Here’s the deal. Most of the hair stylists fingers smell like cigarettes, they play mj all day and ignore their customer, they’re loud BUT the location is convenient for me. Easier to find parking than downtown Flushing, haircut price is cheap even for super long hair($ 25 for mine and mine is down to my butt cheeks). Coloring with henna is only $ 50 for my whole hair. The good outweighs the bad for me so I’m always a returning customer.

I’ve been to this salon for many years. They have friendly service and are honest beauticians. Their pricing is all right but there are other places that are cheaper and can do the same work. The place isn’t very clean tho.

They really need to use conditioner. My hair was quiet frizzy afterwards, a little less after the blowdry but still there. The haircut was pretty good and there was no communication prob.

I have found my new favorite hair salon! I went to M&M based on the good reviews as well as the good prices, hoping inflation hadn’t hit yet. As soon as I stepped in I saw a clean pleasant salon with interesting décor. A lady greeted me asking what I wanted and helped me figure the exact length and style to cut my hair. A different man is the one who actually cut my hair. For a simple V-shaped haircut he spent almost an hour, meticulously cutting inch by inch making sure everything was even. For $ 20, the wash, cut, and blow I received was more than worth it. I would recommend to anyone. The only drawback was the language barrier but as long as you’re clear in what you want and repeat it, you’ll end up with a haircut you won’t be able to help but love.

Very happy with my haircut. I was looking for a good cut for cheap. I think I have found my place. I came on a Wednesday afternoon and it was pretty much empty. I asked for a layered cut and I love how my hair turned out. For $ 23 bucks you can’t beat that. I went a while back and now am ready for another cut. Can’t wait.

I’ve been coming here since 2002 because they are very reasonably priced & they do a great job with my hair. I drive all the way from Suffolk to get my hair cut here bc to be honest, non Asian people(sorry no offense) overcharge & suck @ cutting my hair compared to these guys. They wash my hair twice AND give me a scalp, neck AND shoulder massage. All for $ 20! What salon on LI can beat that!

I have been going to this place for over three years, and I love it. The price for a wash, cut and set is 22 $ for midback length hair, which is very reasonable. They are very nice and accommodating and there is ample free parking in the residential block next to this place. MG takes his time to cut hair and does a really food job, I only recommend him for a haircut!!! Go here you won’t regret it! But the only downside is that he takes smoke breaks in between cuts and his hands smell bad :-(that’s the only negative!

I also like M&M Happy Hair Salon because the people who work here are Cantonese! I prefer to use English if possible, but I feel more comfortable talking about hair stuff in my native Cantonese than in Mandarin. I feel like this little salon, with its orange awning, can be easily overlooked because it’s located in that little strip on Kissena Blvd where a bunch of Asian businesses are located. The guy who cut my hair was kind of rude and smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. He told me straight up that my hair was an oily mess. I forgave him, though, because he did a fabulous job of cutting my bangs and layers. Would I come back? Yes, because you never have to wait for a cut since this isn’t located in the heart of Flushing. They do shampoo and cut for about $ 20, which isn’t too bad.

I personally like it here because they are cantonese speakers, also speaks mando, and they speak a little bit of english. I’m annoyed with the salons in flushing that only speaked mando with no english because it was difficult to tell them what kind of haircut I wanted. Also one time this guy chopped of a huge piece of my hair by accident because he thought he was using the scissor to lighten my hair –_-«. Anyway, Happy Hair Salon have very nice people that are well mannered. It use to be cheaper, but they raised the price of hair with layer for $ 15 and along with wash is $ 20. I believe this is without tip. They usually don’t ask for tip, but sometimes they will take it from the change they are suppose to give back. They take their time with your hair and sometimes it takes about an hour for them to finish. Its a empty place and in the early mornings they usually have around 2 – 3 workers. If they are short on workers it may take a while, but they don’t make you wait for a long time. I go there every time I need a haircut. They also do manicure and pedicures along with nail art.
