Only gets 3 stars because this is the typical chain restaurant«did you save any room for desert?», that being said, I have always hated this particular location, until recently. My wife was complaining for some of their bland soup, so we got carry out and I got the Nashville Hot chicken tenders, they were great, not only that but somebody also double checked the order and we got all the extras they usually forget(rolls, butter, topping for a baked potato, etc). So while I hate chain restaurants I at least respect the effort the employees made and their new menu item is pretty good.

i’ve had a wonderful time, but this wasn’t it. Prime rib special was dry, salads came before the appetizers, and I never did get an ice tea refill.

From the terrible over priced food, to the socially awkward and terrible service from our server Mary, I most definitely will not be returning. Thought it was a safe quick choice for lunch. Boy was I wrong!

Omg! Server was so rude and nasty she was slamming my tea glass down on the wood table we ended up getting up and told the manager and then we left!

I’ve increased my STARS!!! Due to the food was sensational. My wife and I had dinner with her Ex-husband to talk about there son. So I was craving for the bread/rolls and the loaded potatoes soup. So waitress brought out hot piping new fresh rolls… yummmmy. Then brought out the loaded potatoes soup, oh my, it was awesome. So I ordered ribeye rare, with mash potatoes. My wife ordered the salmon with asparagus and sweet potatoes. Her ex ordered to cowboy steak, he liked it. I drank 2 tall beers Samuel Adams. Overall the dinner was sensational. Oh I forgot FREE pie Wednesdays. The Pecan pie and the silk pie was incredible, I’ll be back for Free pie Wednesdays.

Always have great service at this location. The food comes out quickly and of course the rolls alone are worth going. Take advantage of deals like Free Pie Wednesday. If you have an issue flag down the manager Scott and he will fix it for you.

Just lost our business because of your smokey atmosphere. So unhealthy and ruins your reputation. Boone County sucks.

Went to this location for my sisters birthday. It was dinner time do the place was getting crowded but that did not effect the quality of our service in the slightest. We had Jeff as our server and he was excellent. Polite, funny, very helpful and did not get frustrated or rude when my mom had a couple questions about an app coupon. The food was great came out fast for how busy they were and it was delicious. Cooked perfect, all hot. A great experience.

Came here for lunch on a Thursday. The hostess greeted my husband and my self and seated us right away. Our server came shortly after to get our drink orders. She took our food order when drinks were delivered. Our food was delivered by someone other than our server. My husband had the soup and salad. He enjoyed that the soup was HOT, something most restaurants seem to neglect. I had the fish and chips. The fish was quite good. What I found disappointing was that our server didn’t check on us when our food was delivered. A quick«Can I get you anything else» would have been nice. I ended up going to another couple’s table to get ketchup and did without malt vinegar. They would have received 4 stars had it not been for that.

The food was good and I have no complaints but the restaurant and restrooms were not clean. Not real dirty just not kept up with. Service was ok, they seemed to have enough staff but lots just wondering around and not keeping up with clearing tables.

We went right in & seated. We were told our waitress would be right there. A waitress passed by our table three or four times & never acted like we were there. Ten minutes & four passes our waitress(Kim) came by to get our drink order. When she brought our drinks, ten minutes later, we told her we were ready to order. She told us she would be right back. She came by us to serve other customers. By this time a couple of other customers in a different section had their meal. We hadn’t even ordered yet. We finally ordered by haven’t gotten any bread yet. I ordered the steak(medium) & shrimp with a bake potato(butter on the side) & a salad with ranch dressing on the side. My husband ordered a rib eye(medium rare) french fries & coleslaw. Finally, we got our bread when she brought me my salad. My husband’s drink was low & he asked for another. She said she would get him another. A runner brought our meal. My husband ask for another drink & the runner gladly got him another. My steak was very well done, in fact it was very tough & used the cocktail sauce to make it eatable. The waitress came by several times but never asked how our meal went. We were about halfway done with our meal & our waitress brought my husband another drink & said she would bring me another tea. We were done eating, in fact I stacked my dishes, The waitress came by & stated did we want dessert, I said no but we wanted the bill & to see the manager. Brian, the manager, brought us our bill & asked what if everything was ok. I explained what had happen & Brian picked our bill & said he would talked to Kim & the cook. We were very surprised that Brian paid our bill. We will go back as I really enjoy to O’Charley’s

