Wow! Brix has great reviews and we were very happy with our experience, from food to drinks to staff. I went with my dad and step mom for my dads birthday. They have a really cool wine list that actually changes every week(yes week). On Wednesdays their sommelier tries wines from the region and old ones they have lying around that haven’t been on the list and he picks the wine list. They also let you try the wine before you get it — a huge plus in our book. The servers told us all of this, and really helped us pick perfect wines for our dishes. They were very knowledgeable and I think they came to our table every few minutes but we’re not overbearing at all. Food came very quickly. And it was amazing. We got the brussel sprouts, cauliflower /shishito peppers, and the oysters as appetizers. I got the pork(amazing) and my dad got the trout while my step mom got the lemon risotto. All were amazing!

Brix Flagstaff is one of the most boutique experiences I’ve had to date! Knowledge and passion from the staff mixed with the most incredible food from the chefs was the perfect evening! Thank you Brix!

It blows my mind that you can find food this amazing in a small town like Flagstaff. We came in town for the night hoping to find a decent meal. I got the cavatelli, which might have been the best and most original pasta dish I’ve ever tried. The drinks, charcuterie, and salad were all great too. Coming from Scottsdale I didn’t think I’d be impressed, but I can’t think of a place in town that is better. And to top it off the prices are very reasonable for what you get. I love trying new places but I think I’m going to try everything on the menu here before I go anywhere else.

Amazing meal! Great atmosphere! Amazing service! Chief prepares new and interesting combinations that make you want to be more creative in your kitchen! A must taste! They are also great if you have gluten sensitivities. Two thumbs up from two Mainers that enjoy excellent food!

Incredible. Unusually slow for a Friday night. Slightly slow getting our table but once we sat down everything was great. Server was well informed and very attentive. Incredible décor and atmosphere. The place felt very cozy and not at all feeling like I was in a restaurant. Started with the chorizo fingerlings and caramelized brussel sprouts. Everything was cooked right and very flavorful. Next we had the shrimp and grits and the fried Washington oysters. Again, super tasty and flavors were nicely layered. Everything was as described. Good food, highly recommend this place. Being a flagstaff native this is a favorite spot. Not sure what some of the negative reviews are for on here. If you call to make a reservation ask for Dallas as your server as she’s amazing.

We were so glad we went to Brix for dinner on Thanksgiving weekend. The place was small and all the tables were taken. Good thing we had made a reservation beforehand. We got there early and were seated soon after. We ordered the pommes frites(lip-smackingly good), pork belly(yummy to the belly!), and the New York strip(juicy and savory). We also got ice cream for dessert. One was popcorn flavored. I had forgotten the other two flavors but they weren’t the usual ice cream flavors. Even though I don’t remember the flavors, I remember that they were great! Our waitress was outstanding. She had a great sense of humor and was very knowledgeable of the items on the menu. Brix is quite pricey but worth every penny.

Enjoyed the seven course New Years Eve dinner last night. All seven courses were delicious. Definitely going to make this a tradition.

service was excellent. did not have a reso and they still accommodated us letting us know they may need to take table early. that was not needed and they let us know we could keep the table. the servers were attentive, fast, and thoughtful, given our vegetarianism. great to have actual whole grains on the menu and not just pasta; as veg options. farro w beets and lettuce was perfectly seasoned and the beets were clearly freshly prepared. corn soup is a must. not too creamy or salty. Brix bread plate is amaze. olive oil is something Greek and three different local artisanal breads with butter, oil, sun dried tomatoes and sea salt. great start. olives were slightly salty but given overall experience and quality of food and service, this place is a 5 star. also fantastic to have such a quaint and casual atmosphere with such impeccable food and service!

If I could give this establishment no stars I would. From the second we walked in, the entire staff was cold. My husband and I arrived a few minutes before our reservation. The hostess informed us our table was not yet ready, but we were free to sit at the bar. She showed us the way through the mostly empty dining room and dictated which two(of the half open) seats we may sit at. We ordered a bottle of wine, and were promptly informed by the bartender they were out of the one we requested and the bartender walked away so we could continue to look. Please keep in mind, at no point were we asked if we were looking for suggestions… at a self-proclaimed wine bar. Once we were seated, sadly things only got worse. I would have thought our server Nell was having a bad day, but she was obviously attentive to the table next to us. Anytime she was forced to come to our table she made us feel as though we were taking up space and time. The food was mediocre at best. My husband had the New York strip, which had zero flavor and definitely wasn’t fresh. My pasta was palatable. I’m not quite sure what the great reviews are about, but at least the wine was good.

