I got the Sunday special fried chicken with two sides, hash brown casserole and Mac and cheese. It was so good ! Unbelievably delicious the chicken was crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside.

This is the best country cooking you will ever have. This food reminds me of my aunts cooking who pasted away 10 yrs ago. The dinning room is so homelike and the servers are awesome. And plus you can shop in the gift store. Overall a great experience from the min you walk in until the min you walk out.

I like Cracker Barrel and we’ve been to this one twice. Once the service was good and once it was lacking. The food has always been consistent.

I only ever get breakfast. Not a country foods fan. I mean there’s not too much to say when you’re visiting a chain restaurant, but this place does as good a job as expected. It’s clean, the wait staff is super nice, and the portion sizes are always substantial. Am I the only one that realizes their syrup isn’t pure maple syrup? It literally says 55% maple syrup 45% cane sugar… For a big corporation I think you could dish out the real deal. Their turkey bacon is delicious though, probably my favorite I’ve ever had. My biggest complaint is that they used to serve multigrain granola pancakes. Seriously incredible. Why Cracker Barrel? Why did you stop?! Bring those back and I’ll always be visiting. The gift shop is always fun to peruse after a big meal of course! If you want a consistent meal, then it’s a good option.

Short stack of pecan pancakes. Biscuits and apple butter for an appetizer. Lost a star for no nutritional info(type of customers here usually don’t care) and no omelets unless you ask for a non-menu item. Why no obvious omelets at a homestyle breakfast place?

We stopped at your restaurant for dinner around 7pm as part of a bus group. Our family of 3 was seated in the section by the fireplace. Our waitress Crystal made us feel welcome and took our order in no time with a smile. She checked back with us several times without being to overbearing and was very professional. The food came out prompt, hot and tasty. Overall — we had a very pleasant experience and will definitely come back if we are in the area.

You get what you get. Yeah, its a chain. Decent food and plenty of it. I will say this summer I tried their sweet potato fries and they were awesome. I won’t go here for breakfast. Why? They don’t include toast with any of their egg meals. No what do you get offered biscuits and cornbread. Let me tell you… CB’s cornbread is by far the driest worst tasting cornbread on the planet. I will actually order it at other CB’s just to see if its as bad every where else, and sure enough it is. Let me also add this… No matter what CB location, there seems to be a miserable old lady on the register.

Maybe it was a bad night, maybe it’s because I’m from the South and know what home cooking should look and taste like, but this was the one of the most overpriced bad tasting meals I’ve had. I ordered the roast beef dinner. The beef was thin and sickly, the potatoes cold, the gravy thin and yellow, the fried okra tasteless. All for $ 12! I didn’t realize there were so many possible corners to cut. There was no home in this cooking, just cheap owners trying to squeeze every last penny in exchange for quality food.

For a chain, I have to give credit they really do a nice job. Clean and busy. The food was great and hot and the server was courteous and attentive. Could go on but overall they did a wonderful job.

My companion wanted to pick up something in the store at a Cracker Barrel and we were close to this one, so we decided to have lunch while we were there. Hostess seated us right away. The waiter was new and a little unsure of himself, but overall provided good service. My companion had the catfish sandwich, which she enjoyed. I had breakfast for lunch. Eggs were good, bacon was cooked correctly and biscuits were nice. My only compliant was that the grits were watery. They couldn’t be eaten with a fork.

So just like others, the service is pretty good. My purpose for my review is for a change in the food quality. First I’ve eaten at this location many many times. And usually the food is great. But last two times I noticed something has changed. The time before I ordered chicken fried chicken. For those unfamiliar, it’s basically a friend chicken breast with gravy. I’ve ordered it many times, it’s one of my go to dishes. Well this time I noticed it was more circular and flat. And the breading looked a little different. I couldn’t put my finger on it till I cut into it. It was a frozen chicken patty. I’ve had enough in my life to tell the difference before it looked like a chicken breast pounded out and breaded. Then fried. This definitely looked like a frozen patty and tasted like one. Moving on to tonight, this time I ordered chicken fried steak. A classic they always done well. This, again, I had many times. And again this definitely was frozen. It didn’t fit on the plate. The edge over hung. It was just like hamburger meat with breading on it but it looked formed. The texture was off, more of a dense meat. It was never like this. It wasn’t inedible. But I now will avoid those to dishes. I don’t know for sure it’s frozen food, but it’s definitely not the homemade feel it used to be. Everything else was fine, the sides were good as usually and my wife who got the shrimp meal said her’s was as good as always. So not sure what’s up but the quality of those to dishes took a hit.

