First area mechanic quoted me $ 1550. Al’s charged me $ 265, which makes me depressed about the human race, but thank you Al’s. Dropped car off in early afternoon and picked car up in late afternoon. No problems.

Al’s have been used by my family for at least the 26 years I’ve been alive. I never worry about being charged for something that I didn’t need or being scammed at Al’s– recently when my check engine light came on I was sure it meant bad news for my car an $$$ situation.
I brought it in, and a few hours later received a call that my car was ready. They said the gas cap wasn’t tight, and as a result throwing something off in the car, making the check engine light go on. Total cost=$ 0. Unheard of.
I no longer live locally, but continue to use Al’s Preferred Auto when ever an issue with my car arises.
