Lambert’s Cafe III

Lambert’s is amazing. It’s not just about the food. It is definitely about the experience.
We planned our visit as a late lunch, early dinner hoping that the wait wouldn’t be too long. It worked. In less than 20 minutes we were seated and our drink orders taken almost immediately. Between the three of us we ordered the chicken & dumplings, liver & onions and the pass around plate.
There is so much food served that you just can’t eat it all. Servers are walking around constantly with bowls of extra food. Even though you are served a couple sides with your order, there are many more sides served including ocra, potatoes, macaroni, cabbage, black-​eyed peas and those delicious rolls.
Speaking of rolls, we were very much entertained by the server with the rolls. He could juggle them and didn’t hesitate to pose for any photo.
Not only was the service beyond excellent, so was the food. We loved it! There is one little glitch but it’s with an easy fix. Lambert’s only accepts cash and checks but if you don’t have either, they do have a couple ATM machines handy to get that cash.
