Elegant Nails

Had to bring my girlfriend by to get mine and her feet done. We were in town for a wedding and this was a nice «elegant» place. The staff is really nice and I recommend anyone to stop by

Never had a bad mani or pedi here. My mom, dad, and I have been going there since 2007. Friendly staff, clean environment, quality work!

Just got a mani pedi at this place for the first time. I’ve been trying to find a nail salon that is reliably good in this area and was hoping this was it. Unfortunately it’s not. The woman who did them (I won’t give her name) says she works there 7 days a week because she is either one of the family members who own it, or else she’s just their most relied-​upon employee who has to be sure everything is run the way they expect (I had a hard time understanding her English on this point). So I was hoping I would get a very good mani– pedi. However, my nails look like they were painted by a blind person; nail polish does not go all the way to the edge of the nail bed on some of my fingernails, and on others she smeared the polish beyond the edges. She never tried to neaten up the edges at all, seeming to be in a big hurry even though there were no customers waiting. As she filed my nails she left several rough edges on the underneath side of the nail, which I pointed out to her and she sort of fixed. She did only slightly better on my pedicure. I should have asked that my manicure be re-​done but didn’t want to make a scene. As I sat under the hand dryer the woman next to me related that it was her first visit here too and she wouldn’t be coming back. It is so aggravating to end up with a sloppy manicure that looks worse than I ever do on my own at home, and had to pay money for to boot. I would have marked zero stars but Unilocal must require at least one star in order to post.

Just moved to the area. I was pleased about what a great job Cindy did on my mani/​pedi. Very reasonable pricing and friendly staff. I will definitely go back.

Maybe this place has new management since previous Unilocalers’ reviews/​tips, because I had a nice experience. Pedicure. Latest OPI colors, modern, functioning massaging chairs. I was greeted (and seated) immediately upon entering. I watched every employee clean and sterilize equipment, and wash their own hands. The salon itself was spotlessly clean. While I was there, three regular customers came and went, and each was greeted by name and/​or with person inquiries like, «How was your grandson’s play?» or, «Hi, Donna; where’s your daughter today?»
The only downside was that you can’t add a tip to your charge slip. Though that’s typical in many salons, so I was prepared and had cash.
