I came here on a Friday night with a couple of my girlfriends. We got here around 7pm and it was still fairly empty. There were about 4 other tables filled. The place is fairly small on the inside and it was too chilly to stay out. We were lucky enough to snag a big couch seat(for the 6 of us). We had the fries to start and it was so good, we finished it in 5mins. We asked about the happy hour drinks. I had the pomegranate something? I forgot the name: c and my friends had behind the green door and Thai basil lemonade. I personally liked the Thai basil lemonade better than the pomegranate. And behind the green door was amazing! It wasn’t too strong, and it was perfectly sweetened. Also, our server was very nice! I can’t wait to go back again:)

Came here for the first time because Friends were raving about this spot. Not only were we warmly greeted, the waitress was super attentive. I’m Very picky with my cocktails(I don’t like drinks too sweet nor with too much alcohol) and she was on point with her suggestions. I got shiso beautiful, magnificent mule and behind the green door. Not only was the staff super nice and the cocktails delicious, the food was bomb! I was highly recommended the braised beef noodle soup which was the perfect amount of spice, the cucumber and hot oil appetizer(seemed like they were homemade pickled juicy goodness) and the fried chicken which was the perfect amount of salt(I wanted to order more) They close on 1am on weekdays which is unfortunate but it is in flushing and 2am on weekends. We stayed later than 2am on Friday night and no one pressured us to leave. If anything one of the owners stayed to chat with us about different types of wines he recommends. Definitely not your typical flushing bar. If I didn’t know I was in flushing, I would’ve thought I was in a hipster Manhattan rooftop lounge.

Leaf bar stands tall over all the other food places at One Fulton Square, literally. It has one of the best rooptop views in flushing without sacrificing space. They have a short list of Taiwanese small eats that covers the essentials like popcorn chicken, pork belly buns, and beef noodle soup. Probably not authentic but better than your typical bar fare. What shines are the drinks and luckily with the holidays around, there are interesting seasonal cocktails($ 12.00). Hot Toddy — A warm Japanese whisky cocktail packed with cloves and spices. Great for the cold. It hits you sharply with a intense sweet flavor but then mellows out smoothly in the end. Its a tad too sweet but worth a try(7⁄10) One of the holiday drinks I really liked was the chrysanthemum infused whisky. Barely noticed the chrysanthemum flavor but it did have more floral aromas and was smooth too. Also served with a giant ice ball so the drink won’t dilute as fast.(8⁄10) Hellcat — when you come here you gotta try their jalapeño infused tequila. If you are a Bloody Mary fan, you will like this too. Their is a good balance of jalapeño and tequila flavors but the kick really hits you in the throat on the way down.(8⁄10) Only thing that I had some issues with was the service. We requested a 6 person table but they sent us to a smaller table to wait. When we decided to just stay at the smaller table, apparently it made the waitress upset and our service included an extra dose of attitude for the rest of the night.

I love the atmosphere at this place. Not many food on the menu but the food is pretty good. This is a great place for couples to have some drinks and relax. Go at night very pretty view :)

How can you be advertised as a «full bar» when you don’t even carry coke??? Disappointed with the bar itself, perhaps it was just my luck that they were out of everything I wanted or they’re trying really hard to force their customers to pay $ 12 for their signature cocktails. Was told they didn’t have malibu, jäger, makers, COKE??? Anyway, tried the pomegranate martini which was a happy hour special. In one word it was light. It should be renamed pomegranate juice because thats literally all it was. Next tried the summer fling and sent it back after one sip. I was on the fence already about the egg white ingredient, but the overall taste was disgusting and watered down. Sent that back and ordered a glass of wine off a by the glass list. The pour was generous but when the bill came I was charged $ 13 for the wine instead of $ 11 which was the listed price… good thing I checked! Overall the bar has a nice vibe to it, great jazzy ambience and service was good, I can see why people like it here. However, beyond the superficial stuff it’s definitely not worth a $ 13 glass of wine that’s for sure. It’s only redeeming quality is the view of the manhattan skyline in the distance but you have to be sitting on the outdoor patio for that, and without heating that’s not going to be an option, just like ordering a Jack and Coke.

