Recognizing that each client is unique, with his or her own special circumstances and needs, Maria designs a program of education on an individual basis. A Comprehensive Health Assessment and a dietary/lifestyle appraisal are a part of her protocol.

Maria

Attended the Nutrition Consultant program in Santa Cruz, graduating in 2009. The Bauman College curriculum let her leverage her background in whole foods cooking into a new career as a Nutrition Consultant in private practice.

Before attending Bauman College, Maria had worked as a professional vegetarian chef and a caterer for many years. For 13 years, she worked at the University of California, Santa Cruz as a chef in the state-funded food program of the University’s childcare center. Always interested in nutrition, Maria began studying at Bauman College in an effort to deal with her ill health. Her studies led to her realization that she had undiagnosed Irritable Bowel Syndrome, something that her medical doctor had overlooked. Maria changed to a gluten-free diet which resulted in her return to health.
