I really want to like this place. The food was delicious and they have a great selection of beers on tap. However, the prices are entirely too high for what you get. Three couples went here on a Saturday night and each couple had to spend $ 120 for the most basic of meals. Chicken sandwiches, burgers, and even a grilled cheese. Each person had two beers. That should never cost that much money. The place is small but cute. I probably wouldn’t go back but it was a place that I had wanted to try.

This is a good place to go and have a good time. Very cozy. Food is delicious. This is the food we need in the area, very different and exquisite. You can come here every week and will always enjoy the food and the good beer. The service is excellent. The salads are excellent. The food tastes very fresh with fresh local ingredients. I love this place.

This place has great beer and delicious food. They offer a good variety of Belgian and Belgian style ales on tap as well as plenty of bottled sours. It is a wonderful addition to Main Street, Fishkill.

Absolutely love this place! They have a great beer selection with a lot of choices you wouldn’t typically see on a restaurant menu. The food is very good, although I do think some of their items are a little over priced. On my recent trip here I ordered the muscles which came out in a huge pot. They were incredible! We also tried the cheese board which was not impressive. The service is very good. Every time I come it seems to be the same servers but one in particular is very good. Definitely a place to check out.

Hands down one of the best burgers I have had in the longest time. Yes, I went to those other places in Beacon, but they don’t hold a candle to the burgers here. For the record, not a fan of runny eggs, but boy did that egg make the burger extra special. Fantastic service, fantastic food and conveniently located. I’ll be back! !!

Cozy atmosphere and friendly, knowledgeable staff. A nice selection of Belgian beer to choose from — you’re bound to find one that suits your taste. I had the Dutchess burger and my boyfriend had the Croque Madame. The portions were hearty and the food was delicious! Will definitely be back!

Great comfort food ! Our family of five was well pleased after a cold day of Christmas tree cutting ! Hope to be back to try the Brussel sprouts and bacon. Which they were out of when we dinned.

Delicious Belgian food and beer, intimate setting, love this place! We will soon be regulars, especially in nice weather because of the outdoor seating, usually the first place I recommend when people ask about where to go in Fishkill!

I had lunch at the Biercafe when I was visiting my daughter in college. All the places on Main Street seemed to be closed on Sunday. I was about to to give up and get in my car when I saw this place. I was intrigued by the beer menu, and the food looked good so I gave it a try. Nice ambiance, and an intriguing array of beers(some local, but many from Belgium). They served each beer in a custom glass and one(that I did not have) came in a mini«yard» container like you see in some Irish style pubs(but smaller). I thought the menu was s bit limited, but it all sounded good and well/made. The chicken sandwich I had had some interesting spices, roasted red peppers and was quite tasty(except for a roll that was too brittle and crumbly.). All in all — great beer and presentation — 5+. The food could have been solid 4, but mine was not quite that good. Nice — with s potential for even more!

Stopped by with my boyfriend for some brunch and it was the best decision! Such a cozy intimate environment. Great music on and friendly waitress. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and my boyfriend had the Croque Madame –grilled cheese with bacon and an egg on top; it was delicious. The ingredients were fresh and we had no complaints. We can’t wait to go back, might just make it an every Saturday occasion.

Stopped in about a month ago for lunch and was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was. THe place, from the outside, doesn’t look like much, and you might just think about passing it by. Don’t! Go inside and order the delicious pretzel appetizer, a nice cold beer, and any main dish from the menu, and you will be delighted and thankful that you didn’t just pass on by.

We did a hike up Mt. Beacon on Saturday and wanted to find a good local restaurant for a well needed lunch. Based on Unilocal reviews, we tried the Dutchess Biercafe. The restaurant is small, maybe seats 22 people inside, with(2) 4 tops outside. I love to try local restaurants when we can, as opposed to chain restaurants. Wow, I can’t say enough about the Dutchess Bierfafe! The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The food… the food was amazing! Fresh, quality ingredients, and a great mix of textures and flavor. We split: *Brunch Burger: Burger, Blue Cheese(I changed it from Amer that they offered), Bacon, Avocado. * Cuban Steak Sandwich And, the Cherry beer was refreshing.

The place is small, but we got a table. We stopped in Saturday close to noon and drank a few beers with some great food. We tried the waffles, burger special, spanish mussels, cubano sandwich. Plus, two of the beers. Everything was great and we loved the food and drinks. The burger was huge, the mussels was just spicy enough. Everything was well made from good ingredients. Similar to belgium, everytime I go I find the food well made from very fresh and good supplies. We tried their sour cherry beer, that was great and very different different. The belgian style fruit beer is very different than most american styles. It was very sour just like the cherries used to make it. They did not sweeten it up.

Wow. Belgian Biercafe — tiny restaurant with a few tables inside and a few more outside front sidewalk. You really stole my heart. Stopped in around 3:30PM on Saturday for a bite. They have Belgian beers or Belgian-style American beers on tap. My husband had the Allagash James Bean bourbon barrel aged triple with cold pressed coffee added. %10.3 abv! Great brew. Specials were excellent. Pork bahn mi with sriracha fries was killer. «brunch burger» with bacon, cheese and fried egg on top— best burger I’ve had in ages. We love this place and we will be back.

«In Belgium it’s common to toast to the host or the friendly friend with a fat wallet who bought the drinks.» In this place, the person buying you drinks better have a fat wallet, because beers are a bit on the pricey side. This Belgian inspired restaurant has a phenomenal list of beers and change out the ones on tap from time to time. As I mentioned above, they are just a tad more expensive than I’m accustom to in local spots. The menu is not extensive but there are plenty of good options(for the meat eaters). My wife was a bit disappointed due to them not having a certain appetizer available(Fried red beet risotto with goat cheese) and with an already limited vegetarian menu, this was quite disheartening. We decided to share 2 small appetizers(they have a nice split between bar grub and appetizers) in the pretzel rods(with jalapeño cheese sauce) and fried chickpeas(with spices). Both were quite good and not filling — meant in a good way of course, so that I may actually eat my dinner! For the main courses the vegetarian went with a grilled cheese sandwich on challah bread with a bowl of tomato soup, while I was drawn directly to the chicken and waffles sandwich. Having had the original chicken and waffles in Harlem on several occasions, I can be a bit critical of this dish. An earlier review had posted that this was the«best in the Hudson Valley.» I am glad to say that I can confirm. I absolutely recommend it — fried chicken, waffles, bacon, smothered in maple syrup… try and say no to that, I dare you! I’ll absolutely be making a return trip, however I hope they add a few more veggie options to their menu. While my wife enjoyed her grilled cheese, it’s a hard sell to have her go back for it when there are other restaurants in the area that cater more to her needs. If they add it, she will come!