I live in Las Vegas and eat great meals on a weekly basis. I can’t think of the last time I had a meal that was this satisfying and interesting. My friend and I had: — Pommes Frites with white truffle oil — Caramelized Brussels sprouts with a lemon-roasted vinaigrette, bacon, Apple, grilled red onion and Parmigiano Reggiano — Cornmeal fried Washington oysters with candied bacon, local okra, Swiss chard, spicy aioli, preserved lemon — Seasonal carrot soup with a chili oil — Shrimp and Grits with smoked jalapeño jam, white wine broth — Roasted duck breast with butternut squash gnocchi, duck confit, sage, fennel purée, pomegranate — Olive oil cake with dates and peanut brittle Needless to say, it was a feast. It’s nice to eat at a restaurant where the food is fantastic, the ambience top notch, where they care about sustainability and finally, a restaurant with soul that is unlike any other. I’ll be coming back to Flagstaff just to eat here and to bring my husband who missed out.

For the price, unfortunately the food was not what we expected. Our chicken dish was quite dry and the potatoes were the same way. What was really good was the Brussels sprouts appetizer. Unfortunately they were out of the wine I select, however, from a service perspective the server did offer to provide an alternate and comp it, which was greatly appreciated. The desert was«ok» — we tried the ice cream trio and two were good, one was overpowering on flavor(Vanilla Bourbon). I wish for the price, as I say, the food had been better.

A great option for fine dining in Flag. Once inside, there is exposed brick behind the bar. The wine options are sure to satisfy all tastes. The menu has a «farm to table» feel to it with fresh ingredients. We went with the Duck Breast and the Farm Chicken. We enjoyed them both, including the sides. We spilt a desert of Crème brûlée. A great meal and experience.

This restaurant is a must do. I had a fabulous dinner, the bartender was friendly and super knowledgeable. Beautiful place and experience. I ordered dessert because my entrée was that good. It’s completely ok to go in alone, they were all so nice when I was served at the bar last night. Bravo!

Great place! small, cozy and great patio. Had the Beet salad, Shrimp and grits, soup of the day and the caramelized Brussel sprouts. Very good wine selection, great service and there was no rushing the patrons out the door. Definite plans to go back and enjoy more of the menu.

What a great find along Route 66! We were just in from the airport, driving to Williams at about 9pm at night. Found this restaurant on TripAdvisor and went for it! We got there just before last food orders and were lucky to be let in. The waiter was extremely tall and very knowledgeable about the menu. The food was delicious and very healthy. They had a nice cocktail list and even made a cute mocktail for our underage traveler! The décor is fun and the music is great. We were seated inside but could see a fun group of people enjoying their outdoor seating. Also a big group inside enjoying great wine. Seems like a great place for parties. I dont know when I’ll ever be in Arizona again, but I definitely loved this place!

Came here a few years back during N.A.U. Homecoming and it is just as good as it was then. Great on time and friendly service. Food was Yum and we think reasonably priced. We have only sat outside but they have a big bar with ample seating indoors.

Brix did not disappoint. We were seated in the front room(1 of 3 and a patio) near the copper covered bar at a table for two amid only a few others for 4 – 6 people. Glad we made reservations since all the tables were full! The Basil Lemonada was refreshing and delicious and my friend enjoyed a Black Flag. Well made cocktails. I ordered the duck breast with polenta, & greens, all drizzled with a fig reduction. If I thought I could have gotten away with it I would have licked the plate clean! SO good! A perfect pairing of flavors. My friend ordered the evening special of Fiji snapper, puréed parsnips and favs beans… his plate was clean, too! Dessert was their lemon curd bread pudding. It didn’t live up to the deliciousness of the main entrees, but was ok. Service was friendly and accommodating though the waiters seemed rushed. Perhaps they were low on staff. All in all, if we lived here, this would be a regular eatery for us.

Our 4th night in Flagstaff and this was the BEST dinner on our trip from San Jose. Fresh and creative items on the menu. Fantastic cocktails from Stephen in the bar. Outstanding service and cozy seating. This place came recommended from another server in town. Thanks, Michael!

Let me begin by saying I hadn’t been to Brix in a few years, not because my previous experiences weren’t good but because they were unremarkable. Let me say how wrong that opinion was. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with exceptional service. Dave their front end manager(new to the position since I had been there last) was incredibly knowledgeable about wine and food, we had any and all questions answered from the get go. His attentiveness was only out shown by our waiter Esteban. Esteban and Dave gave us their recommendations for our meals and I’ve learned in the past that this is always the way to go. We were given a complimentary amuse bouche from the kitchen which was a seared ahi tuna, it was delicious and perfectly cooked. Next came our small plate of brussels sprouts with bacon and butter. Hands down the best I’ve ever had and my significant other makes great sprouts(we eat them at home 3 times a week). When our entrees arrived the presentation was impeccable. The duck breast was a perfect medium rare and my pork belly was crisp on the outside and tender and moist on the inside. Finally, our dessert came, as recommended by Dave and Esteban we had the lemon bread pudding and the assorted house made ice creams. All were decadent and delicious. The bread pudding had a donut like texture, rich and buttery, just amazing. The trio of ice creams were incredibly pleasing. The berry and chocolate chip were definitely our favorites but the caramelized honey was quite delicious as well. With out a doubt the food at Brix is some of the best in Flagstaff. We have a number of good restaurants to choose from here though, and I think what separated Brix from the pack was the impeccable service. This is a well managed, knowledgeable front end.
