Dan was amazingly helpful. He gave me great advice on how to begin smoking a pipe and with his wealth of knowledge passed down through his father, what could go wrong. I will definitely go back to Paul’s anytime I need anything.

Dan claims to have over one million pipes on the property. I have never seen a selection anywhere near as large. This is the most comprehensive pipe and pipe tobacco shop you are likely to fine. This is a good find for connoisseurs, collectors and newbies. Note: There is not a smoking lounge

Paul’s Pipe Shop was an awesome place to visit. Their selection of tobacco, cigars, and pipes was incredible. All of the Cayuga pipes are literally made there. Dan gave us a tour of the workshop and the store and was super helpful. If you buy a Cayuga they have a club that gives you free tobacco and stuff. Pretty cool place!

A Flint landmark of sorts. Best assortment of cigars for real cigar aficionados. The original owner, Paul Spaniola, was a helluva guy and a local legend around Flint. This store is like the heart and soul of Flint, both sturdy and enduring. It’s been a staple of downtown for as long as I can remember. The cool thing about this shop is that both even non smokers love Paul’s Pipe Shop. Old Paul, himself, may be gone but his legacy lives on. Fair prices on cigars and personalized service. They’re so nice that they’ve even given me free cigars from new lines to sample. That’s how I’ve discovered a couple of new favorites.

This place is a classic — -want to walk into a pipe shop/museum/historical site – this is the place. Helpful and friendly– great selection of pipes – they have their own line of pipes that are well priced and well made. A Michigan tradition. Walked out with 2 Cayuga pipes and will be back for more.

What a fantastic and unique retail store front in Downtown Flint. It’s been there for years, the staff is friendly and very knowledgeable about pipe smoking, and the store is world-renowned in the pipe community. If you enjoy tobacco products or pipe-smoking specifically, you should definitely stop into Paul’s Pipe Shop!

Paul’s is one of the places that remind you how awesome Flint is. I’m not a Paul Spanola historian but his son has told me a few great stories about Paul’s really cool, long, and prosperous life. My favorite story is how he taught Rita Hayworth how to smoke a cigar for a movie. Besides a great store and personal history the store is pretty awesome. When you walk on the right are Cayuga pipes created by the pipe shop. They are priced very good and are great starter and experienced smokers. There are also a lot of what i call the show pipes. They are all really cool and really expensive. On the left side of the store is a giant wall of pipes that you have to go in to look at yourself. Its covered with all sorta things from really cool sophisticated pipes to crazy plasticy things. They sell great tobaccos from all over the world. They make their own tobaccos too. All smell great and smoke nice. Personal favorite right now is Fisherman’s Special. They have more than just pipes too. They have a walk in humidor packed with cigars, a large selection of cigarettes, and smokking accesories. If you are new to pipe smoking they will give you lesson and some good tips to make sure you enjoy your first puffs. Staff is always helpful and selection is huge. Its a fun place to go to and just look around.
