Lowe’s Home Improvement

I should have known better. Associates were indifferent, gave contradictory information, and often directed my questions to someone else who could not be found. While looking for four items I would expect to find at a Home Improvement center, two were limited in selection (only one or two options), one was way over priced, and the last not carried at all. Several of their hardware bins were empty or the quantity to low to complete my project. Lowe’s has become my hardware store of last resort.

Horrible service today. Witnessed arguing between co-​workers and a huge unwillingness to help. Just needed a fridge filter. What a disappointment. Guess I’ll go to Amazon.

Another awful trip to this poorly run place of business. Yup sent to the wrong aisle… find it ourselves … We did… Checked out with a very surly clerk… She was pissed off at another employee … No thank you… No pleasure to help you … Just a whole lot of bitching… I truly hate shopping at this miserable store… don’t know how they stay in business …

We often shop at Lowe’s for appliances, hardware and garden supplies. We have been very happy with the service and with the delivery, installation and customer service of the appliance department. We recently bought a dishwasher from Lowe’s. The quality was good and the delivery and installation was handled professionally. Lowe’s called and made sure I was happy with the service. More recently, today in fact, we purchased a washer and dryer. The sales people were very helpful and knowledgeable and delivery was easily arranged. In the last couple of months, we purchased a different washer and dryer set for our cabin from Lowe’s. When the delivery people unpacked the washer they found a dent. They left the washer but arranged for a replacement to be switched out at my convenience.

We recently upgraded all of our appliances. We had upgraded our bedroom furniture and mattress a few years ago and headed downstairs for everything else this year. We purchased a refrigerator, a dishwasher, an oven/​range and an OTR microwave. Karl helped us through the entire process and we were impressed with his help in making it all happen. Coordinating delivery is another thing. The only installation we required was with the dishwasher and Fred was fantastic. All in all our experience was great. The only thing that was disappointing was the fact that Lowes does not carry LG, so our washer/​dryer purchase went to another store.

My husband refers to it as «Low Expectations» and that’s exactly what this store is. Staff is rude and not helpful. Everytime that Home Depot across the street doesn’t have something or is sold out and I end of going to Lowe’s — I regret it. Customer Service is horrific — they always have to find a store manager and then that person takes 30 minutes to show up and then they just tell you no. Twice — the item I needed was on display but there was no back stock and they wouldn’t sell me the floor model (one of the items was discontinued — so why would you need it??). Another time ½ the tiles in a box were broken and they wouldn’t take the broken ones out and charge me for ½ the box (of course, this was the last box) — I had to buy it all — WTF?
