Not professional, greedy and expensive. DO NOT GO THERE AT ALL. It’s very hard to deal with the owner. not good at fixing Iphones!!!

Our teen aged daughter recently woke up one morning to find her lap top screen had mysteriously been cracked. Assuring us it had nothing to do with the fact she tends to fall asleep well after midnight with the laptop precariously placed on top of the comforter, we did a Unilocal/​Google search to find a local repair shop that would give us a decent repair/​replacement estimate.
It was because of the excellent Unilocal reviews for GatecomUSA we decided to make it our first stop in estimate shopping. It turned out to be the last stop as well.
An excellent, fully knowledgeable staff, fluent in English, Spanish and Korean, friendly and just very cool. The estimate was totally in line with what the google research said it should most likely be and was probably even a couple of dollars cheaper.
The turnaround was less than one day as the pretty large store had the exact screen in stock (older model HP-​so we were pleasantly surprised) and the workmanship was perfect.
The previous reviews are right on target and we’re extremely grateful we found this place. I cannot recommend GatecomUSA highly enough and even encourage people searching from out of the neighborhood to consider giving them your business if you don’t trust/​know your local computer repair place.
Just a totally professional and highly competent service with a very informal and personable staff. They will have any and all of our future computer business.

Very friendly staff and very good prices. I had trouble building my computer and brought it here and they were able to diagnose the problem very quickly. Plus they have a quick turnaround time of one day to help get my computer back to me. Would highly recommend.

I had issues with my wireless network setup they tested everything out and I am not exactly sure what they did but its been working much better now.

Finding a good computer repair shop can be a challenge. Finding an honest and reliable computer repair shop can be the same as finding a reliable mechanic or dentist. These guys are very knowledgeable, honest and reasonably priced.

My computer broke and I didn’t know what to do to fix it. I decided to go with a smaller shop versus talking to the manufacturer or a big store. It was a great decision and such a better (less stressful) experience. I was kept up to date on what what going on and it was easy to trust the guy running the shop because he is so nice and clearly knows what he is doing. I highly recommend this place!

When you’re looking for a local place to get your computer fixed, this is your place! (Come on, who really wants to go through the system of going to Best Buy or the big name stores to send off your computer/​laptop to another part of the country to wait a long time for it to be fixed). At Gatecom you can just bring your computer, get your estimate on the spot and pick it up when it’s done. They’re also very reachable by phone to check up on the status – the pros of going to a smaller locally owned store.
They’re reasonably priced. Not super cheap… but come on, it’s a computer store not a discount clothes store or something. I’m sure though that it’s more fairly priced than the bigger named stores.

I was looking to upgrade my MacBook and after calling a few local shops I decided to go with this one because they use higher quality parts. And I only want the best for my baby.
Also, you can’t go wrong with a company that’s been around for 17+ years.

In my opinion these guys are awesome they get the job done no matter what it is but they are expensive! I recommend people to go here if you are in need of quick repair.

It’s nice to have a local computer store that has fair prices and knowledgeable staff. It’s also kind of nice to have a local mom-​and-​pop operation you can support while also receiving the service you need.
I’ve had some old PCs and laptops that I have brought over there for repair, data retrieval after crashes, etc. I’ve also purchased headsets, flash drives and a Wi-​Fi adapter there. Everything always works as they say. They aren’t afraid to recommend a cheaper product that is effective. At least twice they recommended a cheaper product that got the job done. They are friendly, professional, easy to talk to and you can always get someone on the phone. I would have no problem telling people to go there to get their computer fixed or to pick up something you need for the computer. If you’re anything like me, you don’t want to have to wait 3 or 4 days for a desired peripheral or whatever to come in the mail. It’s quaint and pleasant taking my business over here. It’s also nice not to have to support one of the giants for a change :-)

Recently sent my computer in for diagnosis, quickly it was diagnosed as failed component. I purchased pieces from another store and dropped them off. Same day, they replaced all the parts in my computer and made it even better than before! They do AMAZING wiring work.

Love this place. The owner is always behind the counter (kind of looks like a Korean Andy Warhol) knowledgeable and ready to help. They have a very good selection, especially for a small business. The technicians are quick and skilled. Love the background music (it’s Bossa’n’Marley — a Bossa nova cover of Bob Marley classics). He seems to always play it and couldn’t tell me what it was. Nothing but positive experiences. Been going there for years and I wouldn’t go anyplace else

Today was my first time going to Gatecom. Last night my video card’s fan stopped working and I had stopped by this morning to see whether or not they would be able to repair it. While they do video card fan repairs, they didn’t have the right fan and wouldn’t be able to get it either. So I had told them that I would be back later in the day to consider a replacement video card. So I called them a little later to get some information on what they have in stock and get their website to take a look at and the lady on the phone (I should’ve gotten her name) was super helpful and walked through a bunch of the options with me as well as letting me know what they had in stock that might not be on the website just yet.
Fast forward a little and I pick up a new video card and take it home with me after the owner tells me that some power sources have trouble with that particular card… well I take it home and it doesn’t work. By that time it’s nearly 8 and they close at 9… so I call and ask if they can take a look at it for me… AND get it back to me tonight — which he says is possible, but doubtful.
So I bring it in anyway with about 45 minutes to go before they close. I decide to wait in the store and hope that they have some information for me so maybe I can take my computer home and fix it myself. So I’m chatting with the owner and his wife and 9:00 rolls around… and they keep working on it. They actually even apologized for not giving me my computer back or something to that affect and all I could do was tell them how great it was of them to stay late so that I could get my computer back. They ended testing each individual part of my computer to make sure that the problem was indeed my power supply and ONLY my power supply; replaced the power supply for me and rewired everything to the new power supply.
First off, their prices are competitive (parts, merchandise). Their service rates are awesome. If you take the work to geek squad they’d charge you at least 3x as much. What really made me write this review though is that I didn’t feel at any point that I was being upsold. The owner gave me a heads up beforehand with the issues that some people have with that video card and then they stayed late so that I could leave with my computer the same night. This is definitely a local business that I will be supporting in the future, it’s great to have amazing service and honest people at a local business like this.

Been shopping here for years. The prices are great, the owner and his wife are super friendly, and they’re extremely knowledgeable in their craft regardless of what random piecemeal homemade computer you need parts for/​help with. Great place, would give 6 stars if I could!
