Brightlight Books

First time here and could’ve spent hours exploring each shelf! Amazing selection and incredibly organized! I think I found my new favorite bookstore in/​near Orlando!

I love this place! They have a fantastic selection on books to choose from which for someone like me that has a wide variety of tastes is a huge plus. They also carry a ton of graphic novels, manga and comic trades in addition to their other books. They also have a trade in system where you can bring in your unwanted books/​movies/​CDs for cash or store credit.

Brightlight is one of (if not the) best used bookstores in Central Florida. While it looks a bit small, there are plenty of options once inside. The sale rack outside looks appealing and holds all the books that people brought to sell but weren’t able to. It’s worth a look if for no other reason than to laugh.
Only the right door opens, don’t try to yank the left side or you’ll look like a goober and potentially break something. Once inside, you’ll find movies and CDs to your right, the cash register straight ahead, and plenty of books.
Fiction hangs out in the front of the store on the left, organized by the author’s last name. As you move further into the space, you’ll find more of the ‘nonfiction’ books organized by subject matter. The wine/​food/​alcohol/​good things, travel, psychology, nutrition, and spiritual sections are where I tend to browse the most, but there’s plenty there to explore. There’s a separate space for comic books in the back towards the left, and a YA and children’s section in the middle-​right of the store.
I come here to sell books (head to the tables on the right near the checkout register). They give you the option of cash or store credit, the store credit being the better option. I haven’t noticed too much rhyme or reason to what’s chosen beyond super obscure or popular titles being passed over. I’m always curious as to what magical program they use to decide what is worth buying, but that’s just my curiosity.
Overall, a solid choice of a bookstore and worth a visit. Try bringing your books to sell for store credit as you never know what you may end up walking out with.

This is my absolute favorite used bookstore! Whatever title I am looking for, whether it be a book or DVD, I always check their website first to see if they have it. Why pay retail when I can usually find it here for less and in great shape? I have saved a ton of money on books and DVD’s using this store. I can also bring in any of my own that I no longer need or want and receive store credit (as long as they can use them). My kids love visiting and it is a very rare occasion that we leave without buying at least one book each or a movie to add to our collection.

All I can say is, they have a great selection of Classical and classic Country CDs! Trade-​in is also a «plus».

Wow, this is a solid, well-​organized little bookstore. They have a great selection of books with many older titles you can’t find in your typical Barnes and Noble (lots of great history books and graphic novels). They also offer very fair rates for store credit.

Used bookstores are hard to come by in the town and being from Austin I got spoiled by Half Price Books, that being said this place is awesome for its size. Lots of options and the staff was cool. I found some Tom Robbins books that really made my day. Would go more if it wasn’t so far from where I live in Orlando

I am a big fan of Brightlight Books. I have purchased several books and discs there and it’s always a great joint to browse.
Their disc selection is top notch, lots of pop and rock acts, and a lot of rare and out of print stuff. They also have several Blurays and out of print DVD’s.
Recently I was made aware of their clearance sales held at their warehouse, and it was awesome, tons of comics for $ 1, books less than $ 3, and discs for $ 1. Found some hard to find items too.
I recommend Brightlight Books. My only gripe is the area that it is in, there are weirdoes and other unsavory looking characters from time to time outside the place so I only go when it is light out, you know when it is «bright light» outside lol.

Brightlight is always well stocked and the staff are very friendly. If you’re looking for something specific, they’re more than willing to help you find it. They have sales often on their overstock items so you can walk out with a lot of books for just a few bucks.
You can also bring them any books you’re looking to sell. They can’t take everything but they’ll give you a good price on what they can take.

This is a great used book store full of used books in great condition, dvds, audio books and more. This place is full of nerds so you know this place is LEGIT!!! I went to orders some good self help books that I read in some articles and they were pretty pricey with shipping off amazon and ebay. I saw a buddy of mine reading a book I was going to order and her recommended this place. I went on their website and saw they had my books in stock they also shipped as well but I rather go in and pluck them out my self. Didn’t take me to long to find my books I needed since the place was well organized and categorized. Great place! I saved about half the price and most of these books look just about new!!!

Holy selection!!! Stopped in for my first time just now and couldn’t make it past the first shelf without more than I could carry. This is by far my new favorite used book store. I will probably be back tomorrow for more.

This used bookstore is a solid, reasonable place to get used books.
Their collection of just about every genre, including literature, biography, comic books, history, et cetera) is extensive enough to make browsing fun. The staff is especially friendly and helpful. The décor is tasteful.
This is not a dungeon with mildewed carpets with a pyramid of romance novels. Brightlights is a wonderful place to shop.

