Miro at Dash Point

I have lived here for about 5 months. I am more than thankful that I only signed a short lease. The apartments were recently taken over by Trinity and so far they are more than a disappointment. Three months into living here I got a notice from «new management» regarding a Ten (10) Day notice. The notice was informing me that I was going to be evicted in two days if I did not provide them proof of renters insurance. It also stated that they had issued me a 10 day comply or vacate notice a week prior but this letter was the very first I had heard of it. As far as I knew I was in compliance because I had signed up for renters insurance when I moved in through the apartments!!! It is absurd for anyone to think that a resident would knowingly risk eviction over rental insurance… I pay almost $ 1600 a month in rent for a very sub-​par 3 bedroom apartment. You really think I am going to risk eviction over $ 13 a month in rental insurance. I was so livid that this company did not have more tact in dealing with this issue. I never got a notice that said «hey by the way since we are the new management company you need to redo your rental insurance», or even «We need this info from you asap». The very first message I received from this «new management» was threatening and unprofessional. I truly can’t believe this is how a company communicates with its customers. Did they forget residents are customers? It is appalling that they have no sense of respect for their residents.
In addition to the unfounded and unprofessional threat of eviction, they recently changed their parking policy. I found this out 6÷4÷2016 when my vehicle was towed. It cost me $ 400 to get my vehicle out of impound. Apparently, 6÷1÷2016 the new policy went into effect without informing all residence of this change. All residents and visitors must have a permit to park here or they risk being towed, even if they are in their own assigned spot.
When I approached staff about this I was basically told that I must have gotten a notice about this and that they would have given me three notices. The staff member essentially called me a liar to my face. She insisted that I had received the notice. I DID NOT GET THIS NOTICE and was talked to as if I were a child. I am a responsible adult. I pay my bills on time. If I knew that my vehicle was at risk of being towed don’t you think that I would have just got the stupid permit? The tactics of this management just don’t make any sense to me.
I have such a hard time believing that a company can be successful with such utter disregard for their client base. Their customers pay them, it is the source of their revenue, yet residents/​customers are treated with disrespect and spite. Trinity needs to hire true professionals along with business consultants to guide management on how they should be treating the people who make their jobs possible.
Dear Trinity: I will finish my lease. I will not renew. Residents are not treated as valued customers. They are spoken down to. Have you forgotten that we have a choice? Have you forgotten that your job is to make us want to stay? Your policies should benefit your residents and make them proud to call this home. Policies should not divide and anger your customers. I get it you can’t make everyone happy but I can tell you, your current strategies are not working. I am a good tenant. I pay my bills on time. I don’t make a giant mess, I take care of the home. I am courteous to my neighbors. I am also very upset and dissatisfied with my experience with your newly acquired property and have no desire to stay. I would advise anyone that is considering renting here to rethink their choice if they care about how business representatives treat them. This community has potential but if caring professional and responsive leadership doesn’t intervene good tenants won’t want to stay.

With a heavy heart this new company is making it so a 8 year long tenant leaves. I have never came across such rude and disrespectful office staff. There has been problem after problem and when I tried to show them that they messed up it lead to me being told «were not going that route» a screw covering up a problem and my front door belong slammed so hard it broke a picture frame off the wall. Also provided proof of over billing on water, sewer and was told nothing can be done. Each time I ask a question I get an I don’t know answer (anyone would be upset). This was an easy fix if accountability was taken and it wasn’t and still isn’t. Please spend your money elsewhere. 2 days into a lease with trinity is worse than the 6 other companies I have had own the property never once did I ever have to give a bad review (there’s issues everywhere you live this is just to much)

I moved into the Miro just days before it underwent new management (it was originally The Landing at Dashpoint). I was excited about the news of new management, hoping it would mean new improvements, better amenities and great customer service. You know new management is always interested in making their customers happy and is constantly putting their best foot forward. Not in this case.
Two weeks later I received a «Pay or vacate» notice saying I had not paid my rent. I went to the office to see what happened only to find that they had no record of my $ 1700 move in payment, and that I had to provide proof that it was paid (because you know, it was my fault they lost it). Luckily I saved my money order receipt.
About a month later I tried to get Centurylink internet installed in my apartment and found out, after a week of struggling, that none of the phone jacks in my apartment were active. I asked the management team to look into fixing them, or installing a new one, and was told I would get a call the following Monday. Over a month later and no call.
Just the other day I find a notice half-​tucked under the doormat on the doorstep of my neighbor’s unit. They moved out a week ago, so I decided to take a look at the notice to see what it was. Once I opened it, I saw that it was actually a notice for me. Not only that, it was apparently a second notice (the first one of which I did not get). The notice said that I will be evicted in one day if I cannot provide proof of renter’s insurance. I thought that was weird, because I specifically brought my renters insurance into the office twice, and then faxed a third copy with updated info.
I have lived here for about 11 weeks, and am sadly counting down the days until my lease is up. This is not what I expected from an apartment complex, from a leasing team, from a manager.
