Yelena is amazing! She was kind, quick and very professional. I will absolutely be going back! The place is clean, adorable, easy to find and has plenty of parking. I was greeted right away and even got into the room a couple minutes early, hands down the best waxing experience I have had yet!

FIRST the place is GORGEOUS. like I accidently walked into a luxury hotel spa. Brand new, just moved in & opened last month, and didnt skimp on the details or fixtures.
SECOND Yelena is very kind personable and greeted me with a bright smile.
THIRD my 90 min vitamin C facial came with more than I expected in between facial masks & treatments: My feet were so cold, she placed a hot towel & gave me a half leg massage. Then scalp massage that put me to a snoring sleep. Then a hot stone hand, arm, and light shoulders massage (perfect after just finishing a shoulder workout).
FOURTH the bed was plush warm & comfortable.
FIFTH Most of all, my skin is tight & glowing that I dont want to hide it behind make up!

Yelena is amazing, that perfect combination of chatty and serene, amiable and business like. She was able to identify why I was having breakouts on certain areas of my face within minutes that no one else had pointed out, and tailored my facial to my specific needs.

Unfortunately my experiences with this establishment hadn’t been exactly glowing. I came to Yelena via Unilocal reviews as most of them were fantastic. The first visit was great. Yelena was very confident, knowledgeable and my skin felt great afterward. I made several appointments to see her again for facials and lash extensions. My second facial experience did not measured up to the first one at all. If anything, it was a let down. Everything was done hastily, sloppily and she left the room for about 20 mins while the products sat on my skin. I like to think that I am a very generous, easily agreeable and a loyal client but if there is anything I dislike, it’s that I was left feeling taken advantage of my demeanors. For all of my visits, I paid full prices for all services, despite seeing Groupon discounts available. As a courtesy, my gratuities are always 25% of the total service price. My expectations are to get what I paid for, be treated like a loyal value clients and the quality of the experience needs to be consistent.
The salon itself is located in the not-​so-​highly desired neighborhood of Federal Way. The building is old, unkempt and not much to look at from the outside. The salon itself is older, tiny and quite dated in design and functions with tiny rooms. I would have been more than happy to overlook all these factors if the service was outstanding.
There are a whole lot of competition out there in the skincare industry and I am no doubt found a place where my business is valued. My experience is a few months old yet it left a sour taste in my mouth. Go support this local business if you must and I hope that your experience would be much better than mine!

I am so glad I decided to give this place a shot! I was a little hesitant due to low number of reviews.
I bought the Unilocal $ 50 for $ 75 deal. I was unsure which facial option to go with so when I called to make an appointment I asked to consult with Yelena first. She examined my skin and asked me few questions regarding my (lack of) skin care routine. She was very knowledgeable and passionate when she was explaining things to me. I ended up going with a customized facial from Yelena. I love how she took the initiative to let me know about the cost. I also received arms and head massage as part of my facial! My skin was nice and smooth after the facial! Yelena also gave me a sample of cleanser to test out. She was not pushy with selling products at all! I will be scheduling another facial with Yelena in a month!

Absolutely fabulous! A few weeks ago, I decided to have some waxing services done and was very impressed with how comfortable they made my experience. So I decided to schedule a facial (which happened today) and I am so happy I did. The oxygen facial is AMAZING! My skin is glowing and I cannot wait to see it in a few days. The salon is very clean and comfortable; Yelena is very knowledgeable and professional. I would definitely recommend Yelena and will absolutely be continuing my facials and waxing services here!

I am new to facials, pampering and such. I have only received microdermabrasion before and I didn’t consider that very pampering since it was more medical based. I have been in the salon industry for more the 20 years as I’m a salon owner and stylist. I have seen Yelena a total of 2 times now and so has my teenage sons. For my first service I booked a micro, but it was so much more then that compared to my previous experience. I also received a peel, hand massage, all these nice smelling creams and I didn’t leave with my skin raw and uncomfortable like I had with my previous experiences. My son had all these small white hard bumps around his eyes. He has had them since he was a small child. He is 16 now and she got most of them out! She did this mask that he wore home for 2 hours and OMG! What a difference. All of his black heads were gone. I will be taking my other soon as he is in sports right now and I will keep them going so it controls there teenage skin. Today I had a 1.5 hour service and wow! I fell asleep for a bit, I wasn’t prepared because I didn’t think facials included foot massage! I needed a pedicure and I should have shaved my legs :/​lol. But I didn’t care, it was wonderful, I also got a arm and hand massage which is great since I’m a stylist and the ache and hurt. My facial was a pomegranate peel smelled like I could eat it. My skin looks so healthy that even the boys commented when I got home today. I think I will be adding this to my regimen. Its a nice treat and your doing your skin good. Yelena is very knowledgeable, straight forward, she knows her stuff.

In one word, Yelena is outstanding!!! Once you go see her for your facials, you will never go to anyone else! My mom recently informed me Yelena had opened Alexis Spa Skincare, my mom has been a client of hers for many years at another spa she worked at and will not go to anyone else but Yelena for her facials and skincare needs.
I was really happy to hear that she was now doing her own thing, because I have been having a lot of problems with my skin since this summer, and I had been bouncing around from place to place trying to find someone/​somewhere that I can actually trust, know for a fact is experienced and knowledgeable in this field, and can really help me with my skin issues, not just sell me some products or tell me what I already know.
Yelena was definitely the person/​place I was looking for… it has only been a month since my first appointment with Yelena and I am already very pleased with the improvement I am seeing in my complexion, and very excited for the progress to come.
She is truly a natural at what she does, and it shows. She is also helping me understand my skin better, and always seems to know exactly what my skin needs because I always leave with my skin feeling and looking better. She is conservative when it comes to me piling on the products, actually she has simplified my skin routine and it’s looking better everyday! I guess sometimes less really can be better than more.
I look forward to my facials now because I know I can relax, since I am certain my skin is being very well taken care of by her. I must mention I really like how consistent and thorough her facials are too!
Alexis Spa Skincare is located inside of Marino Salon in Federal Way and I was shocked that as many times as I have been over that way I have never noticed it, but the inside is huge and super nice, they carry so many great product lines too, like Bare Minerals and Gm Collins which are two of my favorite.
I’m so grateful to have found Yelena, right when I needed her. I’m positive that as long as I live in this area and she is working, I will NOT be using anyone else either.