Unlike other rooftop lounges in Flushing, Leaf Lounge has a unique style and flair. The environment is relaxing, romantic and serene with the low lighting and warm string lighting. There’s a variety of outdoor and indoor seating, great for small or big groups. The indoor seating is a mix of high tables, low couches and regular wood tables. The outdoor seating has metal chairs and big soft couches. In my opinion, the best seating is outdoors in the corner where you can get a view of Flushing. There’s a big projector they’ll sometimes put down when a game is on. I usually get the popcorn chicken and pork belly buns but if you’re in the mood for a meal, get the spicy beef noodle soup! It is the bomb. Sometimes I get served complimentary edamame which is really nice! Try asking the servers if they don’t offer to you. The edamame has a real nice spice to it. Speaking of the staff, they’re really nice and patient. They’ll take pictures for you and explain everything on the menu. The drinks are enjoyable. I’ve tried Botany and Bitters, Gone Guavas, Behind the Green Doors most favorite), Magnificent Mule and Thai Basil Lemonade. They’re not always consistent though. It gets cold in the winter. I hope they’ll put in warm lights and offer blankets: D. Overall great new spot in Flushing! It makes you forget you’re even in Flushing.

I love this place! I was here on Sunday night when there were only 5 other people at the bar so it was nice and quiet. The ambiance, décor, music, and service all get 5 stars. I felt that the cocktails need some work though. I came after dinner so I had no room to try the food — next time! I would love to come back in the warmer months and relax outside or reserve the corner couches with some friends. Another plus is that there is happy hour every day from 5 – 8, even on Sunday! Certain cocktails are $ 8(compared to $ 12), and house wine is $ 6. This is an excellent addition to Flushing!

Awesome rooftop bar in flushing, probably my first choice in the area. The drinks are ok but the fries and popcorn chicken are addictive! I’d totally come here just for those any time. I’ve tried their sangria and it’s not too strong(seems a bit watered down). Service is great and the view is also good. I’d recommend this as a perfect spot to hang out in the summer.

Built above the all new Hyatt Hotel, Leaf Bar and Lounge definitely has the potential to be great. It lacks the«Flushing vibe», which is great since most bars in Flushing are lame. That’s why people go to LES and the West Village to hang out. Specialty cocktails are worth $ 12 – 14 bucks, which is decent considering how unique they are. Shot prices are what you would expect in Manhattan, $ 6 – 8 bucks. Unfortunately, I didn’t get a chance to try the food so I can’t make a comment on that, but would update once I do. All in all, this is a great place to chill with your friends. For a lot of Americanized Asians, Flushing doesn’t have much to offer in terms of nightlife. THIS may be the game-changer.

Wanted to try the Hamachi Kama and just found out it is coming off the menu in a few weeks. Got a table next to the window and immediately felt like I am not in Flushing, in a kinda LES kinda way. Not cheap but quality food and drinks. Left happy and closer to home than if I went to Manhattan. With places like this and Iki downstairs, there are more reasons to stay in Flushing and save on the parking, driving and overcrowded scene elsewhere.

I LOVE this rooftop bar! We came at 5pm on a Sunday and were the only ones there for the next half hour or so. This means we got THE couch at the end of the bar and watched the sun set behind the faint Manhattan skyline. The food and drinks were DELICIOUS and made our evening even more memorable. I remember having the Gone Guavas cocktail and highly recommend it! We devoured their taiwanese snacks(popcorn chicken, braised pork belly buns, scallion beef pancake), which screwed up our dinner plans but no regrets! Staff were sweet and attentive, happy to take photos for us. Definitely coming back especially since this year’s weather is in the 70s for November! I can’t wait! This is a great new spot for Flushing!(There’s also indoor seating for when the temperature drops.)

Came here on Halloween for a friend’s birthday since their mutual friend owned the bar. All of the workers were dressed up for the holiday which was a nice touch. The entrance fee that day was $ 30 with 2 tickets for drinks. We ended up grabbing a bottle of Black label for $ 185ish and they included a good number of dishes as service. Loved the ambiance and outdoor seating arrangement as well. They have a smoker’s section weather you wanted to light up a cigarette or vape. The service by the bartenders and owner was outstanding. Will def be back in I am in the area.

