Ay! Chihuahua

Good place in a weird location. You will miss them if you arent looking. The tacos are good and the salsas are made fresh but it is really all about the beans!
Its a good place for simple food.

Food is Delicious & Service is even better! Its a small little place in my town, but the food definitely won’t disappoint!

What can I say the go to spot for Menudo since I was a kid! Only difference is now I have to go get it. You can rest assure their menudo flavor is consistent they never fail, same goes for the rest of their menu, a definite hit! Love this place

This place has its ups and downs.
4.5 stars for food: Really really good bean and cheese burritos. I always want to get guacamole in it (which is on the menu) but they never seem to have it made, no matter what time I go in there. But they will put Avocado in it which is just as good.
3 stars for customer service: usually it has really rude girls running the front, one which rolled her eyes at my brother when he asked if they use lard in their beans (he asks because he is vegan). She sounded super annoyed and it took her a while to go even check if they used lard (which they do). Every once in a while you will get someone friendly working the front. I would definetly go here more often if they where friendly all the time but that isn’t the case so I only go here when I’m craving their burrito.

Poor service everyone has a bad attitude about their job and it shows in the food. i have ordered with no one in the place and waited 15 minutes for the order and it was wrong. Do your self a favor and don’t waste your time

GREAT burritos and STOOPID hot salsa! Oh yeah! The tacos look great… as does everything else… but…I always get one of their burritos. Got carnitas this time around. Good stuff! The asada is also good. THIS is great place to stop! Did I mention the stoopid hot salsa? Yowza! :-)

One of if not the best mexican style breakfast burritos Ive ever had. i got the chorizo with potato added. Delicious salsas as well.

While on our road trip we were craving tacos and a friend recommended this place right off the 126. It’s so convenient since you are literally still on the road. It’s a little hole on the wall but don’t judge it by the outside! The staff was friendly, the food was freshly prepared and served quickly. The asada tacos were very delicious, the meat was very tender and they are good portioned size tacos. They are a bit pricey but worth it. If you love spicy salsa you will love their salsa bar, thankfully they do have a mild salsa too for those of us that can’t handle the very hot spicy kind. We also ordered the wet burritos which were good as well. Will definitely come back when ever we are on the 126 again!

Ay chihuahua! The best of Fillmore, don’t get discourage from the outside signage it true delicious mexican restaurant, it’s better then others for sure. It’s hidden but trust me it’s good taste.
Their green sauce it’s unbelievable good.

Great food, and love the vinegar onions try some next time your on the 126.

VEGETARIANS BEWARE! I love Ay chihuahua and often stop here for lunch on my breaks since it’s close to work, inexpensive, and better than Taco Bell or McDonald’s. I am absolutely not a vegetarian but I do love a classic bean, rice, and cheese burrito with sour cream and avocado and this is what I always order when I visit ay chihuahua. Now here’s where things get a little unfortunate… Occasionally when I get my BRC burrito & take my first bite, I’m met with a mouthful of delicious meat. Sometimes chicken, sometimes pork but always disappointing. Fortunately for me, I am not a vegetarian and always eat my meaty burrito regardless but I’d much rather just get what I ordered in the first place. Since I always come here on lunch breaks, I always get my food to go and don’t notice till I’m back at work or at the park down the street that my order is incorrect. Total bummer. Also, I wish the cheese in their burritos was a little more melty. I always get big bites of cold, shredded cheese which isn’t the greatest. The pickled onions here are really good and when they do get my order correct it’s pretty much the greatest thing ever.

My wife and I were driving towards the coast and she was looking for a breakfast burrito place… Ay Chihuahua popped up. Glad it did! She had the sausage and egg burrito, I went with Nadia’s special, Chile Verde minus nopales and jalapeños. Both were great! Next time I might try the Chile Verde on a plate. From burritos to tacos to plates, you can’t go wrong. Place is clean. Service is fast, friendly and hospitable.

Eh. It was ok. I got a bean, rice and cheese burrito. The rice was hard (old) but I was so hungry I ate it anyway.

Passing through Fillmore for the first time on my way to Santa PauIa, I saw that there was enough parking for my rig across the street, and in the dirt lot as well. Glad I stopped here.
I was pleasantly surprised to see that they have tripas, and lots of it. Its hard to find places that serve it, let alone make it well. So of course I got a couple tacos. Not bad. Could have cleaned it a bit more, but it was cooked right. I would get them again, but they weren’t mind-​blowing.
Also tried the Asada and Cabeza. The Carne Asada was different but not bad at all. The cabeza was different as well, I’m used to it being more fatty. (which I like)
The salsa bar was pretty unique, and rather good. Its a shame this place doesnt serve chips and salsa with that orange salsa they have. I tend to favor Mexican restaurants that serve free chips and salsa. It makes my day. The hot carrots werent hot, they should rename them bland carrots.
I love Coke from a bottle. ‘Nuff said.
The staff was very friendly and welcoming. As I ate I watched the locals come in and order food, and chop it up with the staff. I like that.
One thing that they were ordering was their special «Nadias Burrito»…a chili verde burrito con nopales y jalapenos. Sounds tasty, and its an excuse to come back and rereview.
One thing that irked me was that they had a historical picture of a dead man that had bled out all over his shirt, surrounded by bystanders. A bleeding corpse is not the most appetizing thing to put on a restaurant wall.
I’ll be back after I try the other mexican restaurants in the area.

I have eaten at catered events featuring Ay! Chihuahua 3 times. Yum! I will get to the restaurant soon. and the owner is friendly. Authentic Mexican.

Started coming here a few years ago when introduced by a co-​worker (his favorite place). Gets pretty busy during lunch time. Food is authentic and very tasty, dining room has lots of cool black and white photos, and employees are friendly. Tried burritos, tacos, quesadillas, nachos… all good.

I think we just me the nicest cholo ever. Lol

Solid 4 *, why is there a Taco Bell in this town, and why do people go there?
People are super friendly, food filling, cheap and YUMMY.
Salsa bar has good variety, the pickled onions are really good too.
I know alot of poeple that have recommended, but never had the opportunity till today.
I would go back.
Only negative is styrofoam cups :(
