BEWARE when shopping at Roby’s Florence. The staff is very interested in helping you with a purchase, but their customer service ends there. Oct.2015 I took delivery on 2 custom order {Stanton} chairs which arrived with an identical factory defect on the arms. I didn’t call Roby’s when I discovered it because their invoice reads, «all special order deposits are non-refundable» and«all sales final». I felt I had no recourse. Then Roby’s started airing commercials–«20% discount on custom orders» ‚” financing available”, «storewide sale», and the kicker«10 day return period no questions asked». Non of these was ever mentioned to me. I went into the store at the end of Feb.2016 and they setup an appointment to come out and check the chairs. A couple of days later an employee from Roby’s came with his phone camera to take pictures for his store manager. I understood next the manager would be calling in a few days with the result. The employee called back to say the manager determined it was WEAR and TARE, therefore nothing could be done for me. Beware customer, this store does not understand the concept of customer service, nor the difference between ware and tare and a well built product.

The Florence store has the worst customer service ever. We ordered a sectional sofa(Stanton). Upon the delivery guys(they were great) unpacking; leg scratched, bolt on back not padded, cushions sewn so tight the edge were rippling. Sent back. Roby’s sent to the Lincoln store for replace. Delivered again; cushions not addressed and now entire side piece busted. Canceled repair and placed whole new order. But with each issue no one would place a phone call to me for update or apologies. Until I phoned and asked for«manager» then a got a phone call back. Gave me $ 100 off for my time and trouble. This week I phoned to ask how to spot treat, guy who answered said he’d contact Stanton and get back to me. He did not. So my husband dropped by the store, explaining our request to Andrea who told him she’d manager phone us back. Guess what? No phone call. They take your money and that is the last they want to hear from you. Will never go back this store. We’d earlier bought a mattress at the Newport store with no problems whatsoever. The entire staff in Florence needs to take a few Customer Service 101 classes.
