The food isn’t bad for typical American comfort dishes. The $ 9.99 menu has some real value. The chicken fried steak and honey fried chicken are excellent choices. The issues as they so often do, lay outside the kitchen. The atmosphere is awful. The place is loud and filled with diners who apparently don’t understand there is in fact an age at which your children should be left at home. Screaming infants and toddlers everywhere. The booths are cramped and the furniture uncomfortable in general. The floor staff consists of dead eyed, slow young women, who give the distinct impression they’d rather be anywhere but there. If you’re looking for a place to go when older relatives visit, you could do worse. Otherwise, probably not a top pick for most.

The steak here is actually really flavorful and juicy. I was highly impressed. The bartender was awesome and took great care of me. I got to enjoy the basketball game and a very affordable beer. If you’re alone and looking for a bite to eat and a drink definitely come here. The soup was a little dense but still good in flavor.

Wait staff was terrific! Food was good overall. The only thing I didn’t like was the salsa with the chips in the appetizer because it was fire hot and they wouldn’t substitute it with anything milder or more of the spinach dip that was really good, but lacking in quantity.

My fiancé and I have dined at this O’charleys several times and it is the typical chain experience so when we saw something non-traditional on the menu like fried green tomatoes we had to try them. Unfortunately we were underwhelmed by the excessive breading and bland flavor. The rolls are usually phenomenal when served hot and not overcooked. No such luck this time. The Santa Fe Tilapia was excellent, a large filet that was seasoned to perfection. They honored my special order request and substituted plain tomatoes for the Pico de Gallo. The 3-star rating is largely due to the Fried Chicken Salad. The bacon bits were so hard that my fiancé actually hurt her teeth eating her salad. Management came to the table to make it right and would have prepared a new one. That is all we can ask.

bartenders were extremely friendly. I haven’t been inside since the new renovation a few years ago, but the inside layout is über bizarre… when I was younger I would come with my family and always always order the Loaded Potato Soup and their bread at the time were actual hardy pieces of bread; not hallowed out with mostly air with a thin weird outside crust. the potato soup was mediocre to say the least… the new menu and new building layout makes me never want to come to this location again: super unfortunate since it’s a closer location to where I live

Yes, this is O’Charlies, but this is also a warning. I’m giving this two stars because, out of the five in our party, two got a decent meal, and the soup was okay. So I’m being generous. Service started off bland and remained bland as if she really didn’t want to be there. Not my problem. It also took a while and was slow throughout. Drink orders came. Bread was ok. Half a container of butter with each basket of bread. Fine. Soups came out. They were fine. Meals finally came out from a person whom appeared to be the manager. The three kids meals were fine, however, one had carrots with ranch as a side. How hard is it to get this wrong? Easy apparently. The carrots looks like they had been placed under a food dehydrator. I ordered the crab cake with sirloin. That plate came out maybe warm. The steak was cold to the touch on the sides, like it had been in the refrigerator from being cooked earlier, then gently reheated. Not to mention it looked like a piece of leather. The garnish was wilted. The hush puppies were uncooked in the middle. The crab cake was good enough to proceed with. I mentioned that the steak was cold, she apologized like it wasn’t the first time, took the plate back, brought it back out. Same plate of food, just slightly reheated. The hush puppies were now slightly burnt. And the steak now not the med well as we had asked for. My wife asked for steak sauce. That took 5 minutes. Check was brought out prematurely. Would I eat here again, no.

You know, it’s O’Charleys, you would think I wouldn’t need to write a review BUT… Came here for lunch, had a $ 5.99 soup & salad coupon, guess I shouldn’t complain too much when you only pay $ 6 for lunch BUT… Food took forever, soup looked & tasted like you could hang wallpaper with it. My son ordered a steak medium, came out well done. Waitress didn’t come back by for a while. Cucumbers in the salad looked like they were fresh last week. And the salad itself, thought I was back in school, iceberg & ranch with croutons. Oh & the soggy cucumbers. Not to mention the manager sitting at a table playing games on her phone. Can’t be too mad, I love a mean pet rescue saga. Not sure why I keep coming back here…

