Sunset RV

Just want to give a big shout out to Chris West (my salesman) in FIfe and Mark (Mr Exotic car lover) in Fife (who keeps the salesmen in line and has the final say :), the financial gal who worked till 10pm to knock out our deal even after enduring a tooth/​dental issue all day, Jeff up in the Buckley location who has endured my endless detail needs for over a month, Benny the service technician who gave us a 3 hour walk though just prior to picking up the RV and to the gals who also work the desks in the parts department. Thank you thank you thank you for all the hard work and follow through with each and every item from issues noticed during the test drive, to issues endured though our first road trip to Mount Saint Helens. We love the larger then life 36′ Fleetwood triple slide out more then we could have imaged. We just can’t help but sit in it and grin and think… how cool is this. We are now officially ‘Glamping” in style…

Pulled in walked around lot… Not a soul to help. Although not uncommon for rv dealers — this time we happen to be the only customers there.

We had nothing but great experiences dealing with sunset rv. We told them what we were looking for and Chris Coley showed us lots of options and found us one that we LOVED ! We bought a 2015 36′
Thor Palazzo, and they were very fair on the pricing.
Our after purchase the follow up was excellent too. There were a few things on the coach that needed to be tweaked and they were so helpful and fixed each and every little thing (my husband is very picky!!) :-)

At first I was skeptical in buying from Sunset but after the experience was over, I was happy we did! Excellent service, very helpful, and Crystal was awesome! I would definitely buy another RV from them and recommend them to anyone. When I picked up my RV from their maintenance facility in Buckley, I was surprised by the charming and happy nature of the representative behind the counter and the walk through, although they missed a couple items (no biggie though as they fixed them), they were awesome. The maintenance crew were friendly and knowledgeable. Thanks for the new Toy Hauler!

Horrible service. We are seriously looking for a Toy Hauler and these guys were so horrible at customer service I would never buy anything from them. Imagine if something went wrong and you needed help. Bypass.

Although our initial experience was great. we’ve had nothing but trouble working with the service department. When we first looked at the RV the slide out wouldn’t slide out because the battery was bad.
We were told a brand new battery was being put in the RV when we purchased it. Now 9 months later when the battery has a bad cell we are told it is not covered under warranty because suprise. surprise it is not a new battery. Guess we should have got that in writing.
We also had a water leak within a week of purchase. No big deal, covered under warranty but it’s taken forever to get the repairs done. We dropped it off for 3 weeks and were told it was ready only to try and pick it up today and realized that all of the repairs still are not done.
When you spend this much money on a purchase you expect the warranty repairs would be friendly, efficient, and prompt. If you’re expecting that, I’d advise a different dealer.

Run away from this dealer! Our rv was released to us with no headlights! Found out the first time we drove after dark. They were deceitful, people to work with! Now they are telling us the warranty does not cover this issue! What? Oh and how about them calling us 6 weeks after our our purchase to tell us we owed more money. Oops… terrible terrible dealer. Sunset RV embodies every negative stereotype of a used car dealership. This is especially disappointing given the sparkling reputation of their parent company, Sunset Chevrolet.
Our experience started out painless enough, but the further we got into the process, the lack of customer service, communication, transparency, and professionalism became increasingly evident. In the end, we didn’t make a purchase. Had I checked with the BBB prior to starting the process (They are rated an «F»), I likely would have avoided them altogether. I won’t make that mistake again.

If you find an RV you like and put a deposit on it, this means nothing.
My parents found an RV they liked. Talked with the salesman. Was told to go get their trade. When they got home, the salesman called them up and said there was someone else interested in that RV, however if they put down a deposit over the phone it would lock the sale to them.
I helped load up the trailer they were using as a trade & we all went to back down to the lot. The salesman waved us in and told us where to park the trade. Then we went inside to talk to salesman. He came out with the keys to allow us to take it for a test drive which we did. When we got back, we were told it was sold to the other people even though my parents were told the deposit would hold it for them. Then the salesman tried to sell them something more expensive and bigger than what they wanted.
Avoid this place if you don’t like being screwed out of something you really want!!!
They ended up going to Paul Evert’s down the street and got exactly what they wanted.
