also never informed of any extra charges nor did I sign anything authorizing a charge! She then sends me a PDF form with SFL logo on it with my signature forged not once but THREE times. I told her that I would dispute the charge with my credit card company and hung up. 10 min later she called back and said she would refund the charge. Which they finally just did minus some six dollar surcharge.
I also had a couch and chair that I asked them to take to the curb since I wasnt going to keep them. They asked to keep the couch and chair along with the extra pillows. Dont mind giving them away but does a reputable company do something like that?
Do not use this moving company! Im not even sure how they are still legally in business! I plan to contact the BBB. I also left a comment on their Facebook which they have deleted.

Beyond horrible customer service.
The movers were scheduled to show up at 4:00pm. When I called them to find out the status of the truck, someone told me to get a UHaul because they were canceling my move (the contract has a clause for 24 hour notice of cancellation). I called the corporate office numerous times, and when I was finally able to reach someone they told me the movers would be a little bit late.
Fast forward to 10:00pm when the movers arrive, talking about how lucky I was to even be getting to move that day. They also talked about how overbooked they were so I’m guessing the corporate office just over books the movers.
My move was finished at 3:00am, and they also charged me for the Groupon I had already paid for. I also had to pay prorated rent for an extra day at my apartment because the next day I was still moving and cleaning (on 0 sleep) after my lease was up. Something tells me it will be a struggle to get my $ 95.00 back.
TL;DR Never use this company. Ever.

Update: After reporting SFL Worldwide LLC to the Better Business Bureau they returned my calls and argued with me that they did not owe me any compensation for not showing up to do their job. They did, however, offer to remove the ADDITIONAL charges they had added to my initial payment. So as of now, I still paid full price for them to not show up until two days after the scheduled time.

Long story short. I scheduled my move for Sunday and they never showed up. But not only did they not show up, they continued to say they would show up within an hour, FOR SIX HOURS. Finally, at 7:00pm they called to say they would not be coming but would reschedule for the next day.
Guess what. No show the next day. I call, oh we will be there in 30 – 45 minutes. 2 hours later its 7:00pm and the story repeats.
Oh yeah, and they require payment in advance.

I have been waiting for the movers since 2pm. It is now 5pm. The office is closed. I have left numerous voicemails and emails to the company. Nobody has bothered to acknowledge any of them. I am beyond frustrated with this company. They were supposed to move items from my uhaul into a one bedroom apartment, mind you I have to turn in the uhaul TOMORROW and it’s still FULL of crap that I can not lift myself. Oh and to top it off, they require a payment in advance. Scam! I wish I would have read these reviews before I ordered their services. NEVER AGAIN.

I had to bring a luggage full of dress for my kids & family from Chennai to Dallas. TX. The service was great & reasonably priced. This is the second time I have used the service in the past year and they are great.

I hardly ever leave reviews, but if I can prevent this from happening to anyone, I will. I hope people can take something away from my situation and find a different company for moving.
I had movers scheduled to arrive between 2 and 4pm. I received a phone call a little before noon to inform me that the movers were delayed due to the weather, and that they would arrive closer to 4pm. The person on the phone also assured me that regardless of the time, the move was going to happen yesterday. I was very understanding and said that this was not a problem at all. At 5pm, I had not heard from my movers, at 6 and 7pm, I had still not heard from the movers either. During this time I called the number provided for the move manager 3 times and left one voice message.
At 7:30pm I get a phone call from someone who said he was «just the driver» to let me know that the move was going to be rescheduled. I let this person know that the guy I who called in the morning assured that the move would happen today. This driver proceeded to say that the movers had been working all day and that they were tired, and he went as far as to ask me to be understanding. As much as I can understand the situation, it is simply unacceptable that nobody bothered to call to reschedule earlier that day. At 7:30pm on a Sunday I do not have many choices to get my move done. After I explained this to the driver, he asked me to wait because he wanted to ask the movers if they still wanted to do complete the move. I asked him not to worry about it, as I don’t want to be moving my things at 10pm on a Sunday, since I have to be at work the next day. I also do not want tired and unwilling movers doing a poor job on a Sunday night.
Earlier this morning, at 8:30am, I called the company directly and left a voice message. Nobody has bothered to call me back to explain how we are supposed to solve this problem.

We engaged SFL Worldwide services two weeks in advance in Houston. Apparently their location is so new they outsource their moving services to a third party. We were told on the day of our move the third party they hired could not be reached, therefore the service could not be completed. The resolutions offered were laughable. They offered to move us the next day (uh, no, why would I trust you again?), and they offered a measly five dollar discount.

Worst worst possible service… don’t even think.

No Gimmicks, No Issues, Everything as promised. No Stair Charge. Final bill was the price they quoted me

I have been using their service since 2008 Deepawali (when they launched in the DFW Deepawali event).
(1) I have done a big move back to India — where I had stuff LTL about 25% of a container — they moved the stuff without any damages or loss. One item was missing which they located and delivered after about a month — which is ok. But what is important is that they delivered the stuff and gave good service
(2) Shipped a lot of stuff from DFW to bangalore — laptops … and always delivered on time, tracked and serviced well

Please keep in mind that if you purchase the Groupon, where it says «valid within 40 miles of 75 234», that they will charge you an extra $ 75 as the round-​trip charge, no matter where you are moving from.
I called to get a quote and was told $ 70/​hour (w/​a 26 ft truck and two movers) + ~$ 15 round-​trip charge for moving within Irving. Pretty reasonable. However, when I mentioned the Groupon, the woman on the phone said that it’s only for long-​distance moves and that there is automatically a $ 75 «round-​trip fee». For me, that means there is really no discount from the regular price. Not cool.
Advice to people who live near Farmer’s Branch: call to confirm the charges before buying the Groupon.

SFL Worldwide did a decent job. I had the move scheduled on 2 days. On the first day they came in almost 4 hrs late due to a broken truck. Although it did screw up my schedule for rest of the day but once the movers Kris & Roy showed up, they will quick as hell. Both of them were very courteous and professional. None of the items were damaged in the move. On the 2^nd day they showed up on time and worked tirelessly to complete the job. They will put the items in place where u want.
Charges were very reasonable. The lady from SFL Worldwide did call up the next business day after the move was done and profusely apologized for the delay in the 1^st move. All said and done, I would recommend them for moving!

HORRRIBLE service! Honestly I cant even say that cause the movers NEVER SHOWED UP! I called and scheduled a day to come out and move on a Sunday and never got a call for cancelation or anything. When I tried calling to see where the movers are, I couldn’t get a hold of anyone or even leave a V.M. cause the company was closed. Totally NOT reliable!
