Specialties

Swim Strong Foundation is a nonprofit organization that saves and changes lives through the great sport of swimming. Our volunteer coaches are experienced and self-driven to teach children, teens, and adults how to swim. We offer three levels of swim programs for beginner (Get Ready Get Wet), intermediate (Learn to Swim), and experienced (Competitive & Stroke Enhancement) swimmers from ages 3-years to adult. Swim Lessons/Programs for kids, teens, and adults run year-round at our four locations in Brooklyn, Far Rockaway, and Queens.

Swim Strong offers programs at Flushing Meadows Aquatic Center in Flushing NY, Brooklyn Sports Club in Brooklyn NY, James Madison High School in Brooklyn NY, and Far Rockaway High School in Far Rockaway NY.

Our mission is to provide skills for life and SAVE lives. We transform lives and we challenge swimmers to use competitive swimming to learn the life-affirming values of commitment, goal-setting, self-discipline, persistence, team-work, and resilience.

History

Established in 2005.

Swim Strong Foundation was started to bring affordable swimming programs to families in NYC. Our mission is to SAVE lives by teaching water safety and swim lessons. Our focus is on competitive swimming technique to provide skills which will make you more efficient and effective in the water.

We CHANGE lives by helping children become competive swimmers; helping adults incorporate swimming into their exercise régime and improving their skills at a competitive level.