This was the WORST dining experience I have had in my entire life. We were seated by the kitchen(aka the worst spot in the house because it’s noisy and people are walking by constantly), but that was just the beginning of the madness. That was at 7:30PM. Our waitress came and took our order in a decent amount of time, then came back with our drinks and our bread maybe 5 minutes later. My husband ordered a burger, and she never asked how he wanted it cooked. We got our appetizer within 5 minutes, so so far, no real damage done. 20 minutes and an empty bread basket later, the waitress came back, refilled our water cups by reaching over the decorative hate around the seating area(didn’t even bother to walk around), and asked us if we wanted more bread. We said yes. By that point, it was 8:00, and we had seen other people seated after us were already eating their food. She said our food would be ready soon. At 8:30, we still had not received the second basket of bread she promised OR our food. We could see the waitress standing in the kitchen just talking with other waitresses. Everyone in our area was served and paying for their food, and we were still sitting there staring at the plates of hot food coming out of the kitchen. Finally at 8:50, an hour an 20 minutes after we were seated, my husband found another waitress, asked if we could pay for our appetizer and just leave. Suddenly our waitress reappeared with our food — our COLD food. My husbands burger was cooked well done(remember, she never asked how he wanted it cooked and this was not what he wanted) and my potato soup was clumpy and cold. We asked for to go boxes and left. She never apologized, and she didn’t get a tip. Seriously, the worst service I’ve had in my entire life(and I’m not one to complain). We went home an hour and a half after we arrived hungry and angry. Don’t go here.

This location is horrible! Waited forever for a table, only to be sat right next to an obnoxious table. A lady was loudly complaining over and over, and I soon found out why. Food was horrible, service was horrible. Now, everyone knows O’Charley’s is known for their potato soup; it’s the best! Until our last experience… one bite and my husband and I about lost our dinner. It tasted SO disgusting, extremely salty; as if someone dumped a huge salt block in the batch. I think the salt burnt out tastebuds and left a lasting impression of how nasty this O’Charley’s is. My husband puts salt on everything and for him to think it was awful and too salty, that’s saying A LOT! When we told our waitress she got the manager, only for him to pass the message to us, «well that’s how we always make it…» are you kidding me!!! To not even acknowledge someone clearly didn’t make the soup right; told the waitress to taste it and even she thought it was nasty. We will NEVER be going back because of how gross the soup was and how horrible our experience was… Sad because we used to love going there…

The menu is boring, but the food is acceptable. Stick with something simple like the chicken tenders, or maybe the house salad. The bar is not well stocked, and the beer selection is awful. A suggestion to add craft beer was met with a shrug by the manager. A good cleaning would also be recommend.

Good value for money. I gave four stars only because of their hospitality and courteousness. The bartender was very friendly and professional. I ordered Chipotle Chicken fingers and they were sweeter than I expected. She offered to change it. That was so nice of her. Good service earns a lot of points.

Disgusting and full of smoke. I can’t believe any restaurant would be so primitive and cater to the lowest common element. When we walked in, smoke literally rolled out the door. We turned and walked away. There are a plethora of great restaurants in the area that don’t smell like a welfare recipient’s mobile home.

This was my first visit to O ‘Charley’s. I wasn’t expecting much but was very pleasantly surprised. I had the chicken tenders for an appetizer and they were delicious! I had a very fresh and tasty salad before getting my 12 oz steak with mashed potatoes. I was very happy with the flavor of my perfectly cooked medium rare sirloin and mashed potatoes. Our server was very attentive and friendly which always makes a dining experience more enjoyable. I even got an amazing apple pie with a huge scoop of vanilla ice cream for dessert! Loved it! Definitely see why this place stays open. Great food, service and value. Try it if you haven’t already.

A typical O’Charley’s. We had very good service, and good food. The atmosphere… Kentucky still has smoking sections, so this isn’t the restaurant’s fault. But when we walked in, we were slammed with the stale stench. Seated in the non-smoking section, it was still unpleasant. I am so glad more places are banning smoking from restaurants, at least– the smell intrudes on the dining experience. Ah, well. The food was okay, and we didn’t stick around. We had a small meal– Sweetie had a steak and mashed potatoes, the cowboy ribeye I believe. I had… well, I don’t remember, so it must not have been particularly bad or good. Or maybe I was distracted by the smell. Anyway, worth a visit, but hold your nose. Again, not this place’s fault, maybe it’s true of most Kentucky restaurants.

THANKYOU O’Charley’s for honoring Veteran’s Day by giving away a very delicious meal. I chose the Cowboy Sirloin with crispy onion on top of bacon smashed potatoes. The sirloin was perfect and the potatoes were amazing. And of course their MOUTHWATERING dinner rolls are always a highlight. Mmmm We’ve went to other places on Veteran’s day but this was my favorite so far. I think more highly of them for supporting the troops too. The server was very friendly and went beyond to do a good job. We appreciated that. We look forward to going back and having the same meal again and at 9.99 it’s a great deal.
