I’ve lived in Florissant my entire life and have spent lots of money at this store. I will continue to do so because it’s extremely convenient. But I never look forward to going. The men that work in the store are really condescending. Whenever I have questions, it seems like I’m bothering them because I’m too dumb to figure it out. I went in to buy some pvc pipe adhesive for my husband when our basement flooded and couldn’t figure out which, of two options, I would need. I found someone who wasn’t busy, and explained the situation and asked which he would recommend. His answer. «How should I know.» I looked at him kind of funny and he picked them both up, looked at them, and put them back on the counter and pointed to one and said, «That one.» This is pretty typical of my experience here. :(

The ‘be-all’ and ‘end-all’ of hardware stores in North County. If you need it, they have it, whatever it may be. Big box chain stores do not always have what you need. They certainly can’t help you the way these people do. I’ve gotten replacement parts for most everything in a house from them at some point. Have a leaky faucet, they have the washer. Need a new heater element for your water heater, they have it. Bring them your torn window screen, they’ll replace it(or show you everything in the store you’d need to do the job yourself.) In fact, they live to give advice to folks, walking the aisles and asking customers directly. Tell them what you’re trying to do, they’ll make it easier to do. They have every type of nut and bolt and screw imaginable, lighting, electrical, lumber, outdoor, tons of widgets and gadgets and, well you get the idea. Plus, this is a local company with many local employees.
