Went in here for the first time with my grandmother, as she was looking for something.
The selection was pretty good & they have a great location… HOWEVER, the lady working behind the counter (assuming one of the owners) had a major attitude problem. She is the type that likes to make the customer feel stupid for asking questions.
Will not be back here.

I made my first trip here and I will definitely be returning!
Beautiful store snd lovely items. This store is so much more than a stone store.
The customer service was excellent!
The parking can perhaps be an issue if they’re busy however I was happy to see they have a parking lot.

The selection here is great, possibly the best in Sacramento… however, the customer service is HORRENDOUS. I was in the store for well over an hour (with 3 employees working and it was a slow day) and was failed to be greeted even once. I’ve worked in customer service 7+ years, so I know first-​hand it isn’t too difficult… not to mention, I’m a very pleasant individual. Then, as I was purchasing my crystals the women ringing me up (long grey braid) was cold, and treated me as if I was an inconvenience. I even tried to engage in conversation… nothing…She didn’t even thank me for my ‘many’ purchases… PLUS SIDE; There was a man there (who had quite a few tattoos), he finally aknowledged my existence and was very warm and kind. They should all take notes from him! Unfortunately, I will not be returning to this store again. For the amount that crystals/​rocks/​gems cost? This location has left me incredibly disappointed.

The best way to describe this shop is a treasure trove of Metaphysical/​New Age décor, jewelry and books. Usually their genre of wares is not my style, but I do love looking at unique rocks & crystal. Planet Earth Rising is THE place to go to browse endless aisles of these items. They also had a pretty extensive collection of jewelry, wind chimes and clothing. What I enjoyed about this store, when compared to other similar stores of this genre, is that they have a spacious lay out-​lots of room in the aisles to comfortably browse.
On a Saturday afternoon the shop was pretty kicking. Lots of shoppers browsing and buying. It seems to attract a lot of locals and those from the surrounding areas. Workers weren’t a stand out but that didn’t detract from my overall experience-​I didn’t have to really interact with anyone. Worth a visit if you like this type of thing and in you’re in the Folsom area.

Great selection of books, and the one woman that helped me was real informative and helpful. Tons of unique statues and décor. Definitely a unique store with great customer service, I just thought some prices were a tad high but I know I will keep visiting Planet Earth Rising.

This place is awesome. I love to shop here. All sorts of new age stuff to buy. Great psychic readers. And lots of beautiful crystals.

I like their merchandise & the staff were courteous, but the only reason I went out of my way to go there was to see the psychic Kris Tondee. He has not been there for awhile and is doing readings elsewhere. In my opinion, they lost the goose that laid the golden eggs. He always booked up with appointments and rarely had an opening, of which they got a percentage. I tried several other intuitives there but I ended up feeling that I had wasted my money. There may be others whom people feel good about seeing.
Also, I agree with others that the décor is pretty dark. Have thought they could use an interior decorator to brighten it up with a bit of paint, especially on that dark wall. And it’s a dark atmosphere because of the lighting.

This is a great shop. It may feel dark because of bad lighting. They do not get any direct sunlight. But that is why I think people feel a «weird vibe». They need some help in decorating and flow. This is not your typical retail store. So, therefore I love it. You can find some very unique items. Roxy is wonderful and she does readings. Go check it out.

I went here a few weeks ago, when I walked in the three people that were working were all chatting at the front desk. They just stared at me and didn’t even bother to greet me. They made me feel super uncomfortable and u welcomed. I was looking for a certain stone pendant and I asked the guy working there and he wasn’t much help. The workers here do not suit the environment what so ever.

The positive: huge selection of beautiful crystals at a decent price.
The negativeS: every time I walk into this store I get treated like a thief. I have spent hundreds of dollars in this store over time but somehow they can’t manage to remember my face. Anytime I touch something I have eyes burning a hole through my back. Sometimes they just straight up follow me around the store. Last time I went there I bought a ring before I was done looking around (so I wouldn’t be tempted to spend more money) and one of the ladies frantically followed me around the whole store treating me like I stole it after I already paid for it. I CLEARLY heard her asking the other employees if I paid for it in a very rude manner. Even worse than that I have bought multiple rings here (and they are not cheap!) and every one the stones fell out of! One was a birthday gift and I lost the moonstone the first day I wore it. I have friends who have bought jewelry here too and their stones fell out as well. I come here to find good vibe stuff and they drown my in negative vibes. I’ve always been a good friendly customer and I spent money every time I come here. They lost my business for life.
I would like to add that for the most part the staff is very nice and sweet. It is one lady in particular who I am speaking of who happens to be there every time I go. Unfortunately I don’t know her name.

Here there be dragons! Great shop for collectors. This is my new favorite place to go for mini taper candles. They are what the Garden of Enchantment in Old Sac (also a great place) might look like if they had an extra 500 square feet to spread out their merchandise. It’s open and airy, and the staff was friendly and helpful. There are lots of spiritual items as well as beautiful gifts.
They span a broad spectrum, carrying spiritual items derived from Judaism and Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, Native American religion, and Paganism. I am sure there are others that I just didn’t recognize. There are also items that are not explicitly spiritual if you just like pretty things. There are knick knacks, clothes, jewelry, greeting cards, CDs, candles, and incense.
I did not experience the weird vibe that other reviwers have mentioned, and I am usually pretty sensitive to things like that, so maybe they have changed staff, or layout, or done something to improve the energy around the place.

I love the unique and spiritual selection of products! There are not many places in Sacramento that offer such variety of so many unusual items. A Must see!

