My mom had been struggling with sleeping since early December. This isn’t her first time, and when she gets these bouts it’s pretty bad.
Dr. Kim prescribed a herbal formula and her sleep improved within a couple of days. She did experience mild side effects, and he told her how to adjust her intake. My mom was so relieved to be sleeping well again, so she wanted to order a month’s worth. However, Dr. Kim said to just take two weeks to see if that would be enough.
He also mailed her formula after she ran out (she’s in New Jersey).

First of all Dr. Kim is a great person. He has a great bedside manner who listens to his patients before treating them. He spent ample amount of time with me getting to know me as a person. We both have a lot in common. Very knowledgeable and smart. He is professional and caring. Highly recommend Dr. Kim.

This is the best place to go if you have any pain. I went there because I had a pain in my shoulder since many years. I don’t have any pain anymore. The staff and the Dr. Kim are very polite, friendly and respectful. If I need I will go again.

I cannot speak more highly of how much better I feel after 1 session. I came in about a week ago with huge pain in my back and shoulder and tingling in my arm after a sports related injury. I was told I may need maybe 3 sessions, but after just 1 I was 1000 times better! I will definitely return every time I’m injured (which happens frequently for me!) seriously. I’ve done acupuncture before, and never had results like this. Highly recommend!

I found this doctor through my fellow Unilocalers (thank you). I took a chance with a painful back strain almost stopped me from going on vacation. I almost lost my mind from the pain and unable to walk I was desperate. I called many location but sadly most of the doctors was not willing to take me in on a late Saturday afternoon.
I looked through Unilocal for doctors (mainly for acupuncture). Due to the great reviews from Unilocal I took a chance and thank God it worked out for me. I can truthfully say the next day I was feeling much better. I was able to walk without any pain. The doctor was willing to give me the last appointment on Saturday. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. They went above and beyond to get my insurance information for my first appointment. You can always speak and ask questions from the doctor. He is very kind and informative. Every time I received treatment, I felt much progress towards my recovery.

I came to Dr. Kim in total desperation with un relenting pain in the hip shooting down the leg.
The care and treatment were 5 stars all the way.
The office is clean and professional, with the added bonus of parking. Best if all, I left able to walk without pain, able to return to work. Thank You Dr. Kim, amazing care.

The treatments have been semi-​effective.
For my anxiety, this has been 60% effective.
For this recently, had needles implanted into the ears to calm my mind.
It does seem to help with mental clarity. Hoping it continues to hold up.
For weight loss, it has been pretty good. Healthier way of doing it and the doctor prepares some advice on weight loss.
The last treatment seemed to spread out the qi stagnation to the entire body creating a numbing effect.

I rarely leave reviews because I’m not an easy person to impress. I had taken my father to see Dr. Kim for his lower back pain. This was his first time getting acupuncture and he didn’t know what to expect. Dr. Kim calmed his nerves, spoke to him about his health and walked him through the procedure. He was so patient and kind, he genuinely seemed concerned for my father’s well-​being. After the procedure was done Dr. Kim offered advice and tips to help alleviate my father’s lower back pain. I would highly recommend Dr. Kim, believe me you won’t regret it!

I visited Regen for the first time to alleviate my neck/​shoulder spasms. I have never had an experience with acupuncture before so I was a bit nervous. Upon consultation, I was given honest advice and was told exactly what was going to happen during my appointment. It was actually relaxing and he was considerate of my comfort level and told me exactly what was going to happen next. At the end he told me I did not need to return if my symptoms were relieved. It has been a week later and I definitely feel much better. I would come back in the future and recommend anyone to try for the first time.