Time is fleeting. This review is in regards to a visit on 9÷3÷11. So much change in such a tiny temporal window(in relation to the seemingly vast infinite potential that is the rest of my/our life/lives). People come and go(for good reasons, bad reasons, or no reasons at all), new employment awarded to those who searched diligently, personal connections established through care+sensitivity+(an ungodly abundance of) self-control+hard-ass work rent/rended asunder, pounds put on/lost/put on again, and some bars rise above the all-too-likely confines of obscurity and carves for itself a name and reputation into the annals of the infinite ether that is . It was during the death of the Summer of 2015 and birth of the Autumn of 2015 that I found myself with a very special albeit short lived flash-in-the-pan collective of contemporaries(to be joined again as one… perhaps… although highly unlikely, but for the power of one). Digression and discretion is advised at this point… so, the bar was good! A bit of trouble locating the place; stairs and elevators and elevators and stairs… boom we make it. Best seats in the house? Taken. Other than that, sparsely attended; the notoriety of this place hasn’t made the rounds yet was the presumption. This allowed us to get some comfortable seating on the inside; low riding couch with same level table… worked for the Ministry, so it worked for me. Food was spot on. Five spice popcorn chicken didn’t even need any dipping sauces. Thinly cut fries were massively appreciated; fatty pork belly served as a sinful delight. Libations were poured back, creatively strong cocktails were sampled, eventually time required that I revert to a more stomach soothing regimen of G&T once some surprise guests had left, and the more intended guest(s) had arrived. Overall, very nice space, open air decks, and a stiff pouring hand(coupled with irrelevant-to-you-the-reader type of things) easily warrants a special carving in the archives of ones memory bank. Either way, a memorable place, to perhaps be shared with more than just one collective of memorable people(some wax for my cross please).

I think this place is great, it’s a nice new addition to the ever expanding Flushing area. This Taiwanese rooftop lounge is located in the new Hyatt Place and it offers great views of Citi Field and the surrounding area. The setup is great, it has a nice, trendy, interior and the drink selection is pretty respectable. The day I went, they also played a lot of great old school music, so my old ass was a fan. The food: The Hellcat– Jalapeño-infused Jose Cuervo Silver Tequila, agave nectar, fresh lime juice, cucumber, cilantro, smoked Red Alder sea salt. I really liked this drink, it was super refreshing and had a nice, clean, spicy finish. This is my drink of choice here. Salt and Pepper popcorn chicken– These are addictive especially with that magic Asian seasoning, what is it called again? Oh yeah, there is MSG on that bad boy and it is fanfuckingtastic lol

Absolutely loved this spot! I came here with my girlfriends to celebrate my birthday and I absolutely loved it here. The atmosphere was just perfect, the décor was lovely to stare at, and the service was superb. Oh and their drinks are just to die for, especially the presentation. My favorite cocktails are the Baiju and the Summer Fling. The Baiju tasted just as good as it smelled. It had a great balance of not being overly sweet and not having too much alcohol in it. The Summer Fling was sweeter but it tasted good too. For appetizers I loved munching on the Cucumber with herbal chili sauce. It’s crunchy, a bit sour, and it’s not that spicy. Overall, I will definitely be back because this is a great spot to chill!

The view there is absolutely stunning. I came here around 5 o clock with my girlfriends. We sat outside at the corner facing where the sun was setting. The waitress came over and gave us a menu. The prices they had for cocktails weren’t too bad. It was all around 12 bucks. My friends and I all settled for the Sangria. It tasted absolutely amazing. It wasn’t too strong and it was presented beautifully. We also order their salt and pepper fried chicken. It was a bit in the salty side. The sun setting just topped off a beautiful night with my girlfriends. It is definitely come back for me. Overall rating: Food: 8⁄10 Décor: 10⁄10 Pricing: 8⁄10 Service: 9⁄10

