Yee Mei Fong Cafe

I believe this is the location of the newly opened YMF Café. While there are two other YMF bakeries in the area, they’re more pick up and go pastry shops. My gf and I happened to walk by this newly renovated space on the way to White Bear and made a note to come back to try the shaved ice displayed in the window.
Came back an hour later and sat down for their café service. I want to make a note here that the servers were SUPER friendly. It was incredible to get such service in a Chinese restaurant of all places. They were attentive and actually looked happy to be there. We asked for the mango shaved ice, thinking it’d be the fluffy shaved ice that you find in China (there was one in New World Mall but it shut down) but instead it’s closer to the Taiwanese shaved ice where it’s just toppings served on crushed ice. No matter, it was still a delight– we got four flavors to put on top the ice: red bean, watermelon, papaya, and taro. For $ 4 we were full sated and very happy that we stopped by this new café.
