Steak’n Shake

The burger was cold and hair on my fries… come here ALL the time, service was absolutely horrible this time.

I come to this location about once every other month. I try to drive-​thru, but when there is more than one person in front of me, I opt to go inside and hope to beat the drive-​thru line.
If you are in a hurry, do not eat here. If I wait in line at the drive-​thru, it will be 10+ minutes. If you go inside to eat, you will stand at the front door waiting to be seated for about 5 minutes when someone finally notices you. If you order at the register to get your food to go, you will wait 15+ minutes.
Today I ordered a shake and soup (I don’t know why, but I just love their vegetable soup). The shake was ready in less than 5 minutes, but the soup took another 10 minutes. I had to ask the cashier where my soup was when I finally got tired of waiting. The kitchen seems very disorganized. Not short-​staffed (because there were so many people behind the counter) but no one seemed to know what they were doing, or did not have any speed in doing their job. I got back to my office to eat and the soup was cold… not sure how soup that just sits around all day waiting to be ladled out can a) take 10 minutes to serve and b) be cold.
Make sure to ask for condiments, crackers, utensils, straws before leaving since they are not provided unless you ask apparently.

The star rating is specific to the Shake. Had a craving and stopped on a whim. Tried their holiday Cookie Butter shake and OMG… soooo good!
I went inside because the drive thru was very long. Waited about 10 min to get my shake, not too bad. From observing, I could tell there was a bit of disorganization, but nothing that a good team meeting couldn’t fix.

We stopped for a burger since my husband had never heard of the place. Service was a bit slow but we walked in about the same time as a lot of others. Only 2 servers on the floor. The place was clean and the service was pretty good. Food took some time getting out and I was getting a bit antsy (I was starved!). He loved the burger and I loved the fries. I had a fried chicken salad which was pretty good, plenty of fried chicken and our server brought me 2 dressings (I didn’t have to ask). Overall this is a good burger place (from previous visits to other states, I know they have great chili, too!).

They are so unorganized, under staffed, slow service, if you are hungry, eat else where.

Ummm… what the other reviewers said… I will add that the food was awesome. The floor was greasy and I happened to go with my Aunt and Uncle who are in their 80s. The entire time I was worried that one of them would fall.
