SpringHill Suites Flagstaff

Very comfortable suites. Staff went out of their way to accommodate. Much appreciated.

I usually wouldn’t rate a Springhill 5 stars, because as a Marriot rewards member, there are better flavors of Marriots, however, we really enjoyed our stay. I was greeted with an arrival gift (for both my husband and I) since I am a Platinum member, the service was excellent, the employees we’re very knowledgeable about the surrounding area and provided maps for the Grand Canyon. They also had food recommendations. Our room was really clean and well stocked, and of course there was complimentary hot and cold breakfast. Raised the bar for future Spring Hill Suite stays!

This is my second stay here. The first time was much better. Seemed dirtier than when I visited a few years back. Not like super dirty but just not as clean as I remember it. The service was decent and their breakfast spread, although just meh, we did enjoy the waffles. They had Nutella spread so it was a nice treat as I haven’t seen a lot of hotels offer Nutella so I’ll give them credit for that. Please please work on cleaning the rooms better. I like the Springhill brand so it would be a shame for me to avoid staying here because I don’t think it’s clean.

Bummer. No hot tub, beat up cramped room, broken curtains, droopy shower curtain rod. Overall, not impressed. Only got 2 stars because it was clean and had a good breakfast. $ 159 a night is about $ 59 too high. «The rent is too damn high»

Overall OK but improvements needed. First off, staff was great and responsive. No problems there. Nice people.
The room was pretty standard but I hated the loud, never-​can-​quite-​get-​the-​right-​temperature-​nailed-​down old fashioned heating/​AC system in the room. It is one of those large units next to the window that’s loud as hell but controlled from a thermostat on the wall. Seemed like I could never quite dial it in… too hot, too cold, etc.
The window to the room didn’t lock. Wasn’t concerned about a break-​in on the 2^nd floor but I smelled smokey air come in thru the cracks at night. Had to place towels and other items along window to keep the outside air from coming in. Needs some repair.
The room felt moderately dark, even with all the lights on, including the bathroom. The TV placement was definitely annoying. No clock in the room. Had to hold handle down for 3 or 4 seconds to get toilet to properly flush. Shower was fine but who designs these showers where you have to completely get into the shower to turn it on, thus having to endure brief encounter with extra cold or hot water coming down full force (no water volume switch that I could find).
The gym was too hot. I don’t need heat blowing down on my head while I’m on the treadmill. I asked the front desk about it but the thermostat was off limits. Stoopid. Then I tried to turn the TV on but there was no clicker. They didn’t have one. Some slobs had used the gym and there were towels and water cups everywhere. No one cleaned it up, even after I told the staff.
The breakfast area was completely packed with people in the am. I’m thinking maybe the staff was overloaded with people. Overall, I would stay again, though I’d look for other options in town first.

I was under the impression that Marriot was synonimous with a «nice hotel». Apparently, I was wrong, The staff was very professional and friendly.
The room was not impressive at all. The T.V. placement was odd and difficult to watch from either room. The bathroom was dirty and there was black mold in the shower. Also, you had to be in the shower to reach the faucet and the blast of cold water when it’s 20 degrees outside was a bit shocking.
The best thing about the free breakfast was the fact it was free. The orange juice was so watered down, it was like literally just yellow water. The eggs (powdered, I assume) were tasteless and watery and the sausage patties way undercooked. All of the bread selections were stale, at best.
The selling point for my wife, when she made the reservations was the indoor, heated pool with windows that you could see the snow. The pool area looked dated and dirty, just dingy and dark, nothing like the pictures on their website.
Most likely will stay somewhere else when we visit Flagstaff again.

Stayed here with family when doing the Polar Express thing in Williams. Nice hotel, with helpful staff, clean room, but nothing particularly amazing about it. It is price appropriate for the amenities.
One observation, the parking lot is small but not secure. Do not leave valuables in your car. Our car was broken into, but the turd that did it got nothing. :) Still — just enough to really make you mad. I would suggest considering the Courtyard for a good step up with not much difference in daily rate.

