Asian Chef

Think Shrimp! Shrimp entrees have 5 large to jumbo sized shrimp (oxymoron) always perfectly prepared per a pint dinner order. Vegetables in the order are excellent — with variety and fresh and crunchy. I always do the Hunan Shrimp.
Also the chicken wantons (in wonton soup) are the best.

Very good delivery. Great Egg foo young w/​shrimp & mushrooms. Also had chicken w/​cashews, which was good.

We love Asian Chef! We’ve picked up food from there twice and really liked it. Tonight we had delivery (soooo fast!!). My wife only likes «mushroom» egg foo young, not the vegetable one. They were very accommodating and made it just the way she wanted it. Everything was so tasty. The woman on the phone was very nice and the delivery man was nice too. Overall a great experience and great food.

After ordering from just about every chinese restaurant around Whitestone I found that Asian Chef was by far the best. They are extremely nice on the phone. Perhaps I order from here too much because the woman answering the phone always recognizes me as the caller, but I feel a good establishment should remember their consistent customers. Their food is some of the tastiest around and unlike some others on Utopia it does not give me an upset stomach the next day. Their delivery drivers are always extremely fast and nice and never scoff at the tip I give them, unlike the driver at Big Apple. The only thing that upsets me is that I didn’t find Asian Chef sooner after moving into the neighborhood, but now that I have found them I’m glad that I can always get an amazing chinese meal.

If I could give this restaurant negative stars I absolutely would. We ordered delivery from this «establishment» at 9pm on Wednesday evening 2÷4÷15. The woman over the phone asked if we could meet the driver downstairs if he couldn’t find parking because «he is new».
Being that it had snowed a few days prior I could understand this request but I had ordered multiple times in the days prior from other restaurants and each time the delivery guy double parked on the snow banks and brought my delivery upstairs. I wasn’t utterly surprised however when this restaurant called me back to tell me that he «couldn’t find parking» and if I could «meet him downstairs». I threw on sweatpants and sandals and went to my building’s lobby to meet the delivery guy. After he seeing me in my lobby he gets out of his car, in the street, and holds up a bag imitating if I was the one who requested delivery. I nodded yes and waved him to the lobby door since I was wearing sandals and there was snow and ice out. He flailed his arms in disgust and walked back to his car as if to bemoan me for asking him to walk an additional 15 feet. He went back to his car and drove off.
I can’t review their food since their pompous and idiotic delivery boy didn’t even let me receive my order to critique the actual food but if their customer service is any reflection of their food I’m sure I would be just as disappointed in that as well.
Do yourself a favor and skip this rude and obnoxious restaurant and order from some of the locals like Bell Garden or Keilly’s.
Asian Chef is an Asian MESS!

On cold, rainy, bone chilling days when you want to call it day at like seven p.m., throw on sweats and watch a rented movie after grueling work day, I just call Asian Chef for delivery or swing by and pick it up.
The food is always good and kitchen is very clean. I’ve been ordering there for about eight years now and I love the food. Singapore noodles is one of my all time favorites as well as Buddhist Delight, I’m also a big fan of eggplant in garlic sauce. I like the soups too, especially the house soup. The delivery is fairly speedy too. I will continue to order from here. In short, reliable good take out.

When this place first opened up, the food was great. Now they seem to have new owners and it has become your every day basic chinese take out place. Nothing to rave about. Sometimes it is just a greasy oversalted mess. It really has been on a downhill slide. It is just average.

The first time i ate in this store i was very impressed. On the menu it stated the beef was usda flank steak and it caught my eye. Most menus dont tell what kind of meat it is. Anyways, place is great! very clean and very good. Delivery always comes promptly and of the 100x i must of ordered, only 1 time i was not happy. Overall, try it. its good.
