The online reservations did a bang up job taking care of my reservation. When we arrived, the front desk was competent and helpful. We immediately took in the hot tub and instantly started to relax from our day on the road. Fabulously large room, with a landscape format — the bed faced the window. This is one of the most lovely & enjoyable rooms we have had on this trip & you will enjoy your stay here. Beautiful

Booked a king with pull out sofa. It’s a shoe box room. Sofa bed was broken so we had to put two roll always in the room. No space to move. No other rooms available & too late to cancel the reservation to leave. Stuck for one night. Also, the bathroom is small & the room is mediocre overall. The only good was the young man at the front desk who did everything he could to rectify the poor conditions. Expecting a credit to the bill.

Booked two rooms here for my family of 5. When I arrived, I was told the rooms were neither adjoining nor adjacent. Seriously? Then was told they were full so nothing they could do. I was really upset because my kids aren’t exactly old enough to stay completely on their own. When they realized I was upset, they moved us so we were adjacent, still not adjoining. Really? Offered us free breakfast(which was not good at all). It was just not a good overall experience for a Marriott. Won’t stay here again. Ever.

One of a couple overnight stays while road tripping, Florence is not your ideal pitstop, but I have family in this part of town, and needed a crash pad. Courtyard Marriott was a good pick. The hotel is around a shopping plaza, food spots and close to the highway. The building/grounds are well maintained, check-in was easy, the rooms were clean… truly no complaints, If ever I was back in the area, I will be staying here. The rates when i traveled were right in my ballpark, of course, the dates make a difference, as well as if there are any conferences going on. And yes, companies are actually holding their conferences in Florence, SC. The parking lot was full when we stayed.

Property is tired. Price is quite a bit out of whack with the other hotels available(Hilton Garden Inn right across the street was $ 30 a night cheaper). Room was quiet, spacious and clean. No free breakfast as a gold member? The horror! If I come back to the area, it’s not going to be this hotel that I park myself.

Well, the property is old. The staff is very friendly and the food is typical Courtyard fare. So, nothing unusual there. Here’s the problem: There is no water pressure on the third floor, so no shower in this room. In the big picture this is a minor inconvenience. First world problems and all, I get that. Today, however, for us, this is a major snafu. What kind of hotel has a non-functioning bathroom? Of course we are being moved to a different room where presumably the shower works and the fridge door isn’t dangling open. Stay tuned for updates. Regardless, we won’t be back. Take my advice and stay at the Hilton Garden Inn across the street.

Not the newest property. There were spiders in the room. The kids loved the pool. Florence in general seems to have gone downhill a bit since the last time I stayed. The rollaway bed was very comfortable as was the king.

Very pleased to see top layer comforter is washed as part of each room turnover. This is worthy of 3 stars. Staff is very accommodating and friendly. Café and lounge is great for a quick bite before heading back on the road.

Road tripping with the wife, we pinpointed the Courtyard in Florence as our halfway point and splurged on a room with a jacuzzi because, hey, we deserve to treat ourselves once in a while. We enjoyed ourselves. The room was clean, the staff courteous and smiling, the jacuzzi a lovely diversion(needless to say, we never even touched our flat-screen tv, although it is a nice inclusion). The décor in the lobby was pretty sleek, modernized; it felt like a stab at appropriating the overall feel of a swankier hotel, which is nice. We ordered breakfast from their Bistro in the morning(complete with Starbucks coffee); it was delicious, and the circular booths with individual flatscreen tvs were a nice touch.(It was a more tranquil breakfast than we’re ever able to rustle up at home, where I jostle my bones back into position and traipse to the kitchen, farting with every step, for a cup of store-brand swill coffee and perhaps a hastily scrambled egg if I’m feeling perky.) Minor quibbles: the Bistro, which serves cocktails, closes real early. Due to the lack of vending machines, we purchased a few soft drinks from the front desk, and were charged pretty exorbitant prices for doing so. And while the coffee provided in the room seems like a godsend, be prepared to bring your own fixin’s or enjoy it black, as we were granted one sugar, one Splenda, and one packet of non-dairy creamer to make two cups palatable. Also, severely small jacuzzi, so be short. All in all, though, we had an extremely pleasant stay here. Helpful staff, plenty of things within walking(or brief driving) distance — oh, and the tranquility. It was so wonderfully quiet during our stay.

Ok, not the best I’ve stayed at but there isn’t much to choose from.
