If you havent been here until now consider yourself lucky! Don’t know about regular restaurant food but the party catering food was horrible. Most food was so sweet to the point where Your teeth hurt and tasted almost like u r eating dessert. Didn’t even provide regular kimchi!!! No wonder why they just closed and is changing to some other restaurant. Unbelievably horrible Korean restaurant it was. Really not even a half star. RIP

Bottom line: It’s way too pricy. They serve average quality Korean food for a higher price.
Sure, you can be paying for the high-​experience but overall it is not worth it.
However, I do believe ‘Kobe Hand-​rub Kalbi’ is only kalbi worth spending on. It is very lean and pretty much melts in your mouth. It is marinated perfectly and cut in perfect amount for those people who don’t like getting their fingers dirty.
Btw, usually Koreana is quiet… wonder why.

The food, the service, the décor, I can go on and on.
But I think it’s because my dad knows the people there.
And obviously, I only try to go with him.
My Korean’s fugazi so I refuse to come solo. Maybe I’ll have a change of heart.
Some slight issues though: if you park in the parking lot, you have to take 2 separate elevators from the parking lot. However, if you eat at Koreana, they do validate your parking. Gratis baby. But that validation machine can make you queasy. The location of the restaurant is also pretty poor. If you walk by it, you’ll never even know it existed. Then again, it’s in Flushing/​Manor/​Mall, or whatever it’s called.
Back to the food, there’s something in the quality of the kalbi that just makes it special. I have no idea what it is but me, my bro and my dad have claimed it the best kalbi in NYC.

Korean bbq tends to be so expensive. im so sad they took away the all you can eat… i was talking about it and the lady told me they stopped doing that :(Okay portion but prices are high. as always with korean bbq. It tasted pretty good, but i’ve had better obviously. I wouldn’t go out of my way to go to this… if i’m in the area and i want korean bbq. why not…
They need bigger glasses for water though, then they won’t have to keep refilling my water! I think they thought we were newbies. so they were cooking FOR us, but i like my meat not overcooked. so i took over and they left us in peace

I actually really like this place. I like how the Korean servers can speak Korean and Mandarin. It always baffles and confuses me, and stops me from talking about them in front of their faces. This place is so spacious and it’s never crowded. Their eel is mouth watering and a great portion. They cook your BBQ for you. Sushi is good. Bibimbap, soondubu. What more can you ask for?

Is probably the best and only way to describe this place.
The seafood noodle soup was not particularly good, the noodles were soggy and might i add with very little seafood (i counted 1 clam). The salmon teriyaki was overcooked. The seafood soondobu was very average.
For the price, it doesnt realli make sense to go here in my opinion, unless of course you become hypnotized by the sights of queens crossing…

Just went yesterday with a friend from out of town…
overall, it was okay. Food quality was good, I didn’t go for the unlimited BBQ and just went to for the pork bulgogi. My friend went for something, I forget the exact name on the menu, but it was basically squid with riceballs or something like that. Servings were huge of course, we always have this tendency to forget that most portions are more family-​style than small individual portions. Not that that’s a bad thing.
The bulgogi was okay… there was a lot of fat on it though, I remember chewing a piece and then spitting it back out because it was so chewy it was impossible to break down in my mouth.
The only thing I have to say is that I felt the waitress that was serving us was a little… off. like she was trying to be nice but it was kind of poorly forced and was more «*eyeroll*». A lot of the time I can’t help but feel it may be a race thing? I don’t know. LOL we tried to just order our things so she’d go away. Then when we realized she forgot our rice and told her, she was like «okay.». It was pretty awkward.
Unlike last time I came we were seated with an electric (?) grill, which was more comfortable than the coals they had us cook with last time. When it was time to go, we were allowed to take the food home (thank God), and so now I have a bunch of raw pork in my freezer to cook on my own time. I just need to cut off all the fat…
Don’t mind coming back a third time, but I wish that it felt less awkward being there.

