Mellow Mushroom

Ok. I’m hopping that this is only at the Fayetteville location, but the service here is slow and mediocre. .we order a dessert they never brought silverware. By the time they realize we still at the table, the ice cream was just water! Pizza is good! Service sucks.

Decent pizza reminds me of Cosmos from Denver. Feels healthier than cosmos as in I’m not crazy bloated after eating half a pizza. The place is pretty big and has a good selection of beer.

We went last Saturday and it was a big disappointment. The pizza crust was too chewy and the toppings were sparse. Very little flavor. The service was good as was the appetizer, hence the two stars. Pretty much just a pub with food.

Love this place! The white pizza is unbelievable!!! They also have a full bar I love to sit outside, they have a great patio area! Will be going back for the pizza!!!

Family friendly pizza place! Love sitting on the patio because they have chalk for the kids to entertain them while waiting on the food! Always have friendly staff!

My son LOvES their spinach and artichoke dip! The wait staff is hit or miss here but that is typical of this town. I have never had a bad pizza from mellow mushroom. Just kind of sad that they did away with their beer club.

The shiitake mushroom pizza (especially the sauce) is yummy! The shrimp po boys are a must-​try too! This place gets pretty packed so we usually order to-​go!

Beware. They serve craft beer in bud light glasses. Food wise everything is awesome. Service is great.

Best pizza spot in the area by far. Great service, really clean, good beverage choices. You can get any pizza in a calzone which is awesome! Try the enlightened spinach salad with pesto chicken and herbed vinaigrette. Absolutely amazing!

We love Mellow Mushroom back home so I was excited to find one here. Pizza and hummus were delicious, and the staff was pretty nice. Food came out in a timely manner.

Not usually big on chains but the Mellow has got it going on! The pizzas are artisan in style and you can half/​half flavors which is great. They have a great list of beers. Good stuff.

I stopped here with my son and a couple of extra soldiers for dinner. The spinach dip and pretzels were a crowd pleaser for sure. I had a salad along with a slice of pizza. Extremely good food. The sandwiches looked very appealing too. Our server was great keeping our glasses full and our table clear. I was very happy with the entire experience at this location. We will come back again and again.

I’m all about good appetizers, good drinks and good salads, and I’ve found all three at Mellow Mushroom. I love their drinks, they’re always so good and very potent, so I don’t advise having a drink during the week, especially if you work the next day.
Their Geek salad is delicious and I only get the half because it’s very filling.
Their service can be great, but you know how that goes. I will say that they have great service compared to some of the other places in this area.

Delicious late night takeout! Didn’t have a menu and the girl on the phone recommended these two after I said meat for him and pesto for me. Both good choices! Definitely will return :)

This would have been a 3 star but this rating takes in to consideration that Fayetteville has a very limited selection of quality pie restaurants. We enjoy a half order of pretzels and a large meaty pizza. The waitress was kind enough to split the pretzel order into bites to the benefit of our table. The pizza was very good, service was great, and a very clean restaurant.

damn delicious pizza! i had the meat lovers basically and my friend had the mushroom something with pesto/​herb crust and damn delicious.
i liked my waitress, she was nice and attentive. she did something i never had anyone do for me and i was impressed, she put the DATE on the pizza box so I knew how long ago I had this lol.
great place, price is fair, but it is a bit noisy.

Mellow was an unexpected surprise. I love good pizza and this filled me up. Nice place and tasty pizza. Not totally casual but not just your average pizza joint either.
My date really liked her mushroom soup. (I don’t really like mushroom heavy dishes but it smelled good.) She said her Ruben — mushrooms instead of pastrami — was tasty too. As for me I had a 10″ pie half mellow terranean half vegetable which came out nice and hot, and not too greasy. Lotta selections for meat lovers and an equally delicious array of vegetarian friendly pizzas.
I was very happy to have found this place.

I love this place. The mushroom soup was creamy and tasty. The crazy pizzas were a hit with the group. We tried the Blue Bayou, Gourmet White, and Red Skin Potato Pie. I was in town for the night visiting my son at Fort Bragg, I wish I could visit him and this place more often.
Thanks Mellow Mushroom for giving us some good memories.

Vegetarian friendly– check!
Any pizza joint worth their salt makes good veggie pizzas. This place definitely has a good variety of veggie pizzas on their menu and the ones I’ve tried are all flavorful. Their mushroom pizza is delish! They’ve also got a pizza with tofu! Yummers! They also have awesome salads. If you don’t like what the salads they’ve got on their menu– you can build your own.
Fresh and good quality– check!
Their pizza crust is so fresh, well seasoned, and an awesome texture! Crunchy and crisp on the outside. Soft and chewy on the inside. I don’t always finish the crust of pizzas, but whenever I eat at Mellow Mushroom, I devour the crust. You can taste the freshness in their ingredients. For example, whenever I’ve had salads here, none of the ingredients are wilted or look like they’ve been sitting out for long periods of time.
Good portions– check!
I’ve never left this place with room to spare, that’s for sure!

Even when they’re busy, the waitress came by to check on us and made sure to refill our drinks. As an additional plus, my boyfriend loves their mints. One time, as we were leaving, my boyfriend took a fistful of their mints. Instead of rolling their eyes and giving us a mean look, one of their staff said, «Dude, those mints are good! Go ahead and take more if you want. We got boxes in the back!.» LOL! I totally appreciate that kind of service.
If you are a pizza aficionado and like good quality, fresh, and flavorful pizza, this place is for you!

Never even heard of the place until I moved to Fayetteville — I really like Mellow Mushroom! Some of the pizzas are truly unique and the crust is delicious. I enjoy the ambiance here too. We sat outside tonight on the patio. It was perfect weather. They have a covering (in case the sun is still out) an outside bar and some cornhole.
I really wanted to buy a Mellow Mushroom t-​shirt tonight. Although the selection was very limited, the poor hostess helped me dig thru what they had and helped me find one.
The prices might be on the high side for the food, but the ambiance makes it worth it. Also, there is a Groupon available right now where you can buy a $ 20 voucher (for either $ 12 — weekday/​$ 14 — weekend).