We were passing through on our cross country roadtrip and did Priceline express and got this hotel.
It was $ 70 including tax for the night with a beautiful and spacious suite (about 300 ft2) with an L-​couch, beautiful bathroom, and king bed, with a nice view of trees in the back. Incredible value for the money, and also included a substantial breakfast of oatmeal, juices, waffles, eggs, sausages, cereals, and baked goods.
There’s a small fitness center, and small heated pool. Would give 5 stars if there was a jacuzzi.
Short drive of 5 – 6 minutes to historic downtown. If you’re into chain restaurants, you’re in heaven, however for us we decided to drive into old town to dine.

I am incredibly disappointed. I have been a Marriott rewards customer for many years and have been loyal to Marriott for nearly 15. This has the be one of the most uncomfortable stays I have ever endured in a Marriott. I would have walked out immediately had all other decent and pet friendly hotels in town been booked two days ahead of Christmas. First thing I noticed when entering the room, and actually the entire floor, was the smell. It was a combination of BO, cleaning products, and musty staleness. The room’s carpet and couch were disgusting, covered in stains, broken down and the carpet and couch fabric both ripped and torn in places. I didn’t want to sit on the couch and am thankful to have brought thongs to not touch my feet to the carpet. The sink area was thankfully clean but the shower was full of long black hairs and had water stains and mold in all the corners and on the outside. I found a pool of splattered clear liquid with some hairs in it in the closet. The sheets on the bed looked clean enough but smelled like urine. The lampshades were all damaged in some way or another, the furniture was damaged and missing pieces as well. The furniture had been moved during cleaning and not replaced prior to our arrival. The lamps and bedside tables all had dust on them, and the tables in the sitting area were dirty. There were also food or makeup stains on the wall of the bathroom. I will be posting pics of a few of the issues I’ve found. The only positive thing about our stay was our check-​in. The man who checked is in was incredibly friendly and welcoming.

This is a step up from Motel 6. I mean really. They need to hire a better cleaning crew and throw out there nasty mattresses. We opened the sofa bed to use and it was beyond gross. Straight up nasty. They weren’t even smart to already have the covers on it to cover up. It had all different kinds of stains on it. Mind you, this was the second room we transferred to.
The concept of the hotel is perfect, but it’s just not a clean hotel. The set up of the rooms is nice, but again… it’s not clean. I stayed at some really nice Springhill’s and this ain’t one of them.
Also, for the people who aren’t interested in staying where pets are welcomed, go to the Courtyard. I made that mistake. I mean gross (at least to me). I purposely stay at hotels where animals aren’t allowed.
Anyways, I wouldn’t stay here again if in the area. While I only stay at Marriott’s, when I’m in Flagstaff again I’m going to have to try another chain because this hotel is not worth $ 129/​night. Never again!

Lovely front desk staff. Rooms on the back of the house overlook a nice wooded lot. Rooms are spacious, clean and has good bed. Decent coffee pot — not one of those one cup per deals. Not right on the main road which makes it a bit quieter than other properties I’ve stayed at in Flagstaff. Will stay here again.

Have absolutely stayed in better Marriott’s. No hot water, wifi is horrible, and the breakfast was out of everything from eggs, to spoons, to napkins. Would recommend the Hilton or basically any other hotel.

Really small room for 2 queens. Not up to the quality of Springhill Suites.
Bathroom: if someone used the toilet the rest of the bathroom AND the closet was unavailable (usually there’s a door between the toilet and the sink).
Refrigerator: Turned itself OFF every 2 hours. So we could not leave medicine in the fridge while we slept OR when we were touring Flagstaff.
Rugs were dirty … we were told they are going to remodel soon.
EXCELLENT FRIENDLY STAFF (They kept our medicine in the hotel refrigerator and were VERY cheerful to get it when we needed it.) (The staff deserved a star, otherwise I’d have given only one star.)
Nice breakfast buffet.
I won’t stay there again. Almost checked out after the first day.

Traveling from Michigan to California, we stopped to see the Grand Canyon. There are so many hotels, motels B & B’s to stay at and I must say I used Unilocal the whole trip. Read so many reviews on Springhill and I wasn’t upset! We had a great time, all the way from the concierge who greeted us to the morning staff! The room is very nice! The only issue we had was the TV. And that was because the picture kept going in and out.
Would I recommend this hotel? Yes and be prepared for a busy city!