Wasn’t what I expected. Terrible service coupled with terrible food. I had a gift card and wanted to try the place out. We went with a party of 5 and were smashed into a corner table with a chair at the end of it. It was really a poor experience. The coffee wasn’t hot and the food stunk. The fried apples were cold and the sawmill gravy tasted like sawDUST. Biscuits had no taste at all and the sausage wasn’t hot. On top of that, our waitress didn’t even come back to refill our drinks it was a different waitress who was a lot nicer and pleasant and refilled our drinks and took our plates out of the way. I won’t be returning and won’t be recommending Cracker Barrel to anyone.

I don’t know how this chain stays in business. Just about the worst food I ever had. It was actually inedible so I didn’t really even have it. It was very cheap but you get what you pay for. The dumplings with the bland chicken were mysterious lumps of tasteless starch. The green beans were all mush. No flavor at all except the load of paprika dumped on the grits which just made it worse. Come on America– you can find better family places I’m sure!

I typically love Cracker Barrel. Whenever I am visiting a state that has one, I immediately want to have breakfast there. I love the store, the rocking chairs outside, and the food… Especially the biscuits. This Cracker Barrel location isn’t bad, per se, but it’s not as good as other locations I have visited. While the restaurant is clean and includes the store, it’s not the same. When we were seated, the tip from the previous customer was still on the table. the hostess said the waitress would come take it, which she eventually did, but why wasn’t it gone by the time we were seated? They only provided 1 breakfast menu for 3 people and we had to ask for 2 more. Finally we settled in and decided what to order. I got a diet root beer served in a frozen mug(yessss!) and one of my friends got coffee. The coffee only came with half & half, no milk, so she requested milk. Our waitress was EXTREMELY nice and accommodating and brought her a little container of milk. The milk? Curdled. Smelled bad, looked bad, yet the exp. date was 9⁄15 and we were there on 9⁄14. The waitress yet again was very nice and took the coffee off the bill and replaced with a complementary orange juice. We each got the sunrise sampler for our meal. The eggs were perfectly cooked, the sausage wasn’t great, the ham was so-so, the bacon was good and crunchy, the grits were solid, and the biscuits… I could live on their biscuits. I dunked a couple into the gravy but I prefer to put preserves on mine. The bill came to $ 32, which is nice considering how much food we received. The service here in both the store and the restaurant is fantastic but they need to watch their dairy supply and how fast they clean-up a table prior to a new round of guests sitting down.

This was my first visit to a Cracker Barrel, and I was pleasantly surprised. It has it’s own store that sells tons of random things, along with the full restaurant that’s kinda like a diner, but with a country theme. I had a chicken fried steak with fried okra, mashed potatoes, and mac and cheese. It was pretty awesome. I definitely wanna stop at another Cracker Barrel on future road trips.

Made a stop on our way back from Lancaster County. I’ve been to Cracker Barrels for breakfast, but this is the first time for lunch. I had the chicken and dumplings, and it was hearty and yummy. Our waitress, Raven, was wonderful and friendly! Actually, I noticed all of the staff had a warm smile for us as we interacted or passed by them. Our family of 2 adults and 2 kids had lunch for $ 30…hard to beat! I can’t think of any cons here…

I love me some Cracker Barrel I frequently go with my friends on the weekend for quick enjoyable trip and meal. I love walking into any Cracker Barrel because I know even if theres is a wait you have the country store to keep you busy the whole time. It’s filled with old school candy, cute holiday themed items, along with yummy sented candles and things such as buttermilk pancake mix. I usually go for the chicken fried chicken with the white saw mill gravy. It’s a great pick it comes along with 3 sides and it is very hard to pick trust me 3 seems like a large amount but when u have so many choices it becomes very difficult. This time I got the buttermilk fried shrimp that comes with hush puppies and I picked mashed potatoes with gravy, cheesy grits and Mac n cheese mmmm. They also bring a heaping plate of corn muffins and biscuits along with butter and jelly. I always get a Stewarts root beer to wash it all down, trust me if you see the sign for one on the highway and are in the mood for good home style country cooking u won’t be disappointed if you stop!

It’s a Cracker Barrel. They’re usually very similar. With the local power outages, everyone and their brother was at this location on the night we stopped in. We had a very perky and polite server, but she ended up not being the person who brought out our meals and 2 were incorrect. This was righted, but those things really shouldn’t happen. Also, we were promised fresh biscuits with our cornbread(as the biscuits were still baking) and they never were brought. Errors aside, the food was tasty, all servers were nice and even being burstingly busy we only had a 10 – 15 minute wait to be seated.
