The owner is so sweet and chill, and always makes a great Matcha latte. She also carries Dough donuts, which is so awesome to have right in the neighborhood. On certain weekends, a small band plays live music which is so relaxing. Def give this café a try if you’re in the area!

I was walking around the area craving something sweet. I’ve never been to this spot before, so I was a bit nervous, so I decided to try a new coffee spot and honestly this was probably one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. It’s a small shop, very clean with a friendly staff, everything looks fresh and they have state of the art equipment, very professional yet down to earth. This will be my regular«coffee spot». I had an iced coffee with a double shot of espresso and a strawberry cheesecake. Everything there is made fresh and it’s organic too! The prices are affordable, they honestly put Starbucks to shame. I talked to the owner and it’s a fairly new shop. My cravings were satisfied. Also try their fresh juices, my friend had one and it was amazing. Everything is prepared right in front of you and the quality is great. I wish I could give this place more than five stars.

Amazing. As always, I’m going to start off with the atmosphere and the reception. No matter how many times I’ve been here I’m continually pleasantly surprised by the welcoming atmosphere. Z is so super sweet and makes it a point to be engaging as possible. She even stopped and showed me pictures of her family back home. She makes you feel like you’re family. The Stumptown coffee is simply a plus. For those of you who are coffee lovers, disappointment is not possible. The drip of the day is always amazing and I’ve heard the cold brew is also super delicious though ive yet to have it. I stick to my hot coffee usually. The pastries come from various places. The donuts are from Dough, so expect to be blown away. The smooties are really good as well. You can actually choose your own fruit and everything– and for the price, you’re getting bang for your buck. Extra Plus? FREEWIFI!!! Now who doesn’t love free wifi? As always from Marie… Happy eating.

Real coffee made just for you. I think that this is the best compliment I can give to a coffee shop. I entered early in the morning, and there wasn’t a long line, so I got my coffee right away. I love how they decorated the place, it is not a big place, but they made it look like a classic coffee place. Every local coffee shop, which is not Dunkin’s or Starbucks start on my reviews from 3 stars. I am a big believer ib local coffee shops, from the days I lived in Italy. We need more places like Coffee Z in our neighborhood, they are very refreshing. But one thing that bothered me, I think that the prices here are little too high(For the neighborhood), and prevent from some people to enjoy this place every morning. Best coffee in the area.

This place has great & fast service. I got the café Au lait and it was creamy and strong. I also got the hibiscus doughnut. It was my first time trying one and it was so tasteful. It was a bit tangy and sweet. My 2 favorite taste in a doughnut.

Very convenient spot. This location is right outside of the subway station. The coffee is very good, I love how they have multiple sweetener options. They have many different types of artificial sweeteners, raw sugar, sugar, corn syrup, honey, and best of all they have cinnamon powder. They have many assorted sweets. The price is fair, my cream cheese bagel came out in a timely fashion. Only reason why they did not get a five star is because the bagel option was limited and it was kind of tough.

They have Stumptown beans! Friendly, helpful owner and baristas. Their latte art and foam are really nice(as you would expect from Stumptown). They have local pastries and cookies. Nice pedestrian plaza location. The one suggestion I would make is… country music in Brooklyn? I actually heard a song(no exaggeration) where a young cowboy was courting a hillbilly chick and complimenting how pretty her voice was: «It sounds like truck tires on a gravel road.» Ha ha. Good sh*t.

Coffee Z is such a great coffee shop! Not only do they serve Stumptown Coffee and some of the most delicious donuts ever, but their staff is the absolute sweetest! Every time I stop in, I am always greeted with a smile and kind words. Out of all of the other coffee shops in this area, Coffee Z is definitely the best!

The woman at first was very pleasant but when I realized she misunderstood my order and kindly said something so that it was fixed I literally saw her clench her jaw and her pleasantness went out the door. She fixed the order but her demeanor went cold. And fast. I stayed as upbeat as I could but that moment of hostility was enough for me to decide to not go back there ever. I didn’t like how I felt when I exited the store. Bad vibes.

So far so good. I’ve had their iced coffee, hot coffee and cappuccino and they’ve all been yummy. Specialty drinks are about $ 5-$ 6 which sucks because it’s Manhattan prices in Brooklyn but whateves. It’s usually not crowded so its good during rush hour. And the staff is always nice so it makes my mornings a little less terrible.

I love this place. The owner is one of the nicest people around and she’s passionate about her place. I come in all the time, either for a coffee or a freshly squeezed juice. Or sometimes both. And each time, I leave with a delicious drink. There’s lots of other coffee places nearby, including 2 that are very close but in my own personal opinion, this place is the best.

Awesome new place in Newkirk Plaza. They had donuts from Dough when I visited. The person handling my order was super nice and the location itself looks great!

I just came here the other days on my usual caffeine hunt. I read about thus new place and decided to try. I walked in and could tell it’s still new– not broken in yet. I ordered a latte and the barista was happy to serve. It’s hard to find a happy barista– so that’s a +. They did not have to stay cups. I like drinking out a mug and sitting down but it has limited space and only to go cups. The latte was soooo good though! It was really good latte! The beans are strong but have a smooth taste. Also the milk is warm and creamy! It was rich, string, and creamy! All the elements I love about a latte. They have a few seats by the window so I sat and watched the rain fall while enjoying my cup. Perfect way to start my morning! I would come back again.

Love this place. I just moved into the neighborhood in June and I was looking for«a place». Com’n you know what I mean = someplace where you go and you feel welcome. FOUNDIT. I love their ice coffee. I should come in more often because of how much I love that ice coffee. They cold brew it and it does not have quite the bite that hot brew coffee does. Well maybe it’s that the use Stumptown Beans? One of My brothers lives in Seattle and a wears by Stumptown. This is first experience. All I can say is get it. For such a small place, the do have a wide selection: dough donuts, fresh squeezed juice, pasteries, hot coffee, muffins, tea, lemonade, and I imagine I forgot some items. I cannot eat a lot of the items because I can no longer digest wheat; however this is my birthday weekend so I had one of their dough donuts. Delicious. I will be bringing and recommending this place, to friends and family. Please come it is a new place with real nice owners and I do not want«my place» to disappear.

Just happened to walk by Coffee Z this morning as I took an alternate route to the train station. I hadn’t noticed they were opened for over a month and I only live two blocks away. They kinda get lost because they are in the middle of a block with a lot of other businesses but it’s well worth it once you find it. The cold brew I had was fantastic, as I would expect because they use Stumptown beans. The two ladies behind the counter this morning were very friendly and nice. And the fact that they have Dough donuts made it a real winner. I will definitely be going back there tomorrow for another cold brew!

I visited Coffee Z this morning on my way to work. The staff is very friendly, the café is well laid out and makes good use of their limited space. It was also spotless and even thought they just opened, they had plenty of pastries, juices and coffees for sale. Their prices are higher than most places on the Plaza but the neighborhood is changing(just look at my rent!). I did not think upscale restaurants would make it in my neighborhood but the OxCart, Coffee Mob and Milk and Honey have already proved me wrong!

I went to check this spot out this morning and was pleasantly surprised. I ordered the chai latte with soymilk which the owner made for me. She explained to me how she makes her own tea for the chai and how it is not powder based. It was so delicious that it did not need sweetener. I appreciated the chat that I had with the owner it made me want to come back. We definitely need more places like this in the neighborhood. Coffee Z welcome to Ditmas Park!