I’ve been here twice and both times with my husband’s family, who also know the manager/​owner of the place so I will try to keep my review as unbiased as possible. The «perks» we received were a lot of extra free food, so I won’t mention these in terms of pricing but instead I will talk about how they taste.
The first time we came it was a normal weekend and the second time we came was on Christmas Eve. Both times we were able to get seated fairly quickly; the place is quite big with banquet rooms and private rooms.
There are not ventilation systems installed in the ceilings; instead, the vents are individually installed on each cooking surface, which was aesthetically pleasing and I think also added to the fact that we didn’t smell AS MUCH as we would have in other ceiling ventilated places since the smoke was immediately taken away as it rose from the cooking surface.
We’ve ordered different types of kalbi, seafood as well as the kobe rib-​eye and have never been disappointed. We’ve also had their pork ribs and cooked «noodles», which were really vermicelli, which were both VERY good. These items we got as a courtesy of the manager so I’m not sure of their names but I would definitely recommend them. The seafood pancake is your typical Korean pancake with minimal seafood and a lot of scallions, but still good nonetheless. Both times we’ve ordered the sushi and sashimi regular combination but on Christmas Eve they even included uni. This combination is HUGE and definitely enough for round 6 adults if you are also ordering a bunch of other things.
I didn’t particularly care for their banchan (small plates) as they were all veggie plates like daikon or kimchi or pickles. I prefer the tofu, fish cake, seaweed salad of other Korean BBQ places.
Service is quick and attentive and even though this is a Korean BBQ place, there are some servers that can speak Chinese, which is a plus for my non-​English speaking in-​laws.
The prices are on par with other Korean BBQ places in the area and for the atmosphere/​ambience, I’d pick this place over all the others. Plus they also validate your parking if you park in the Queens Crossing garage.

AMAZING service, we got a choice of either free Gyoza or Seafood pancakes. The Gyoza was better than average, freshly fried and extremely crispy.
The quality of the beef is one of the best I’ve had for a KBBQ buffet. Much leaner than Picnic Garden. Also the buffet includes Beef Tongue, which Picnic Garden do not.
Will def come back.

The place is huge and beautiful, their food is really good, but it seems that they rush you out even when the place is empty.
Their all you can eat bbq is great, but again you feel rushed, the meat is not bad but its not as much as you get in K-​town nyc.
I will try it again just because there is a huge parking lot outside.

I walked in here having my mind set for a plate of sushi, but my husband just couldn’t resist «unlimited» BBQ deal. We ended up ordering 2 portions of unlimited BBQ, and I was very pleased that I went along with the meat-​eater husband of mine.
The quality of meat wasn’t bad at all, Kalbi and Blugogi were tasty. I believe I’d tasted MSG on some of the marinade sauce, but overall I liked everything. The waitress was very pleasant and generous, she kept on bringing us more Blugogi, which we liked among all of the others, even we hadn’t really finished everything on our table. They also have some nice Japanese sake selection at the reasonable price, I was surprised that they even had my favorite sparkling sweet sake.

My bf loves Korean BBQ… So I went on a new venture and we’ve been trying out different places in the flushing area.
Koreana is a very nice place a little bit more upscale than the smaller BBQ places we’ve tried out… Very spacious, nice décor…
We went on a Sunday. I was a little disappointed at the service… it took at least 25 minutes for one waiters to take our order. And during dinner it was difficult to flag down a waiter for refills of water or to order another drink… I think they might have been understaffed and there was only 4 waiters in the whole restaurant
We both had the unlimited BBQ (b) which consisted of kalbi, bulgogi, beef, marinated pork, beef brisket, pork belly, marinated chicken, beef tongue. They gave us a variety of different side dishes. Everything was really good, well marinated and fresh. The amount of food we got for two people could feed a family of 6+ We left overstuffed.
Overall great place, hopefully next time the waiter service is better… I would recommend to a friend.

Usually Korean Barbecue places leaves your clothes smelling like the food you just ate but Koreana had great ventilation.
Of course the meat of choice was the Kalbi, and it was marinated great, the only problem I had with the kalbi was that the server insisted on charring everything. I had to often sneak some Kalbi off the grill because I prefer my meat on the rare side. It’s quite pricey but Korean barbecue tends to be up there in price.
I’ll take Picnic Garden anyday though since it is all you can eat, it’s just a bit out of the way on Northern Blvd.

First impressions when I entered the restaurant was the restaurant’s upscale ambiance somewhat unfit for the standard level around Flushing, let alone Queens. When my friends and I sat down and decided what we wanted, the waitress promptly took our order and brought us a generous amount of ‘banchan’. I orderd the yookgaejang, and both of my friends ordered ggorigomtang.
The prices were quite standard for Korean food around the area, and the taste was definitely near the higher end of the scale. Taking account of the fact that the restaurant is located in Main Street, we thought the taste would have been adjusted to fit the neighboring Chinese community. But I soon realized that they were true to their roots in providing real korean taste.
The waiters and waitresses were all friendly and prompt with our requests.
I think they’re quite big on marketing their «unlimited bbq», so I’ll probably try that out next time. :)

I guess my review wouldn’t be completely knowledgeable, as I haven’t tried the korean bbq here when it was Ahrheesoo or as it is now. However, I have had the food here!
Okay so the food is alright, I think the jigaes here are just okay, nothing special and I’ve definately have had a lot better. I’ve also had the fish, which is also alright. I think next time I should give the bbq a try so I can write a full review!