Hi,
I went to Regen because I had shoulder/​arm pains but did not want to go to a Western doc and get prescriptions to mask the pain. I wanted to cure the pain. Found Regen via Unilocal and wanted give back to the community with a review.
Called and made an appointment — they take most insurance with $ 30 copay. Call first to make sure.
Office is located in the first floor of a large apartment building. Parking lot is available for free.
Clean and quiet office, not an assembly line acupuncture office where they make you wait forever and then rush you out. Very pleasant office.
This was my first acupuncture, I was a little nervous — Dr. Kim really calm me down. He is very knowledgeable and efficient. The needles were not painful at all. The electric simulation was not something I was expecting, but it was none the less great for the pain. Cupping was the last part, I’m sure you need it before. Glass cup all your back, I enjoy that — BUT afterwards — it looks like someone gave you giant circular hickeys all over your back.
Now the pain, first session help a little. The 2^nd visit was AWESOME — pain almost gone. The 3^rd visit — pain all gone from shoulder/​arm. Pretty amazing — no prescription drugs involved at all.
Highly recommended — Dr. Kim is excellent on what he does — very in tune with the new and old generations.

I have been suffering with intense back injuries for a year now. I had tried regular physical therapy and even though it was helping a little, I was not seeing a huge change. I had been considering trying acupuncture but I was hesitant with the overly saturated acupuncture practices in Flushing, so I was very happy to find Dr. Kim for intimate one on one Chinese Medicinal treatments. He is very knowledgeable, skillful professional, not to mention one of the kindest medical practitioners I have ever had. Dr. Kim actually listens and caters each session to my needs for that day. I have been getting acupuncture and cupping done for some weeks now. Even though the cupping bruises are not very sexy, especially on a female, it removes deep tissue pain and is well worth it in exchange for some red circles that disappear over a few days.
Simultaneously, he has been treating my eczema, which has been out of control due to stress from the pain. Along with acupuncture he has been making a special herbal concoction to drink that helps my body distress and digest to clear up my skin. My eczema is finally under control and I rarely have severe breakouts like before.
I love that every visit to Regan Acupuncture starts on time and lasts about the same amount of time so I can plan my day in advance. I always pick Dr. Kim’s brain during sessions about diet, exercise and overall health to learn more about how I can be mindful of my body and mind outside of the office visits. He is always open and willing to give any information, and even gives tips without me asking. I am feeling and seeing great results, Dr. Kim is helping my body heal as a whole. I would I highly recommend him to anyone that wants to try alternative medicine for whatever health issues they are having. I have done my own research on acupuncture and always ask questions to learn more, and it is very versatile and can help treat anything across the board.

Dr. Kim is absolutely wonderful. Very knowledgeable. He listens to the problems and work with me. I have been using acupuncture treatments for about 30 years. Lost my last doctor. After a long search, I found Dr. Kim. It’s a real blessing to have him helping me with my acute problems. My friends noticed the difference in me after my treatments. I recommended friends to him. Taekoon is a miracle worker! I struggled with infertility for 5 yrs and have been to other acupuncturists and have not been successful at getting pregnant. I started with Taekoon twice a week three wks before my IVF transfer and the embryos made it to my uterus. This is not my first IVF and i have also had surgery and 4 IUIs that were unsuccessful. I am now 2 wks pregnant thanks to Taekoon. I never thought it would happen bc I have so many reproductive issues and feel like my dreams are finally coming true at 42 yrs old. I almost gave up. I am continuing with Taekoon once per wk until my first trimester is over and maybe more. When I am at Regen I never feel pain with the needles like I did at other places. He is so gentle, kind and understanding. If you have an issue he will try to bring his experiences in to help you. I am now a faithful client. Thank you Taekoon!

I agree with all the other review comments. I actually went there after reading all of reviews on Unilocal.I suffer from muscle pain in my shoulder after a car accident. Dr. Kim was very helpful in zoning into the pain and helped loosen those specific muscle groups. Previously I have tried physical therapy which I didn’t see significant results in. Best thing about Dr. Kim is he mixes his knowledge of both western and eastern medicine and finds a balance between the two, to help the problem.
Additionally, the deciding factor about Dr. Kim was that I read a review that said he discharged a patient after 3 – 4 visits. I used to work for a doctor’s office and it was all about money there. The general doctor would want to see the patients ever 3 weeks without any discharged dates/​notice. Dr. Kim is genuine and isn’t like the money hungry doctors you experience in the western medical world (in my experience). He listens to you and tries his best to help the situation until it’s better. He recommends other ways to help the problem, in the long run, outside of his office as well. That is how you know he is genuine. I will definetly recommend Dr. Kim to everyone I know! Thanks Dr. Kim!

