WORSTPLACEEVER. Got a haircut from them, asked them to keep the length and just trim the dead ends and add a little more layers. Also asked for the«V» cut. The lady ignored what I said and cut off at least 4 inches, did not cut it in the V shaped I asked for. Now my hair is above my shoulders. Called them to get my money back and they are so cheap they couldn’t even do that. Never going there again. Doesn’t even deserve a one star.

This salon doesn’t even deserve a one star. I had a pedicure done here which the lady did a terrible job. She cut my nails crooked, cut it too short so now I have in-grown toe nails on both feet. Did a sloppy job with the nail polish as well n didn’t clean up the edges. My feet has been hurting and swollen for almost 3 weeks now. I’m afraid their poor pedicure service has left me with an infection now. Avoid this place at all cost!!! They don’t know what their doing.

Took my daughter so we could get mani pedis. Do not get them done here! I had a shellac mani before and they took the old polish off after soaking in acetone with a drill not orange sticks. My nails are so damaged now I am afraid to have anyone work on them. My daughters shellac mani came off in 4 days. Our pedicures would have been fine until we had the design added which looked like it had been done by a 5 year old. Sorry I just can’t say anything good about this place. We went here instead of our usual place because it was open late and we were going out of town. Never again was not worth the $ 105 total paid.

the staff is nice hair cuts are okay when they get busy they get rude and dont know how to organize time and customers, the nail service is okay also, my nails grow naturally and the one lady refused to cut my natural nails saying they were long and beautiful yes, okay but I clean houses and they break and get groce so id rather have them fake and painted she didnt care/listen another girl cut them and the lady came back and continued, they make u go from one salon to the other depending which store is busy and which ones not wouldnt be so bad if they werent on opposite sides of the mall, when your not in the mood to walk back a forth multiple times they added a kohls so not sure where it is now but still asking customers to walk back an forth is dumb. its okay if they aren’t busy and your in the area.

The staff at Avida needs a lesson in professionalism. There’s NO sign in roster and NO front desk personnel to organize appointments. Nor is there anyone there ethical enough to keep the incoming customers served in the order in which they arrive. This above all is A MAJORPROBLEM to which I doubt Avida will ever remedy. Now for the shop… It is a complete teardown. The seats were uncomfortable and stained. The magazines were tattered and sticky. There’s a water fountain with gum and other debris floating near the bottom. The entire shop is a throw back from the 80’s and everything was dirty and dusty with who knows what’s going on in the back rooms but if the front is any indication of how Avida maintains their equipment and treats their guests, then I most definitely will NEVER have their combs or scissors touch my hair. Mall salon… Gets you in very quickly and out very quickly. It’s reasonable, sign says $ 14.95 and up for haircuts, mine was $ 20. I agree with a previous review where the customer was suspicious of the person doing her nails not being licensed. I was also looking for a license posted on the wall of the girl who was cutting my hair and I couldn’t find any. I wasn’t expecting much, I was actually here for a pedicure, but didnt want to bother taking off my shoes and socks. And figured I could just trim my hair instead while I wait for my friend to get a pedicure. They finished trimming my hair in probably less than 10 minutes.

Went here a couple of times to get my hair done. I usually get shampoo hot oil treatment with trim and style. Which is $ 80.00 they do a great job but the downside is how they act like they don’t want to do it and told me I should shave my hair. First off I’m paying to get the service done if u don’t like ur job than do something else and second that’s not how you treat a paying customer so plain rude don’t even waste ur time or money goin here

I just visited Salon Avida today to have my eyebrows and lip waxed. The woman who provided me with this service did an EXCELLENT job and I feel and look wonderful! They even answered my questions regarding a style and color I’d like later on down the road. Very polite, clean, efficient staff. This place was recommended by my mother who also gets her face waxed as well as regular cuts/styles when she can afford it. They are a little cheaper than Regis(I go used to go there as well) with regards to hair styling.

Okay I came here in a couple times to get my hair did, which turn out great. I did a all over foil with blonde streaks. I had a pedicure done before which turn out okay, it just seem like its not sanitary. Luckily I didn’t get any fungus what so ever. You just never know, maybe I’m just paranoid. I’m CLEAN freak, I’m not crazy to the point where I need a psychiatrist lol. Any-who a couple weeks ago I came here to get underarm wax. It was a really bad experience for me. Instead of me just laying there being relax, I had to moved up and down. when she could of move from one arm to another. The room was so clutter the lady couldn’t even move around much. The room was small it wasn’t relaxing, pretty much it was uncomfortable. Oh wells I’ll get over it. The waxing begins she waxes my arm. Towards the end there were tiny hairs that needed to be tweezed. while I was laying there she couldn’t find the tweezers. Five minutes passes by so she ends up covering my hair with baby powder. Not realizing I notice she did that, I directly told her of course, and she end up waxing it off. It caused my skin to be more irritated. I don’t think she even knew what she was doing. It felt like she was just«Winging It». All I know is that I am never coming here again for waxing purposes!

I am bothered by Salon Avida. Although I do like the ladies who work in there and I have frequented the salon many times over the last year, my most recent visit bothers me. The girl who sat down to do my pedicure looked quite young and I had never seen her in the shop before. I asked her some questions about how long she had been doing nails and where she went to school. She barely spoke english but from what I understood she was currently still in school! Hello, so illegal to have students working on clients. When I mentioned it to one of the ladies and requested a licensed technician complete my pedicure, they started barking stuff in Vietnamese and another girl came to finish. Before that I asked one of the ladies if the girl was licensed and she said yes. So she flat out lied and I feel it is very underhanded to charge me for a full priced pedicure with the expectation that a licensed professional is servicing me. At that time I started looking in the water and noticed hairs floating in it. I was just completely turned off at this point and got up from the chair and left. This experience prompted me to do some research after which I discovered there is alot of human trafficking which occurs in the nail service industry. Many of the women working in nail shops are not licensed and it is well known. Many of these women are sold to nail shop owners and must repay the debt by working for little to no pay for two years or more. They are often found to have the nail shop address as there home address meaning they are living and working out of the shop. Now, I am not saying this is the case with all asian nail shops but it is a growing problem and carries little to no risk because many states lack the resources to police these activities.

Excellent service! Everyone in our family is happy with the service that we have been provided at this hair salon. My wife, 3 daughters, my son and I. They even painted my 5 year old daughters nails for free while I was getting my hair cut.
