Love the place, not the customers. Enjoy the wide selection of foods and quality. Really like the prepared foods, wings, sandwiches, enormous salads, rotisserie chickens, desserts and other hot foods. Great portion and fair prices.

Go ahead, compare it to Hannafords or Shaws I guarantee not only will you find a better selection at this Market Basket but the prices are unbeatable. The exact same items… for some odd reason will always cost more at those other stores. Their bakery puts Hannafords and Shaws bakery to shame… and cost less. My only concern is that a few times the produce has been slightly dated, almost never happens though, there’s a reason more and more people shop here, is affordable and good quality. The employees also seem to really care about this company.

I’m not a fan of all Market Basket locations but this one is exceptional. The best part is they have a great produce section; I can find nearly anything I might want and definitely more so than the local Shaw’s. Their ethnic sections have what I’ve always needed, as well. It is crowded most of the time I’ve ever been, no matter the day of the week or time of day so I have to live with that. My biggest gripe would be that items are often in the oddest places and there’s just no way I would have guessed the location without asking staff. The upside is that the staff is knowledgeable and almost always knows exactly where I should look. Oh, yes, and prices are the best I can without being in the market for bulk food shopping.

Yay! I had to go up to Massachusetts for work for a week and live out of a hotel so this spot was my saving grace. For a relatively small sized supermarket(compared to what I’m used to) they had pretty much everything. I mostly bought packaged foods(healthy, right?) so I didn’t really get to experience whether or not the produce or meats were fresh, but they looked decent from afar. It’s in sort of a shady area of town though, so beware. I felt a little uneasy with my non-MA license plates.

Yes, the prices are dirt cheap. But the stores are disgusting, and usually have a wierd smell. I wouldn’t trust any of the fresh product– the dirt cheap prices no doubt come from the sub-par quality. Also, THELINES! I will pay more to shop elsewhere just so I don’t have to wait in line for a half hour.

YEAH! I miss Market Basket. The prices are just dirt cheap for the same products you’d get at Stop & Shop or Shaws. There’s usually a crowd, and the floors always seem to have piles of sawdust on the floor(cleanup in aisle five!), but who really cares? I live in Rhode Island now, but sometimes I still make the 40 minute drive to Raynham to go to the Market Basket there.

Market Basket is increasingly becoming the most diverse and democratic food chain in MA and this brand new store is no exception. From Chinese to Puerto Rican to Brazilian you can find your ingredients here. When I worked at Market Basket in 1988 it was nothing like this. You could only find the typical American produce, meat and dairy staples. Now you can get pigs tails for feijoada, rabbits for braises rabbitses, plantains for traditional fried plantains and the list goes on and on. This is a great place to shop not only for the products but for the great prices, diverse clientle and great employees. I could not survive in Central MA without it.