Came here with a group of fellow Unilocalers on a Wednesday night. The rooftop wasn’t hard to find. You can either walk into the main lobby of the Hyatt and take the elevator to R for the rooftop or walk in from the entrance on prince street. If you go in from prince street then walk up the stairs then take the elevator to R. Once inside there’s an option to sit outside or inside. The best seats in the house are by the window in the far outside corner. You get a view of NYC/Citi field. But both times I’ve been here, I sat inside since that seat was taken. This bar offers a nice menu of taiwanese dishes and unique drinks. It’s not your typical burger and wings bar. They offer complimentary edamame which is seasoned with salt and cayenne. It’s pretty tasty and has a nice kick to it. The popcorn chicken is my favorite and the portion size is huge. The beef noodle soup is actually good and a bit spicy, but a little on the smaller side. The tempura batter is light and crispy but I didn’t understand why there were tempura lemons. It was a surprise in my mouth. Besides the great food, the drinks are strong. My favorite is the botany & bitters. Although they are priced from $ 12 a drink, they are quite fancy. They do serve regular beers and spirits, if that’s what you’re into. Happy hour has peach white sangria for $ 29 a pitcher. Overall, nice rooftop bar in Flushing & a nice place to bring a date!

A nice little rooftop bar that makes you forget that you’re in Flushing. Drinks aren’t consistent yet as they should be but Behind the Green Door and white peach sangria are always solid. Got to appreciate fancy cocktails close to home. As far as the food goes, I love the sauce for the fries. I also like how they put some cayenne on their edamame, which has been complimentary. Nights aren’t too busy yet so come now before the beans are spilled! By the way, the corner seat to the right of the balcony has the best view, even though Flushing’s skyline isn’t too impressive.

Newly opened at the new Hyatt hotel in Flushing, Leaf Bar and Lounge is a refreshing rooftop gem with a well-stocked bar. Getting up there might be a little confusing: you have to get on the right elevator that will take you up to the roof or else you might have to change elevators a couple of times. The entrance is unassuming, but walking in, you are greeted by wooden accents all around, with regular and high tables as well as couches inside and outside. There is greenery all around the outdoor area, which extends quite far to an open area without any tables.(I wonder what they can do with that area.) The menu is quite special: all of their specialty cocktails are named and look like they came straight out of a speakeasy, and they taste like it too. There is also a wide selection of whiskeys and wines. Between my best friend and me, we tried about 8 different specialty drinks, and we both have different favorites, mine being the Gone Guava, hers being the Summer Fling. We also got some free edamame seasoned with Japanese chili flakes, which is something I never thought would work but it tasted delicious, and popcorn chicken, which was delicious. Although there have been a few rooftop bars that have sprung up in Flushing, this is the most convenient one by far, and the view certainly speaks for itself. We got there early enough to get the prime spot with a view of the sunset illuminating the sky, Citi Field, and the Manhattan skyline. Quite a number of people were so intrigued with the view that they politely but unashamedly(we didn’t mind) took pictures by our table. I look forward to coming back and trying out the rest of the menu!

This place was a gem in Flushing. When I was hanging out here. I felt like I was out of Flushing. The night view is so so much better than The One. The drink here was awesome but it’s a little pricy for Flushing price. Anyhow, Food was awesome and atmosphere was excellent! I ordered tempura and Taiwanese popcorn chicken. Tempura was so delicious that I think it’s in my top three in tempura list. Crispy outside and juicy inside and there was a lot of shrimps too. You should have tried their cocktails. I’m not the person who like alcohol so I don’t know much about the taste but I liked it. They had great flavors level. Beside the food, let’s talk about the service there. I personally liked the waitress who served us at the very beginning. She was good and ‘not that approaching’ which I think it’s good as we were all trying to enjoy the moment up here talking to friends sipping our drinks. But then I think it’s time to swap and there was another waitress serving us. She was too approachable as she came in every 10 minutes to ask for more food/drinks and tried to clean up the table. It felt like she was trying to rush us to pay. Well, it’s too bad that I’ll give it a bad review but I think she should pay more attention about quality and not quantity.
