K & R has the most knowledgeable mechanics around. Great prices and they do great work. I always have the mechanic Phil work on my car, he takes pride in his work and always makes sure the job is done right!

Went there for an inspection .they asked if I wanted an oil change as well … The good news is that they were prompt … But for obvious reasons … They didn’t do anything ! …they said they couldn’t change the oil filter because it was on too tight … I explained my previous mechanic had no issue and changed the filter … He suggested that my previous mechanic scammed me. and just told me he changed it .Well I noticed that the housing on the top of the filter is now cracked … Icing on the cake is they charged me for a full oil change with no filter changed and no sticker to indicate when to get the next change .update !!! They did not add any fluids (windshield or check radiator which was still low) I also asked them to check the pads as they were squeaking … No feedback … Back to my old mechanic I go … A little out of the way but very reliable and honest

Jack, the customer service person you will be dealing with, is a nice guy who has no problem taking advantage of you. I took my car there to fix a problem that caused a distinct noise coming from my front end. 400 dollars later, the noise is exactly the same. Not only did they fix a problem I didn’t have, they also overcharged me with several unnecessary labor hours. Very bad experience! The Better Business Bureau will hear from me.

Needed inspection and oil change. They did all that and changed my filters at cost of the filters (no labor) Great experience, honest, forthright. A little out of the way, but they fix your car quickly and professionally. Can’t ask for anything more, will definitely be back.

What a bad experience I had with these guys. They promised me a great job and that I would be satisfied. Well, for starters, they didn’t do the work Progressive Insurance paid for. K and R claimed they were going to replace a variety of parts, got paid for new parts, and then just sloppily repaired the damaged parts. They failed to blend the paint properly. Different shades of blue and spots everywhere. I complained and things got heated. Progressive’s adjuster must have been on the take because he signed off on everything. Whatever happened to the customer is always right, and K and R’s promises when I first brought the car in? I would never go back to K and R. Stay away.
It’s going to cost me quite of bit of money, out of my own pocket, to get things corrected at a genuinely professional auto body shop.

I can’t recommend K&R, and Jack, highly enough. We spent 7 years as car owners in Queens getting ripped off by a dealer’s repair shop… I wish we’d found K&R years ago! Careful, thorough work, fair and honest prices, and totally clear communication at every step… our repairs cost half of what I had expected, and the car is running better than ever.

K and R is the best of the best! Easy to deal with, reasonabl prices, and trustworthy. When they moved from FH to Middle Village, I thought I’d miss having them so close to home, but they are definitely worth the (short, but a little annoying) trip. The station is on the Q54 line, and an easy bus/​walk to Forest Hills.
Jack and his team are fast and courteous, and will never take advantage of you!
