I was pleasantly surprised by A&M. They promote themselves as a pizzeria, but they offer much more than a slice. They have a menu full of Italian dishes, deserts, and broasted chicken(yes, broasted). Broasted is a lightly fried chicken that has a thin, crispy skin. It comes out hot and fresh. It’s delicious! The broasted chicken comes with potato and fresh rolls. The pizza is great too. I got a small pepperoni and there was plenty to share. An excellent brick oven pizza with a thin crust, soft on the inside and crispy on outside, not an overly yeasty taste. The sauce is tangy with a hint of sweetness. The cheese and pepperoni had a minimal amount of grease. Overall, excellent and flavorful. For desert, I went with the cannoli. A cherry on each end, drizzled with chocolate, it was creamy cannoli heaven. The food was great, the service was wonderful, and the only reason I’m giving 4 out of 5 stars is because the dining area is kind of noisy. Other than that, A&M is highly recommended.

This place was close to our hotel so we gave it a shot, we ordered some salads, some pizza and all was delish. It wasn’t super greasy, the ingredients seemed fresh and they were great waitresses to help our rather large table. We were in town for a wedding so not sure if we could go back there, but if we do I will make my way back.

Their house pizza is a must! The fresh Mozzarella, the olives… All make a perfect bite! The salad was good , And save room for the cannolis!

Tried every sub. Love them all! The cheeseburger sub is divine. The bread they use is amazing. My favorite place to get take out in town. Never fails. They deliver too which is plus. I highly recommend.

Wow! My friend and I were literally driving around aimlessly and accidentally found this place so we stopped in for a slice. It is New York style pizza and absolutely fabulous! The cookies look amazing though we didn’t try any. When you look at this place it doesn’t appear to be anything special, but the food was excellent! I will definitely be bringing my family back for some of this deliciousness!

This pace is FILTHY. Dust covered rat hole. The photos on the wall and the horrible décor looks like it is covered with authentic 9 – 11 twin tower dust and soot! Clean this place up!!!

I love A&M. The food is great, the people are great, and the atmosphere is great. Best and only Italian place in Florence.

We have been eating at A&M since its opening over 20 years ago. Over the years we’ve accumulated many family memories here; graduations, birthdays, retirements and just regular old family dinners. The place has became part of us and always has a comfortable, friendly and safe(it’s a cop hang out) atmosphere. As pointed out by other reviewers over the years the food ha been sometimes inconsistent but I can tell you that for the last year or so it has been top notch. If you want a place to sit and visit while enjoying a good meal this is your place!

Not bad pizza but very pricey for what you get. Wings just just ok, Not very crispy and severely lacking in sauce.

One of the best buffalo chicken sandwiches I’ve ever had! So so good! The staff was friendly and the lunch wait was quick.

The food is good, but it is inconsistent. The problem is in the sauce, sometimes it’s salty, other times it’s sweet. It’s hard to know what you are getting and I don’t like that. Overall pretty good food, the specials are reasonably priced and the menu is very diverse. The environment is traditional pizza parlor, the staff although friendly, took a long time to take our order.

Best(only) Italian food in Florence, AZ! Pretty good food, decent casual setting. Good attentive service. Alcohol is kinda expensive, but no biggie. The bread sticks have lots of good garlic. All in all, a good meal in a small town.

Wow! If you are ever in Florence Arizona or just passing thru, this place is definitely worth the stop. Great thin crust pizza! I didn’t get a chance to try their desserts but I will next time for sure.

Italian oasis in the desert. Pleasantly surprised for authentic East Coast pizza, Italian imported beers and homemade Tiramisu. Definitely a MUST if ever in Florence, Arizona.

We occasionally find ourselves going through Florence. My wife loves their fresh baked breads and I find their pizza is really pretty good. We’ve been there three times and the service has been pretty slow, but not bad for a small family business.

Came to Florence, AZ for a wedding and needed something to eat before the big night. The pizza was decent, nothing too special about it. We ordered an extra large vegetarian pizza with a Caesar salad. The salad had red onion in it which I found weird. The pizza sauce was sweet, but I found the pizza dough to be a bit undercooked. The large salad is good for two or three to spilt. Overall, if you really really want pizza and can’t wait till you get to Phoenix and just happen to be in Florence Arizona then this is the place for you!

ExWe were hungry & passing through Florence my friend ordered a dozen wings & we ordered a medium pizza but we were hungry so we asked for bread sticks to munch on while we waited on our food. Wings came out first and my friend enjoyed them. Bread sticks showed up when the pizza did. So much for having them to munch on. The bread sticks were raw in the middle and burnt on the ends. The pizza was just okay. I have a suspicion the chicken came out of a can & the bacon looked like the precooked stuff you get at the grocery store. The crust was good but the sauce was almost too tomato flavored. Not enough spices, sugar or flavorings added. Bottom line. I could have made better pizza at home. Oh & we had to ask for refills and the waitress never came back to ask how we were doing after the food showed up. Won’t visit again. $ 45 for a medium pizza, 12 wings, 2 sodas a order of bread sticks. Wasn’t worth it.

I feel like living in Florence, I have to like A&M, but the more I think about it, they’re pretty average. The pizza is delicious. A little greasy, but what pizza isn’t? They all are pretty friendly in there, I haven’t had much in the way of bad experiences with the customer service. The thing that really gave them 2 stars was that they took my favorite food. Not just at A&M, but my favorite food from anywhere, off the menu. I’m a vegetarian, and the best veggie burger I have ever had is from there. I had to of eaten it at least once a week. Every time I went in, they would tell me I was the only one who ate it. It would make sense for them to take it off the menu if that was true, but by removing it from the menu, they have lost my service entirely.

While headed home to Florence Italy a talented chef got a bit lost and ended up in Florence AZ. This is my hypothesis of how this great place came to be. I for one did not expect to find such a great place so far off the beaten path. Walk in and you find a counter to order at and a classic menu board full of Italian classics from pizza, spaghetti, lasagna, salads and more. I went with the classic two slices of cheese($ 2 each). The crust was ideal soft with a slight crispness to the bottom, the sauce was great full of flavor and not sweet or acidic. The cheese was nicely melted however I would have liked it to be cooked slightly more. My coworkers dishes came with a roll on the side which I tried part of. It was very soft, and great. They also enjoyed their meals. They do have a $ 5.992 slices of peperoni and a fountain drink deal. They also have a small selection of items to buy near the entrance, artisan pastas etc. There is also a coffee bar and nice patio here too.
