History

Established in 2000.

At age twenty seven Patricia experienced a major turning point when her daughter, Melina, was born. «Her existence made me want to become a better person inside and out. I started exercising and eating healthier.

I took a trip to visit a good friend in California who taught me how to eat organic. I wanted to learn everything there is to know about health. I started juicing, drinking wheat grass and eating clean. I never felt better and wanted to share what I was learning with everyone I knew.»

That inspired Patricia to open her own healthy eatery and, with the encouragement and support of her family, Juice for Life became a reality in Bayside, Queens in February of 2000. With three locations now in operation Patricia hopes to open even more throughout the five boroughs and eventually expand beyond New York.

Business Owner

Patricia Bonnen, president and operator of Juice for Life, has made life-​giving cuisine,

culture and community her business!

Born and raised in Queens, NY, Patricia’s dedication and zest for life was inspired by people like

her mother, Luz, and step-​father, Jesus. Luz supported her seven children after her divorce by not

only continuing to run the family business but also driving a NYC cab to make ends meet. Jesus has

become, «my angel and my right hand.»