All the things they sell are really wonderful, but I have to say it’s just not worth the trip all the way to Folsom (I’m near downtown) unless Kris Tondee is there.

Love this stone shop! Prices are fairly good, definitely a lot better than other stone shops in the Sacramento area. They have everything you could dream of for your spiritual needs :)

I love coming to Planet Earth Rising when I visit my family in Roseville. I was just here a couple weeks ago stocking up on Sage and candles. The employees are so helpful and friendly. I will continue to come back when I am in the area.

I began coming here when they were located in a business/​warehouse section of Rancho Cordova, many years ago. Then I followed them when they moved into Folsom. Over the years I’ve seen the energy (and the readers, merchandise, etc.) change here tremendously… and NOT in a good way.
I’ve seen a number of readers here and one in particular stands out for me… KRIS TONDEE! He is INCREDIBLE!!! However, he left and they wouldn’t tell me where he went… HUH?! I think that is really mean-​spirited of them! If they truly want to exude love, positivity, energy, etc then what is this about?!
Anyway, I know where he is working now (in midtown Sac), so their loss for sure! Also, they had a Tarot reader there (Dana) who also left and I found her too… at the same midtown Sac store… YAY! The only reader they still have that (have seen!!!) I would go see is Roxie Reynolds… she is also THE BOMB! I don’t like the energy in the store anymore though… or the game-​playing, so I won’t be back. Hopefully, Roxie will leave too and go where she is appreciated!!!
Hopefully, they change up their game plan so they can get back to their basics… serving the people of the Eastern part of the Valley. Good luck!

Belly Dance Class with ‘Selayma Anan’very disappointing. I never came across such a rude instructor. I would never recommend her if you want to take belly dancing class for fun. Go for a different instructor.
This lady doesn’t know how to talk & treat there costumers/​students. Very unprofessional, no paper work, registration form, no receipt. Also never pay for the classes in cash they refuse to provide service. I paid by my card at the store & not getting the refund for the unsatisfactory & disappointing service.

There is so much that I want to say about this store that I don’t even know where to start! Please pardon me if this review is all over the place as I excitedly tell you why I love this magical shop.
First, let me specify that neither myself or my husband are necessarily «into» metaphysical merchandise. We’re both spiritual in our own unique way (myself more so than him), but have never really given much thought to the types of things that this store has to offer, despite finding them fascinating. The fact that we spent well over an hour admiring the contents of this place should speak volumes!
What types of things can you find here? Lots! Knick knacks/​collectibles, stones, toys, jewelry, and women’s clothing, to name just a few, but you really have no idea just how lovely all of it is without actually checking it out in person. I’ll do my best to paint the picture for you:
Knick knacks/​collectibles: HUGE, diverse selection of glass figurines, pewter pieces, and much, much more. Whether you’re looking for a tiny plastic Buddha or a giant glass tiger, this is the place to get it. The sections are extremely organized and separated by theme (Indian, dragons, nature, fairies, etc).
Stones: Wow! Probably my favorite part of the store. A wide range. Simply beautiful. All are marked with their name and what they are used for (see pictures). They also sell pouches in various sizes and designs, perfect for stone storage.
Toys: Unique gifts for kids, lots of things I’ve never seen before! All very educational and animal or nature related. Very nice selection of high quality puppets.
Jewelry: Gorgeous stone pieces — earrings, bracelets, rings, necklaces.
Women’s clothing: A pretty considerable section of unique pieces. Colorful shirts and skirts a plenty.
Price wise, I was never shocked by the price tag. Nothing seemed too expensive or as if it was unfairly priced.
We were able to take our time and look around at everything (and take pictures of it) without being watched and without feeling like we were bothering the employees. The associate who took care of us was very nice and made small talk as we were being rung up. I’m not sure what it was that was causing some of the other reviewers to get a bad vibe or feel unwelcome here, but we did not have that problem at all.
We only bought a few small things, but I would love to go back sometime with a little extra money. Stop in if you’re in the area! You never know what might jump out at you!

Simone loves crystals, and so do I. We ended up getting two fluorite crystal bracelets, one hematite bracelet and a pendant «cage». I really enjoy going into the back room with the himalayan salt crystals and the singing crystal bowls. If I could get one of those, it would be so great!
I can spend for hours and hours because there are just so many interesting things here. I even saw rare crystals like moldavites and sunstone crystals. I was shocked to have seen them there since the only place I knew was to get them on the internet. Love this place. Definitely will return again.

I like to stop by here when I’m walking down Sutter Street because they have some really fascinating paraphernalia that you wouldn’t find just anywhere. They have all kinds of unique clothing, jewelry, candles, good-​luck charms, decorations, religious icons, and even toys. The prices are mostly on the ridiculous side, but you can find some good deals if you poke around enough.
The owners, like the owners of almost any other shop on Sutter Street, are snooty and kind of pushy. I always get the feeling that they think I’m shoplifting, and just to clarify, I’m not.
Today I decided to get my daughter a dream-​catcher, because she has been having nightmares, and they had some really cute ones for $ 10 and under. As we were picking one out, the owner walked up to me to remind me that she was closing in ten minutes. This is just always funny to me, because I also work in retail and we are not allowed to tell people that we are closed, but whatever. The best part is that after we quickly picked out a pink dream-​catcher and headed up to the register, the owner took a good five minutes to ring us up and wrap the item in tissue paper.
Anyways, this place is interesting, and worth checking out.
