Sperry’s Florence

My wife and I ate at Sperry’s for the first time tonight. We had such a wonderful experience. The ambience of the restaurant was perfect for our date night and the service was incredible. Our server never let our drinks run out, was very knowledgable about the menu and made great recommendations. We both got steaks (ribeye and filet) and they were cooked perfectly and were delicious. Our food was delivered to our table in a timely manner and we did not have to wait a long time for our table to be cleared and our check to be delivered. I will definitely be back to Sperry’s and I highly recommend it.

Went to Sperry’s to celebrate a family members birthday last night. The night started with the hostess caring more about two male visitors not there to dine than seating us. The glass wear and plates were dirty with specks of food. When we asked for other glasses the server rolled his eyes. We ordered a $ 17 appetizer that came with 4 shrimp. The salad bar wasn’t stocked. We had to ask for drink refills even before we got our dinner because it was taking a very long time for med rare steaks. Our entrees left much to be desired. When asked if the restaurant does anything for birthdays our server told us Sperry’s didn’t do that kind of thing. So don’t go there to celebrate. It also took a long time to get a to go box, our check and for the card to be ran. Dales was always so fantastic every single time we went but this is our 2^nd bad experience at Sperry’s so I felt the need to leave a review. Won’t be back and I hope others choose other steakhouses in the area instead. Wish I could blame it on a busy weekend night but we were the only table in our area on a Thursday night.

Steak was good full of flavor staff was nice. Did have to wait to get refilled drinks but overall a nice restaurant

My husband took me here for our anniversary and I must say I was really impressed. I ordered the jumbo lump crab cakes and he ordered a big juicy steak. Everything we ordered was cooked to perfection. I highly recommend the French onion soup! I’m not a big soup eating person but I will continue to order that soup at every visit we make. The ambiance was set very nicely with dim lit lighting and candles on every table. Very romantic type feeling. We will definitely be returning in the near future.

Extremely expensive. Very poor service. Salad bar sloppy not kept up and very unappetizing. This was a first and last visit and sorry that we even went.

The food is great and the cocktails are awesome! It’s a bit expensive but sometimes they have 50%off specials, and that’s when the food is totally worth the price!

Had the bacon wrapped filet, wedge salad and baked potato. Steak was cooked perfect and sides were delicious. The staff were very courteous and kept our reservations right on time. I will def be back to experience this again.

Pleasantly surprised. Went for the first time during the restaurant’s one year anniversary specials. Filet was fantastic. Asparagus was so-​so. Will try something different next time. Carrot cake for dessert was delicious and the portion size was huge. Overall a good experience.

Went for our anniversary dinner and it was amazing! The atmosphere is much better than the old Dales and in my opinion so was the food. My wife got the bacon wrapped filet with bleu cheese and it was cooked to perfection. Her loaded potato was also big and filling. I got the prime rib and twice baked potato. One word describes this… AMAZING. The horseradish sauce had a nice kick that complemented it perfectly. The staff was attentive and we had a great time. We will be back!!!

Great food, great service! Filet n grits are awesome, Lobster tails are awesome and stuffed mushrooms are you guessed it AWESOME!

I seated myself at the bar because there wasn’t a hostess at the stand when I entered. After a few minutes waiting I was asked what I’d like to drink. After several minutes I was finally told they were out of that beer so I ordered tea. I was never giver a menu and finally borrowed one from the woman seated near me. After putting it back roughly 10 minutes passed before I was asked if I’d like to order.
Ribeye Pittsburg rare.
My steak was wholly undercooked (and that’s a feat with Pitt rare). It was cold in the center (I mean frigid). I asked for it to be taken back and just cooked medium rare. When it came back out it was indeed a nice rare/​med rare. My biggest issue is having to return food. I detest doing it, and I wasn’t happy that no manager came to ask about it or address it as should be standard practice at a nicer place.
It wasn’t horrible, but it was far sub par from my last visit where I’d rate 4 stars. George’s in Tuscumbia is too close for me to ever chance this much money here again.

We were planning on going to the 360 Grill for my parent’s 60^th wedding anniversary dinner, but it was booked, so asked for their recommendation and they said Sperry’s. I didn’t know what to expect, but I was very happy with EVERYTHING — food and service. All seven people in our party had a great meal and dessert. It was my first time eating here, and I will be back soon. We all ordered a variety of things and then shared and the seafood was prepared as perfectly as the steaks. Bravo!

This is one of the best steak houses in the south eastern United States. Exquisitely tasty, a charming staff, and a legendary salad bar. The place boasts a garlic ranch salad dressing that leaves this writer drooling by its memory. The jumbo shrimp appetizers are marks of perfection. The steaks are so good (rib eye, tenderloin) that it is unspeakable. In fact, it would be inappropriate to describe them here. I can assure you that this restaurant is one for the ages.

First time I ate here since new owners took over. Mixed review. No longer the dark, musty, atmosphere of old Dales with it’s red coated waiters. Some of the old crew was there but many new faces. Part Sports bar, part run of the mill restaurant. New faces abound. Gone is the dish of mints on the way out the door. Menu has also changed. In old days, no need to even look at one. Now new dishes as well as the htred salad bar. The presence of a salad bar immediately drops my estimation. I want to be served. Caesar salad was good, 8 oz Filet was excellent and cooked to perfection, without the Dale’s sauce. Fried sweet potatoes were hot and tasty. Ordered two Maker’s on the rocks, first was adequate but second one contained very little Maker’s and was $ 1 cheaper than the first which was over priced to begin with. For the price they charge (around $ 9) I expected a better drink. Will go back if someone else is paying but next time I want a steak I’ll be off to George’s across the river. More character and better bar!