This is my second time at this location. I ordered a burger last visit(which was tasty and fresh, especially if you find regular fast food burgers don’t satisfy your palate). This time I ordered the prime rib with bacon smashed potatoes and a salad. I had a strawberry lemonade for my drink. That strawberry lemonade changed my life! Best I’ve ever had! It has fresh strawberries with strawberry purée and it’s sparkling, carbonated, which is a twist for me on my strawberry lemonade repertoire. I knew I was taking a gamble on the prime rib, especially ordering it medium rare. It was so fantastically tender! A little heavy on the salting along the crust, but otherwise perfect. All in all, my carnivorous cotton candy(the prime rib), as my mom calls it, was scrumptious. My salad was average. The bacon smashed potatoes were very flavorful with chunks if potato still present, which I like, but some people with food texture issues may not. I ordered my son the chicken fingers, and I must say that it was real chicken breast not some chicken paste coated in breading. They were seasoned well pretty tasty too! Our food came out very quickly! To top it all off, our waitress was phenomenal! The manager has stopped by our table every time I’ve eaten here. She’s great also! Did I mention that the chef himself even brought me a strawberry lemonade to go! This is a great restaurant for families with great, affordable food and great service!

We visited this restaurant a few weeks ago, I’ve just moved to the area and it was just okay. Food was probably slightly worse than your typical Applebee’s or Chili’s. We’d only choose this if it was a last resort.

Looking for a special on Wednesdays(for a limited time). Then, go to O’Charley’s for their free slice of one of their five pies with a dine-in purchase(excluding beverage or side). I love their yeast rolls. Today, they gave me three golden brown, big, mouth-seeking yeast rolls. I ate the most beautiful and deliciously spicy Cajun chicken pasta, which was so large for $ 9.99 that I have leftovers for lunch tomorrow. Also, I ordered a slice of their pecan pie(without the whipped cream). All so wonderful! Excellent service as well!

Other than the hostess forgetting to give us our menu’s(LOL!), the service was great! The $ 9.99er Caroline Chicken was delicious with bruschetta topping the chicken, over linguini. The portion was much more than I expected. I also had a delicious wedge salad which was crisp and fresh. My lemonade glass was topped off before it was emptied, and the fresh-from-the-oven dinner rolls were yummy!

This is your typical sit down American family friendly sit down full service restaurant. Service is good. Food good and fairly priced. They seem to have updated their menu… but still have some of their classics.

Typical chain food, purchased from one or another huge supplier of prepared restaurant food and marked up 3 to 5 times, sometimes more. Your cost is not in the food, but in the restaurant’s overhead. Whoopie! Why people eat out in such places, or worse, is incomprehensible to me, especially given the germ factor. A nurse friend of mine said that the dirtiest item in most restaurants is the menu. She washes her hands after ordering. For the same price, one could eat gourmet every night at home. Of course, one would have to cook and do the dishes, major undertakings by spoiled two-income Americans. The norm is $ 7.50 burgers. Lean ground chuck around here is typically $ 3/lb. Makes sense.

I have always found it funny that places like O’charleys still exist. I finally realized why yesterday; it is somewhere you can go to get a beer that is open on Easter past five PM in this dry sunday and christocentric state. The service was good and I ignored the atmosphere by reading a book and watching young men risk their physical well being for scholarships and the slim possibility of future employment called March Madness. I could not bringmyself to eat the fried fare, so I ordered some broc and a baked potato. I cannot comment then on the food since it would have taken some effort to screw that one up.

I’m always a skeptic of O’Charleys. Just never had an awesome experience that has me excited to go back for more. The one from my hometown was so awful that it’s not even there anymore, get the picture? So imagine my surprise that I have had not one, but TWO good experiences at this. very. location. Just this location. Don’t know what it is, service has been great, food has been great, either they are really awesome or the rest are really not awesome. Either way, I’m glad that there is at least one location that explains why this place is so popular, because I really didn’t get it. Speaking of this place, I can endorse the chicken strips with the ribbon fries(it takes me back to the State Fair) and a chicken salad. The rolls are a given. Normally I’m used to everything being a sub-par salt lick, but never had that problem at this location! So for the typical chain, this one is worth going to.

The stand-out here are the free, fresh, buttery, soft, warm rolls served unlimitedly at every meal. Everything else I’ve ever tried has been good enough, nothing particularly special. If a typical chain restaurant meal sounds good and there is an O’Charley’s nearby then go for it, but I wouldn’t make a special trip.