We stayed here last night and it was AWESOME! The gentleman, Safir at the desk last night had the best attitude and he set the bar for hospitality! He was so informative and helpful. He is somebody you want representing your company! We will stay again because of his awesome personality! The hotel accomadated or 26 ft trailer with no hassel. Great experience!

We chose this suite hotel for our cross country layover because it’s in the Marriott family (travel points), it’s within a reasonable day trip of the Grand Canyon National Park, and breakfast is included.
Pros: nicely appointed modern rooms with a front living room, desk area, and fridge and microwave bar. Two queen beds and a fairly large bathroom and walk in closet area.
Breakfast was a buffet style including oatmeal with multiple condiments, scrambled eggs and sausage, various breads, fruits, juice and strong coffee.
The desk staff was friendly and helpful. The business center is two computers and a printer, and there’s WiFi in the rooms, though it’s an unsecured connection. That’s actually a con, because that keeps them from being a viable business hotel, or even from being a contender if you want to do much of anything online.
Other cons: the indoor pool is heavily chlorinated, and that’s the smell that greeted us at the front lobby door. The exercise room has decent equipment but it’s limited to two treadmills and elliptical trainers and a few weights.
The bathroom layout is frustrating, because the toilet and shower are in the same section as the only sink and closet, without a door to divide them. So if someone is using the private facilities, no one can get to the sink or closet. There is no full length mirror anywhere.
The beds are very firm, which you may like, but which makes me flip like a pancake all night long and wake up sore and grumpy.
The pricing was about $ 240/​night including taxes, and we got the best deal booking online through our bank’s travel club. Calling for reservations will get you the highest rate. Two queen beds cost more than a king, and the advertised rate is usually for the king.
I’d stay here again but there may be better deals in town, depending on your particular needs.

Very nice environment as I walked in. Main lobby area was modern with lots of seating and area to charge devices and/​or do some work. We had our yorkie with us and they are Pet friendly so that was great. They gave us some doggie treats to welcome our pet. Additional $ 50 fee to have the dog stay.
The room was okay, there were 2 TV’s in it which was cool but a little awkward because we were put in a handicap room. Pull out bed was broken on the corner so it dropped to the ground but we didn’t realize it until we were already settled in. They offered to move us rooms but with a family of 5 it would have been too much work to move. I was hoping they would offer a discount but they didn’t.
The breakfast that was included was great! One of the best continental breakfasts I’ve ever had. Muffins, bagels, waffle maker, scrambled eggs, sausage, cereal and much more.

Conveniently located somewhat close to Grand Canyon. A lot of hotels & restaurants near by. By the time we drove there. we were exhausted. The guy that checked us out was very helpful he told us about the heated pool, gym and even offered restaurant recommendations.
We’ve been to a couple of Spring hill suites in OC & haven’t been disappointed. The set up of this room had a separate living room with couch and desk. A small refrigerator and microwave with coffee maker. The bathroom was setup differently small bathroom sink next to closet. The shower & toilet was next to each other. The one in OC we go to have toilet separate from shower.
The breakfast had strong coffee with flavored creamer. Eggs, breakfast patties, cereal and fruits. You can also make your own waffles.

Stop here for the night and the service was checking in was five-​star but the price wasn’t five-​star even with our discount still on the high side. Rooms was ok okay. Clean beds was comfortable had fridge microwave, coffee pot. I would look for something a little cheaper next time…

Two nights here as our base camp for exploring Flagstaff and then driving up to the Grand Canyon, the SpringHill is a clean and organized property. Our check-​in clerks were friendly, the room was clean and the breakfast spread was pretty decent.
I was very worried when we came back from dinner and a busload of teenagers (touring the nearby University?) were noisily unloading but we did not hear them at all inside the hotel. Impressive.
One small complaint: the door handle on the pocket door for the bathroom is too close to the doorframe. Only once did I smack my knuckles into the frame. That’s something you learn quickly. This is pretty poor design.
And on the subject of design, the layout of the room is interesting. Behind that one pocket door is the bathroom — toilet and shower, vanity, and the closet. All in one space. Weird.
Good location right next to a Wal-​Mart if you need stuff from there and any number of big chain restaurants. But if you’re on Unilocal,I hope you’re skipping those, mkay?
