Mathnasium of Florence specializes in teaching mathematics from 2^nd grade through Calculus. By identifying and addressing gaps in a student’s math skills, a child will gain confidence with math, which translates to improved performance in school. We can gear the individualized learned plan to enhance your child’s math experience whether they are behind, ahead or just need some extra test preparation.

History

Established in 2009.

Don Walter opened Mathnasium of Florence after 24 years experience as an engineer and quality control manager. Too many students were shying away from their career desires because they were «afraid» of the math requirements. When math «makes sense,» many of the fears are eased. Since opening, Mathnasium of Florence has helped over 500 students improve their skills and confidence in math, and prepare them for successful futures.

Meet the Business Owner

Business Owner

Don and his wife Fran have lived and raised their two kids in Florence since 1984. As a youth leader in church, he saw first hand how math frustrated many students, and affect their career dreams. After much prayer, he felt that he could help these students, and found the value in the Mathnasium Method, which focuses on «number sense» thinking and analysis. He opened the doors in July of 2009 and has enjoyed helping his «family» of students succeed.
