Berry Twist is a Floyds Knobs tradition! open for more than 35 years now, we specialize in quick lunches, sweet treats and family atmosphere. Our specialty is our homemade sherbet. With over 17 flavors of sherbet that rotate daily, there is always something for everyone!

History

Established in 1978.

Berry Twist opened in Floyds Knobs, IN in 1978.

In 2011 we moved from the original location right down the block to a more modern building. This move allowed for the addition of a drive thru to better serve our loyal customers.

Alright. I’ve been back to BT 3 times since my last review. I must say, they do have the best shakes. Obviously, they must be doing something right. They are always crowded. I love right near them and even when just driving by there is always a stream of cars in the drive thru and people out front. I’d have to say anytime I am craving a sweet treat or shake, Berry Twist is my place.

Maybe it’s because it’s in my home town? Maybe it’s because I went there on opening day over 30 years ago? Or maybe — it’s the soft serve sherbet. I was back in Floyds Knobs for a Floyd Central Alumni function and over the course of a 3 day weekend trip, we visited Berry Twist 4 times. Flavors were Blackberry Sherbet the first days and Lime Sherbet the last day. Follow them on twitter to get regular updates. Tutti-​Fruiti sherbet was my favorite growing up there, but it was very rare to find. Cones come in small, medium, and large — but a warning — cones are the same size, it’s the swirl height that changes — more ice cream in other words. If sherbet is not your thing — a «brown derby» or chocolate dipped cone is a great alternative. Even purchased some t-​shirts to bring back to NorCal — «Do the Twist»