This local used bookstore in a shopping center in Casselberry has been feeding my husband’s comic book addiction for a few years now. I occasionally pop my head in for travel or cooking books and find the store to be very organized. It’s also a pleasant place to visit with friendly staff. The prices are reasonable and even they have a nearby discount store that has cheaper books. They will give you trade credit for books or movies as well, which keeps us coming back.

I am a complete bibliomaniac so I can’t help but go into every bookstore I see. This is one of the best used bookstore I have ever been in and that’s due mainly to the selection. It does not look very big from the outside but the space is deceptively deep and with shelves that go almost to the very high ceiling. They have tons of categories– not just fiction genres and history but also philosophy, art, music, language, a huge religion and Christianity section and my favorite, books about books. They also have smaller selections of new and antique books and cds and dvds. Things are actually organized and alphabetized so if you are looking for something specific you can easily check for it. I live in Boston which is full of new and used bookstores but I always stop in here when visiting family in Orlando several time a year because I always find something new and interesting.

This is a well-​organized and managed store with a large selection. They had culled out modern and contemporary firsts and other collectible titles and put them in a separate section, which was fun to look through. I will go back in the future, for sure.

I just moved to Florida from California and I was excited to find a new used book store as I loved the one I had back home. I looked all over online and saw that this one had a lot of awesome reviews. Better yet, they had a website, which most used book stores don’t! It’s only about 5 minutes away so I decided to give it a shot.
I moved in with my boyfriend when I moved here and there were a few books that we both had copies of, so I took my copies of them in to sell to them, expecting to get only a couple bucks. I had the option of 22 dollars in store credit or 11 dollars in cash. I chose store credit and looked around for about 15 minutes before buying 3 new books with my store credit (and I have some to spare).
Everything is extremely organized and the website is also really useful, organized, and easy to use! The books are all priced excellently. I love the idea of being able to use store credit through the website, and that if I’m looking for a particular book, I can check their website first to see if they have one in stock before going into the store. Also, the website tells what section of the store the book is in so that makes it a lot easier to find if you’re unsure of the genre. The people in the store were really friendly when I came in and willing to help!
I loved my book store at home, but this one is 10x better. Highly recommended!

Without a doubt the best used book store in Central Florida.
The store has a solid used DVD/​Blu-​Ray, and CD sections as well. The big strengths of the store are its theological sections, Christian book sections, and children’s book section. The staff are friendly and helpful. The store is clean and well-​organized. Pricing is very reasonable for a used bookstore. Trade-​in value is quite fair on used books, cds, and DVDs.

My favorite little bookstore ever! Huge selection, great prices. Everything is clean and organized. Most sections are alphabetized (I think the clearance in the back is the only section that isn’t) They give you a great price on your trade-in’s too. They have a great selection of fantasy paperbacks for only $ 4 each and a large young adult section.
Every few months they have a huge book sale where nothing costs over $ 3. Just to give you an example, I went this week to one and got 2 hardcover cookbooks, a spiral-​bound bartending guide that was practically new, and 7 older fantasy paperbacks for $ 12.
Great bookstore. I can’t say enough good about it.

I spent weeks looking for unbiased books on evolution vs creation, while having no success at the major book retailers, I found an entire room dedicated to science and creation at brightlight books. They have by far the most incredible and organized collection of used and new books I have ever seen. Being an avid book reader who has tried many stores, (usually found unorganized and dirty) this place was very refreshing. As for the price, the books I chose on my first visit would have totaled at least $ 40 new. I found them for less than $ 20. I was then told at the counter about the discounts based on how long the books spent on the shelf and that I would only be paying $ 7 for the three books. The staff is very nice and very informative. I will be spending a lot of time at Brightlight books.
Wish there were more of them.

This is a small family owned business in Casselberry located right across from 7 – 11. The place has different types of used books for sale and they also buy used books, even though there selection is nothing like of an actual book store it Is still a good place to get some used books for a cheap price.
I only gave it four stars because of the options to the books that are available here and even though they are used and this is nothing like a typical library or Book A Million, Barnes and Nobles it is still decent to find what you cant find in those major book stores.
This location is not really hidden like some people post on here, it is right next to Pay-​less in the same plaza with Deal$ and Aldi right across from 7 – 11 on 436 and it is easily visible from the street’s)
