Dano’s Pizzeria and Restaurant gives you more delicious pizza for your money. We use only the finest ingredients in our pizza, hot and cold subs, calzones, salads, and dinners. We are conveniently located just outside Ft. Drum in Felts Mills, NY. Our entire pizza selection and family friendly menu is available for dining in our restaurant or pick-​up and delivery to Ft. Drum, Black River, Felts Mills, Great Bend, Calcium, Deferiet, Evans Mills and parts of Watertown, NY. To make things even easier, call us with your order now.

History

Established in 1998.

Dano’s Pizzeria and Restaurant was started from an idea that the existing pizzerias around the Fort Drum area could be improved. A college project paper was turned into a business plan. The public’s opinion that «It» wouldn’t last a year and a dare that they said we couldn’t do it was the fuel that burned to make it start.

A one acre lot was purchased in 1997 that was just a field. A driveway, a parking lot, a well, a septic system and all the utilities were added. Charlie (A friend of Dan’s), Dan and friends erected a 24′ by 40′ building (which is now the kitchen). Pick-​up and delivery are all that was offered at the opening on March 20, 1998.

The recipes were formulated from customers. A week before opening up, Dan and Charlie put a sign on Rte. #3 for «Free Pizza». The distributor were asked for the three best cheeses and the three best sauces. Different pizzas were made by mixing and matching the different ingredients.
