Pioneer Crossing

Still a great place however the staff could use some adjustments. Came back for BINGO and slotting as per usual. Many of my favorites in terms of the staff have since gone on to hopefully better things and in their place is less enthusiastic to be there, or so it seems.
Case in point, when playing BINGO they call out the letter/​numbers overhead however this last time the microphone would cut out or the caller would get distracted (SQUIRREL!). I especially was perturbed when she called out numbers then silence, it wasn’t until she spoke again that she said that they had a winner of the special game, four corners, or something like that for free game play. I even conferred with my parents and they agreed she didn’t announce that someone yelled BINGO prior, she just stopped while I am sure the whole place waited with baited breath.
In any case, I’ll still come back because I kinda call it home in a non-​Gamblers Anonymous kind of way.

Pioneer Crossing’s Restaurant — Chuck’s Wagon
First time i walked into the restaurant I could see a lack of interests in the experience that is for a customer. As the waitress walked up she just seemed like she was not wanting to be there but she was nice and welcomed my family and i to the restaurant.
I gave them a one star for a few reason’s, first off when when receiving our order there was a weird look to the food. I ordered a Chimachanga with rice and beans. The Rice was so hard, as if it was a few days old, the beans were cold and no flavor, and the chimachanga was nothing but pork in it, when it offered to come with more then that in it. Now when expressing my opinion on the food the waitress, did question me but did not tell me different she did offer to make us something else, or even a piece of pie but I told her that i would just finish the chimachanga and i would pay for the other meals. when she brought us the check, there was a 10% discount on two out of the three meals due to the wrongful of the meal. Would i come back to Pioneer Crossing maybe one day but not in the near future.

Do you know those places where the service is great, the food is great and the atmosphere is so special? This isn’t one of those places. The «Prime rib» buffet was a sorry experience. The baked potatoes were barely warm. The corn on the cob had been ruined by the long soak in warm water. I didn’t even want to attempt the mashed potatoes and/​or gravey. They were even cheap with the fatty prime rib. I rated the place «one star» because there was a door that one could close as one left.

This place is going down the tubes, lousy service high prices on meals this place has one more shot with me and then I’m done. I am pretty easy going but this place is really really getting nasty. The service has always been lousy, what the price of the meal made it worth the trip now prices have went up the quality of the staff here is very very very lacking

Melissa, our server is fun. Great way to start. Food is good but the ambiance of the place is a little dated. However anyone that can keep up with the wicked wit of my husband deserves all the stars I have to offer.

This is a mixed review for Pioneer Crossings but overall I am very satisfied with them.
The restaurant breakfast food quality and preparation is very poor and the management is apathetic if you complain. They can not cook a fried egg over medium with the whites done. OK. So much for the bad. The good is if you eat in the bar area and are lucky enough to have Dana as your server she is personable and highly efficient. She is a top notch professional.

The Gold pan special was not great to be nice. I keep trying thinking they will figure it out. I can make better breakfast that is cooked right. Every time our eggs our runny and raw and our requested crispy bacon is flimsy. If you can do it just say so. Pancakes should not be so tough on the outside. We have learned our lesson.

The crew and I were in Fernley Nevada again and had Breakfast at the Pioneer Crossing Chuck wagon café. The food and service were not quite what they used to be as our waitress seamed to ignore us and the food ½ of the guys got their food brought right out but the other halves sat up in the window for about 5 minutes getting cold. My Sandwich a super melt had burnt toast and was missing the green chilies as well as the fries not being cooked all the way and cold and greasy. I hope this is just a 1 time problem as it is one of my favorite places to eat in Fernley.

The service is good and the food tastes good and i always get the Gold pan special without eggs i dont like eggs. It is awesome though

Foods good. The $ 2.99 salad bar is great for the price. Same with the gold pan breakfast special. Good beer at restaurant $ 2. Best selection of beer on tap in town. There are t.v.‘s everywhere. Love watching sports at the bar. Staff is very friendly. Good slots. My favorite casino in fernley for sure.

The food may be good but, for the horrible cigarette smoke it was horrible. I know, it is Nevada — but come on people get with the times! Had the prime rib buffet on a Friday night, it might of been good, but after a few bites I had to leave. Too much smoke in the restaurant area. I won’t go back.

As far as the dinners go, it is casino food. Went to the prime rib buffet, I dunno I would imagine that the prime rib could be a bit more cooked. They slice it open and it looks like the cow is still screaming. But people like it that way I guess so I always go for the end piece, seems a bit more medium. I always enjoy the casino, the staff is sure friendly and knows exactly what I like to drink. The three stars is for the restaurant, but the casino is five stars. So taking the sum of the average here.

I go there… OFTEN! Great [place, too! Their food is really outstanding considering their prices are reflective of that… meaning great value for what you get. I go there alone (more often on Thursdays when they had the «All you can eat Tacos»…) and my wife and my in-​laws are there very often!!! We all LPOVE the $ 2.22 GOLD PAN SPECIAL! Additionally, the staff are very nice, the Bloody Mary’s are «bloody good» and I like the small atmosphere… love that place!!! They continue to run really cool food specials. Definitely worth the stop!

this review is for their restaurant. it’s the best cheap breakfast in fernley. it’s $ 2.99 all the time. eggs, hash browns, bacon or sausage, toast & pancakes. i’m not a fan of pancakes, but theirs are pretty tasty. they also have excellent biscuits and gravy. big portions and excellent service. they also have all you can eat taco and buffet nights. haven’t tried those. but the food i have bought is consistently excellent. a definite dessert to try is the bread pudding with their own whiskey sauce. it’s $ 2.99 but it’s huge. the sauce is really tasty too. check em out!!!

One thing that you should know about me is that I love small casinos.
Another thing that you should know is that Pioneer Crossing is a must-​stop for small casino fun. Sure, it’s no MGM Grand, but hey, the staff is friendly, the drinks are tasty, and the slots are generous. If you are en route to/​from Fallon/​Reno or beyond, you must stop for some good ol’ Nevada fun.

This is also my favorite place to waste cash. I seem to have the best luck here out of all the Casinos and I enjoy their Bingo on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Slots are decent, they could use more penny slots.
Restaurant is OK. I have eaten here a couple of times and would come back.