Formerly Ah Rhee Soo, this Korean BBQ joint is by far the most elegant I have been to. Still sporting the same décor, Koreana indulges you with a novel of a menu, and a great selection of BBQ. I went with unlimited A BBQ which comes with beef tongue, brisket, pork belly, bulgogi and assorted chicken. Well worth the $ 25 price tag. Our waitress was very attentive and had a great sense of humor and pretty much showed us how to make perfect BBQ.

This is review is only for the Unlimited BBQ:
I’ve definitely had better at Picnic Garden/​BBQ Village. I had a lot of hope for this place. The interior is beautiful and would be a great location for a date.
I had a groupon and intended to use it towards the buffet. And guess what, miracles of miracles… they accepted it. I’m sure I’d have much preferred to get Option B but since it seemed like an extensive amount of food, I decided not to… for the sake of my «GETSEXY2K11diet».
Option A included the slices of beef brisket, beef tongue and pork belly which are both unseasoned and I’m just not a fan of. I know you’re supposed to dip it in the oil/​salt mixture and they were lean cuts of beef. Lean = no flavor. Pork belly, I love your cousin Bacon but I no likey. So let’s just leave it at that.
It’s not like Picnic Garden/​BBQ village where you can get up and get whatever parts of the cow/​pig/​sea creatures you desire. They bring it out for you and ask you what you’d like to put on the grill first. I ended up sending back all aforementioned meat I didn’t like back which only really left us with spicy chicken, pork, and bulgogi.
I think we’d have been better off ordering off the Korean menu or sushi options. The Groupon was put to good use, our total was $ 25. The waitress was also really pushy and tried to hustle us to get the $ 35 option. –_​_​_​– Yeah ok, lady… try that with the non-​Asians. They speak Korean and Chinese, and definitely not a lot of English.

Anyway, there’s nothing different really, other than a changed menu and an added BBQ buffet option for 30something dollars.
This is my first time back there and I ordered the bulgogi bibimbap for like 18 dollars or something. That one pot is good for two.
It was filled all the way to the top of the big stone pot. I couldn’t even finish it. Though their side dishes could’ve been better. They don’t seem as fresh or had much variety or too appetizing to eat.
But other than that, my dish was great. The sauce that came with it isn’t too spicy. and customer was always the best (compared to most of the asian restaurants) and it’s what they’re known for apparently (reading reviews and going there tons of times).
again, the place is pretty big, second fl of queens crossing. there’s a vip room for a small group party. not sure if the piano is still there. would be kinda weird hearing bach while eating cabbage wraps.
but its a good atmosphere overall. good for family, friends, kids, couples, tourists, etc.
surprisingly it was near empty when i went. they don’t get a lot of business there.

The Sushi was so/​so … Soju was $ 12 a bottle …
Finished off with some Naengmyun (korean cold noodle dish) not good @ all … had a plastic aftertaste …
on the plus side Service was excellent …
One thing I enjoyed was the actual built-​in bbq grill … modern with a nice orange glow to it …

I tried Koreana at lunch time on a Friday and things worked out great. It’s located on the second floor of the Queens Crossing building, which is a new, 12 story building right on Main Street in Flushing. When I arrived I was greeted promptly and seated on the upper level, in a booth. A private and comfortable place for a single at lunch.
I eat mainly a vegan diet and the waitress helped me select an appropriate lunch. I went top of the line by selecting the Japanese Style Lunch Combo for $ 18.95. While waiting for my order to arrive the manager stopped by to be sure I was being helped. That was very thoughtful and shows a concerned approach to their guests.
The meal arrived on a large platter that had seven rectangular plates on it, one square dish and a round bowl. These contained a wide assortment of foods, from salmon and fried shrimp (both of which I wrapped up for my boss) and then several sushi and vegetable plates, a salad and a soup. Everything was delicious.
Oh, I forgot to mention, my waitress introduced herself as Esther Kim. She was an excellent waitress. Very thoughtful. Also, there were many items on the menu for $ 8.95 and it worked it’s way up to $ 18.95. The selection was huge with over 40 choices for lunch.
I definitely plan to come back and bring friends.
