History

Established in 1965.

Watson Realty Corp, a trusted name since 1965, was a dream of Bill Watson‘s even while he was a student at Stetson University in the late 1950s. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business with a major in Real Estate and Insurance he completed his military obligation and returned to Jacksonville, immediately going to work in the industry of his choice. Watson Realty Corp. began on December 16, 1965 as a single office real estate company in a shared storefront with Bill Watson and one part-​time sales agent. From the beginning, Watson Realty has focused on Legendary Quality Service, with long-​range rather than short-​term goals — building upon a foundation of strong leadership and salesmanship. Watson Realty‘s first branch office opened on March 1, 1970 and we have continued to expand ever since — now with 41 residential sales offices and more than 1,200 sales associates throughout Northeast Florida, the Beaches, Gainesville, Starke and South Georgia.

Bill Watson, the company’s Chairman of the Board and founder, graduated from Stetson University, majoring in real estate and insurance. He began his career with a small office in Jacksonville, Florida in 1965 and dreamed of a people-​oriented company sensitive to the needs, wants and desires of its customers.

With this philosophy, and with the talent to recruit top managers and sales associates, Mr. Watson has brought this company to the position of one of the largest and most respected real estate firms in the nation.