Dr. Kim was very kind, professional, and conscientious. During the intake, he asked lots of questions about my back pain and proceeded with both acupuncture and cupping. He also did scraping on the second visit (which is a firm pressure massage with a smooth tool, not painful, but quite effective). After two sessions, my acute back pain was gone and I was discharged with a recommendation to try a local yoga studio and reduce work-​related stress ;-P.
His office was very clean and nicely decorated for a calm, peaceful environment. *Note: Dr. Kim’s office is located in a residential building, in case you’re likely to walk past, like I almost did.

I went to see Dr. Kim about sore shoulders/​fatigue from too much desk-​sitting and some unrelated sports injuries in my lower body (sore knee, Achilles tendon pain). Dr. Kim was very informative, explaining different reasons for my discomfort and how I might be able to prevent it in the future.
This was my second experience with acupuncture. My previous experience with acupuncture was after a sports-​related groin injury (not with Dr. Kim). The treatment that first time was effective, but I didn’t completely feel comfortable because I did not feel like the procedures were adequately explained to me, and before I knew it needles were being stuck in sensitive areas around my groin. On the other hand, Dr. Kim was careful to explain to me the different procedures he was going to use, so even when I had a needle stuck in my head (which, admittedly, made me feel a bit lightheaded) I knew what to expect.
My favorite procedure was the cupping, which I must say has relieved my sore shoulders (still going strong a week later, and the dinosaur hickeys are going away). I definitely feel that my muscles are less tense and I feel less of a need to constantly crack my shoulder blades like I usually do. Dr. Kim also gave me an herbal supplement to drink– it doesn’t taste like ice cream or chocolate or anything too pleasant, but I think my overall energy level has gone up in the past week.

When my orthopedist recommended acupuncture as a compliment to the other things prescribed for my back and neck pain I was open minded, but I took a stutter-​step once I saw the price. As a student there was no way I was going to pay $ 150 for something I wasn’t remotely confident. A few months later with the pain still there I took interest when I saw a Groupon for Regen Acupuncture and decided it was time.
The first thing worth noting about this facility is that it’s very clean, and highly professional. Two things that mattered above all else to me.
After my first treatment I felt some relief but I wasn’t sure what to attribute it to. When I went in for my second treatment I was in the worst of pain so we did acupuncture followed by cupping, which was amazing. Two days later I’m still feeling quite a bit better which is great considering I haven’t gone two days without neck pain in years. I still don’t know what to attribute to the acupuncture itself, but cupping I will definitely continue long term.
I have one more acupuncture appointment before Christmas break but I expect to schedule some more after I return.
Summary: Clean, professional, friendly, highly recommended.

I lost weight with Dr. TAEHOON 15lbs 7weeks.
I went Regen Acupuncture once a weeks, check inbody, which shows detail of my body, and taking medicine.
I struggled with lose weght all my life, but I failed every time. Dr. TAEHOON taught me many knowledge of health diet.
He is really nice and makes me have a confidence of shape.
I think the Diet program is most healthy, patients centered and prevent yo-​yo phenomenon.
I strongly recommend Regen Acupuncture, if someone want lose weight!!!

TaeHoon really took care of my Father after his operation from the hospital. His Anecdotal for my Father’s post operative recovery with his Herbal decoction was a miracle.
Since Taehoon listen to my father pains and remarks he understood exactly what would help my father recovery. My father recover quicker then normal now feeling better then ever, and seems he never went into surgury.
Taehoon alternative medicine was very helpful and also help treat us with the Herbal decoction whenever we feel sick instead of going to a regular doctor. I feel it’s more heathful and less side effects then prescription medicine.
I highly recommend Taehoon as he is a real Professional and he is a Gem to find!
